Your obsessive hatred of Lazenby is blinding you. In "You Only Live Twice" Connery was tired of playing Bond, he went through that film on autopilot, disinterested and overweight. And just 4 years after YOLT, in "Diamonds Are Forever", he had aged incredibly. So no, OHMSS certainly wouldn't have been better with him. You're kidding yourself.
This film is fantastic! One that is endlessly rewatchable, this scene being a key reason why. George Lazenby was a fantastic Bond; more human and Fleming-esque than his predecessor Sean Connery.
Maybe it is to hack youtubes copyright recognition.. maybe it is to give that retro feeling of mono.. or just maybe do I lack ripping skills.. who knows.. ok.. I lack the skills
This Blu-ray version is so much better than the original Theatrical version. This entire scene was shot in daylight and so the night time special effect wasn't really great as the night sky looked blue. This feels like a real night time feel
That's a shame, Connery is the GOAT, but Lazenby doesn't get the credit he deserves. Much more close to how Fleming wrote Bond, looked the part completely, and was fantastic with the fight scenes. All around an underrated movie and an extremely underrated Bond.
Lazenby was fine until he opened his mouth. Sorry, but he could not act. Admittedly though the script for OHMSS was not very good, the writers put in lots of very silly and lame jokes that just came across as weak and camp. If only Sean Connery hadn't passed on this movie and the script had more polish and spit on it, as it could have been the best Bond movie of all. Plot-wise it certainly is closest to the books as well as having the most flavour.
@@RobertK1993 Lazenby was a fantastic Bond, much closer to how Fleming wrote him. He looked the part, had the swagger, and nailed the fight scenes. This movie and his performance do not get the credit it's due. This is also considered to be the one of the best Bond films of the whole series. What a horrible comment and a discredit to Lazenby's portrayal. I really suggest you watch becoming Bond on Hulu, Lazenby narrates and it explores how he got the role and how much he put into it.
Have to say, a sincere life goal of myself is to escape an alpine mountain top lair in the middle of the night on skis
Mine too! True Bond fan. :)
I always pretend Sean Connery Bond in it its much better watch.

This is one of the true highlights of the Bond series. With John Barry's marvelous theme powering along the stunning action and stunts.
My right ear enjoyed this

4:30 it's like an insect being strangled
this film has some great shot and camera work but the montage its terrible at times.
I love it!!!

This movie needed Sean Connery 🏴 RIP I always pretend he is James Bond while watching it makes it more enjoyable 🙂.
