The problem with vigilantism is that even though one in 1000 vigilantes will be effective with almost no collateral damage, the majority would be twitchy kids with no trigger discipline. Most of those people would find themselves in situations they were not at all prepared for and get innocent people hurt or killed in the path of their incompetence. Therefore, with the way the law works, it’s simply easier to outlaw every case so you can prosecute before someone gets unnecessarily harmed. Frank Castle is a deeply troubled man. It's nearly impossible to portray a crazed, angry and yet a just murderer. It's why all superheroes or antiheroes completely gloss over the crazed murderer part. But if you kill people, you're a murderer. Jon portrayed every single aspect of his character. He could ask for as much money as he wants and they simply have no choice but to recast him. He is The Punisher.

Jon Bernthal is the perfect Punisher. And in real life, he's one of the nicest most humble guys I have ever met. My family and I met him in 2019, and he was just awesome. He talks to you, like you're old friends, and he's very kind. When he found out that my father-in-law loved him in Fury, he replied, "Tell him Coon-Ass says 'Sup !" That made my father-in-law grin from ear to ear. Jon doesn't forget where he comes from, or how he got to where he is now. He is a top notch guy in my book. I hope he comes back as The Punisher.

I feel like this scene perfectly captures who Punisher is supposed to be as a character. He doesn’t care AT ALL about anything. All that matters to him is that he gets to put down the bad guys. While the Punisher tv show was good, it completely missed Frank Castle as a character. Not to say it was bad though, because it was great. It’s just hard to have Punisher as a lead character without really changing up his character.
By the end of S2 that's kind of what we got - the Punisher fully. He tries twice in the entire series to live normally and move on, but finds himself unable to. By the end of the season 2, he's now on his armed crusade against crime.

One thing people often forget about this scene is that Frank didn’t went full crazy out of pure craziness, he was coerced by the guard working for Kingpin to force himself to go to jail, he probably threatened to kill Karen or some other people.

This guy is the perfect actor for this role. He's a great actor too I've seen him in quite a few other things. The Pacific, the walking dead (Shane!), and definitely a few others I'm not remembering at the moment. He's great.

Jon Bernthal is the perfect Punisher. And in real life, he's one of the nicest most humble guys I have ever met. My family and I met him in 2019, and he was just awesome. He talks to you, like you're old friends, and he's very kind. When he found out that my father-in-law loved him in Fury, he replied, "Tell him Coon-Ass says 'Sup !" That made my father-in-law grin from ear to ear. Jon doesn't forget where he comes from, or how he got to where he is now. He is a top notch guy in my book. I hope he comes back as The Punisher.

I feel like this scene perfectly captures who Punisher is supposed to be as a character. He doesn’t care AT ALL about anything. All that matters to him is that he gets to put down the bad guys. While the Punisher tv show was good, it completely missed Frank Castle as a character. Not to say it was bad though, because it was great. It’s just hard to have Punisher as a lead character without really changing up his character.
By the end of S2 that's kind of what we got - the Punisher fully. He tries twice in the entire series to live normally and move on, but finds himself unable to. By the end of the season 2, he's now on his armed crusade against crime.
I like that he would be super happy in jail as long as they didn't send him to a Looney bin BC then he can continue punishing criminals
After he established a pattern with no sign of stopping, they would arrange for permanent solitary confinement
