This is what I carry at work every day. Hope y’all enjoy the video! Ps. Forgot to mention my Milwaukee nail puller and Klein wrench on my nail bag side lol
People saying this is too much tools blow my mind. I do for work and carry almost identical tools. Only difference is I don’t carry chamfers on me but everything else is a must and used daily
Speaking from a recently retired Boston union 30 year Carpenter. Your belt looks great but trust me when I tell you this. Every year your belt will get lighter & lighter. Lol. Good luck with your career it'll go buy quick !!!💪🇺🇸🇺🇸
I'm envious of your hard hat, we aren't allowed to wear those in Canada since they don't have CSA approval. I'll be wearing Honeywell Fibre-Metal for the rest of my days.
When I meet someone like this with so many tools. I tell myself that his materiel is close or he have a runner that bring him all the shit . You must be clever and brillant to work with less tool
I am sure you are well meaning. But no need for most of what gear around your waist 1. Nail bags too big, one nail bag only. You have too much gear on you to move at speed and efficiently. 2. All you need is a 28 or 32 Oz long shaft estwing. A pair of wire nips, 8m tape, couple of pencils, Stanley blade. Your hammer should hang at your side, the way you have your hammer at your back, too slow to pull out and the shaft of your hammer hits the back of your legs when you walk All other tools you need are hand saw, gorrila bar 3ft. Spirit level, string line and a dual rachet for scaffold and decking and you keep these close by while you work and use when needed. The reason I know this I was a formwork carpenter for 39 years. You will find your working day much easier than hauling all that gear around your waist. Good luck anyway.
It is very interesting to me, to see the difference between U.S. construction workers and the ones here in the netherlands. You seem to wear so much equipment on your belt? We only wear a bag of duplex and sinkers, a hammer, some pencils, a chalk(line), wire and clippers and a stanley knife. If we need other stuff, we just grab it out if the toolcontainer put it in a bucket and carry it with us... We value mobility especially in formwork. Could you maybe tell me why you wear so many tools in your belt instead of only grabbing them when needed? I am quite interested in knowing so! :)
I'm a form carpenter and you need all these tools when you climb because you won't have someone to get you tools and Def no place to put a bucket of tools with a chance of falling from heights, you need erything at your disposal at the moment.
Wow...seems like way too much stuff, but there is no right way. I framed and finished houses when I was young and carried a fraction of what Nolan wears.
I've been looking at buying those bags but they just seem really big. What is your experience? And I've heard that the dye on the bags can stain your pants is that true? I do general carpentry. Framing, concrete forming, trim, drywall and a bit of rebar work. Right now I do mostly concrete forming. Anyway! Great video!
They’re definitely on the bigger side. I’ve never seen dye staining pants haha. Honestly I’d get diamond backs at this point. Occidental bags are a little old school now
I decided to leave the union a few months ago to work as a project manager in the residential construction world. Not sure if that’s the type of interview you’d be wanting to produce but 🤷🏼♂️
@@nolanmckeown8578 I don't think you have to union to have a good life. plus i want to show all sides. I'm having a good experience with unions. I'm assuming you have knowledge people want to hear.

@@nolanmckeown8578 I am about to either start my apprenticeship with the carpenters union or the iron workers union but they make it seem like the work is all over the place and I wanting to frame and woodwork idk. Do you have like a set thing you do or what kind of work do they usually have you doing?
@@brandonjohnson901 right now I’m doing steel stud/drywall aka interior systems but most of my work since I’ve been union has been forms. iron workers make a little better money in most places across the country. If your going union be prepared to travel. Most wood framing is non union these days
This is what I look like when I try and take all the grocery bags in at once from the trunk.

Have you considered making kydex holsters for some of these, higher up on your body, rather than all in the waist bags?
how do you take off the leg hardest part of the exo fit ?

Nice set up, I have been doing this for 15+ years and my set up is constantly changing/upgrading
Same here! Almost 7 years in and I’m still changing the setup need be ✊🏼

Ugh, those are super wide. You must have a ton of fun getting through confined spaces.
Yeah it sucks ass if you gotta squeeze through something. Lol
you like calling your hammer an M1, dont ya
haha good vid man
What’s the Klein bag for? Water and snacks and shit? Thats what I’ve noticed the guys on my crew use it for
I use it for vise grips and extra chalk box with a bottle of water on top 😂
Rodbuster use it for snacks water or to carry rod chairs, structural ironworkers use them for surprise surprise, bolts.
@Li Torres yeah im a form carpenter, so different strokes for different folks.
You gotta tie off over 4ft??

I've seen the dye stain pants on guys that sweat alot
What would be a good size for a adjustable wrench to carry for a everyday thing?
10 in 12 in. 10-in minimum they work on the oxygen/ acetylene tank gauges.
10” adjustable spud wrench
Do you slide the bags on to the harness?
They go on the hip belt of the harness
Is this real?
Use white chalk. Tajima makes it. It’ll never stain.
how much does all that weigh.
Too much

An okay business name?

too much. i got like 15 tools max. not like 30+ i had to learn to work with less, just to minize the weight fatigue.
Nice set up but to much for an old man like me to carry
Apprentices shouldn't make videos. Them brand new bags and belt. Def not putting up no concrete panels with them wide ass bags
Talking shit ain’t gonna get you anywhere in life. Try and stay off the OOW with that attitude lol
Ppl don't realize what it takes
Chamfer cutters do not belong in your bags lol
Maybe not in your but they sure do belong in mine. I use them all day everyday
Love my chamfer cutter as well. Definitely way more efficient than trying to find a handsaw all the time or using a utility knife.
Chamfered cutters stay in my tool box only to be let out when I do my tool check in class 😂😂
as a resi framer hoooooly shit that rig looks heavy and miserable
commercial form work
Очень далеко стоишь ни чего невидно
Should not have done this in the garage the acoustics are terrible
Ain't no way ur wearing them electrician bags being a union concrete carpenter. U bought the wrong bags apprentice.
Damn bro you woke up drinking the haterade today huh? Foreman must have rode you pretty hard huh?? 😂
Lots of weight on your shoulders.
Nope. 80% of the weight is on the belt when worn correctly
He’s missing stuff too, dual nanos, postitioner, crescent wrench, vise grips, torpedo level, cats paw, long ass screwdriver
I used the Sala harness setup before. It's heavy as hell on shoulders , better off using a lightweight harness under with a pouch
