- Splatoon 2 has just turned 6 years old and for a year of its life, its successor, Splatoon 3 has been out. During that year, people occasionally like coming back to Splatoon 2 to see just how different everything is between the two games. From re-living MPU to the...interesting Splatoon 2 specials... there are plenty of fun things to look at in this game. So I wanted to make a satirical video showing How Splatoon 3 players see Splatoon 2, highlighting things that both games do right while poking fun at some of their shortcomings. Splatoon 2 brings back so many memories for me- I remember my excitement when I first got the game and I was OBSESSED with Salmon Run.
And now they stepped it up even further with Splatoon 3 salmon run x)

Anything's bound to get stale if you put enough time into it. 2k hours in Splatoon 2 is probably one of those cases.
I love Splatoon 2. That was my first Splatoon game and I LOVED it ever since I was young. Now looking back to Splatoon 2 and playing it again, I think I’m falling in love with it again. help 😭😭😭

I know most people highly dislike the story mode for Splatoon 2, but I really enjoyed it. The first story mode trailer for Splatoon 2 got me hyped for the game when it was first coming out! Also the battle music in Splatoon 2 is just amazing. (Chirpy Chips, Wet Floor, and Ink Theory my beloveds!!!!)
[2:21] This bought me BACK.i think like 35% of my total play time on this game was just waiting. and throughout the entire life of splat 2 they never added the feature to change pitch in ranked (at least not to my knowledge)
Also does anyone else miss shifty stations? Yeah me too
I remember recording Splatoon 2 Inside the Minds and a decent chunk of the footage would just be the waiting screen haha.

It's hard to describe it, but the aesthetic in S2 is so much more "splatoon" than in S3.

I thought it might've been cooler if on one side of the thumbnail there was alpha's splat 2 octoling design and the other one there was alpha's splat 3 octoling design
Tbh, I don't know if people would be able to tell much of a difference unless my Splatoon 3 Octoling was doing an emote.

Its so crazy on how things change. Back in Splat2 i remember always spamming ink armor bc i was an splat jr main, now i only spam the bubbler or whatever its called (big bubble, big bubbler?? i dont remember) I miss a lot of maps tho like Camp Triggerfish (from borh S1 and S2), Arowana Mall (also from S1 and S2), and so much more. Nintendo: PLEASE bring back shifty stations, or at least something similar 😭😭

I like Splatoon 2 as well. As been at it since 2016, it was a great time, Splatoon 2 increased my Aggressiveness and Results, Kills increased and I played somewhat better than some friends, The only hate I had was teammates, I do turf more because I win the most from it, But I’m staying in Splatoon for a long time, except Splatoon 1, I’m retiring from that
The 5 years that ppl played Splatoon 2 definitely helped a ton of people master the mechanics. Glad you were one of them!

When looked back, I immediately was brought back the memories of using my precious Splat Roller with it’s SPLASHDOWN THRASHDOWN!!!! (I call it that whenever I super-jump and use it. I miss it so much because i felt so……..Alive and Powerful 💥

I don't really have any burning desire to go to Splatoon 2 even if I may have nostalgia for the first two games. I didn't put much effort into 2 like I did with 1 but 3 feels more polished and fun and well balanced and it even has a brighter future since sizzle season and the devs are without a doubt making the game much better at a gradual rate
That's valid! I just like going back to Splatoon 2 since a lot of Splatoon 3's best features are built off of Splatoon 2.
@@Alphastar716 plus a lot of Splatoon 2 weapons are improved in Splatoon 3 and I generally don't have a burning desire to jump back into memory line since I didn't put much time in it

And lets be real ink armor is only as effective as your teamates are, it can’t make a bad team bearable, it can only make a good team a NIGHTMARE.
There is only 1 splatoon 2 singleplayer there should be.

Ah yes, I do remember the times where the quota wouldn’t go above 20, That lesser salmonids lived up to their name And I could tank 20 chums and not perish horribly. And if course the times when the best salmon run map “*The Ruins of Ark Polairis*” was available, good times.

Ok but watch Drizzle season 23 be the best update ever and give everyone what they wanted lmao. (Including gold dynano) in all seriousness, splatoon 3 still needs and has the time to grow, I’ve been told that splatoon 2 didn’t feel so great at launch either. Let splatoon 3 cook for a while and it can get out all of the great stuff in has in store! Splatoon 2 did a lot of great things to push the series forward while having some issues here and there, so did splatoon 3! But It’s best that we don’t forget about these games, at the very least, they sure did something right.
