- The NFL has changed a lot in 10 years, I decided to take you back to 2007 just to show you the different story lines that you may have forgotten about.

This year the browns went 10-6 and this is the last year Tampa and Jacksonville made the playoffs as well.
ThatSink yeah they only missed the playoffs because pittsburgh who was also 10-6 had a better record against divisional opponents (Pitt 4-2 cle 3-3)
Titans were pretty good too. Then they had a great 2008 season and fell apart right after that. Looks like they're finally back.
jasonfire34 yep they also went 10-6 in 07 and got the #6 seed also because of divisional record over Cleveland. Jacksonville was the #5 with an 11-5 record.
And they didn't make the playoffs. What a fun season though. Best year of my 5 year season ticket run.
If Phil Dawson's 40 yard field goal made it thru in week 3 against the raiders. The Browns would have won the AFC north and faced Jacksonville.

Lazy promotion of hashtags much? My guess is the Texans, Bills and Raiders are the top of the AFC while the NFC has the Cowboys, Eagles and Seahawks. Joe Flacco is unambiguously considered elite after a Pro-Bowl year and an extra ring. Cleveland stunk into the playoffs once. New England kicked the bucket after Bill left. The Saints GM Peyton manning are fighting against relocation to San Antonio/Mexico City/London/Toronto by making the team good. Dan Snyder was fired for incompetency but the new owner is trying to buy the rights to the 5 times in the last decade NBA champions Golden State warriors logo rights to be used on the "Washington Warriors". The Jaguars moved to Paris after they held the 2024 Olympics while moving to AFC East and replacing the Dolphins who are in the South. Germany, Japan, South Korea, Australia and Spain have all held NFL games on their soils.
Makes sense. I could one day see the San Antonio Saints & the Paris Jaguars rising to the top but let's be honest, since Bortles is one of the GOATs, he's the only reason why that team is 7-9. Jalen Ramsey had like one good rookie year, what a bust, surprised he is still on the team.
Actually the Saints are still in New Orleans. It's just the team is really facing an old and worn out stadium with a city uninterested in replacing it with a smaller one more appropriate for the metro's size. The team however is fine at around .500 every year. For the Jaguars Bortles was traded for Paxton Lynch after the 2017 season and they have never looked back and Ramsey was very good until he was injured and released in 2021. He's playing with the WLGF's Jacksonville Seawovle's which were the Canadian Voyageurs until the
CFL kicked them out in exchange for relocating the St.Louis Gunners to Mississauga.

I missed those days, especially when defenders can still play defense. I know there were some rules changes that time too, just that they're not as bad as what it would become years later.
I was in Basic Training during that Super Bowl. The next morning (us not having watched it obviously) one of the drill sergeants asked the platoon "where my Patriots fans at?" at morning formation. The couple Patriots fans responded saying "Here, Drill Sergeant!" to which my DS replied "Well they LOST!" it was a good day.
Imagine once they were able to find out exactly how it happened. I bet their heads exploded.

You're kidding me right? The 2000-01 Ravens by far had the worst offense that ever played in a Super Bowl. They went 6 games without an offensive touchdown, yet went 12-4. They turned the ball over the 9th most in the league. But their defense had 49 takeaways...That's 3 a game. Their offense was pathetic, and the only reason their PPG was decent was thanks to the great field position the defense always gave the offense.

Dante Maule No way, yes the Giants have improved a lot especially in their defense but there is no way they will go from a non playoff team to the super bowl in one season. Eli Manning just doesn't have what it takes anymore sadly. The best I expect them to do is get to the wild card game and that's it.

This was my first ff season... LT was the most dominating force he crushed me to end the year. I thought I was so bad I quit 08 lol... not realizing it was the greatest RB season + great 1 game performance. 2RB Jackson was my RB who got hurt early. MJD was star rookie the previous year.
The SB was crazy too with perfect team vs wild card team barely won each game to win SB. It's one of the best NFL seasons ever very memorable.
This was fun. I enjoyed it. I'll give it a thumbs up.

2007 is the year that got me into watching the NFL. That Patriots team was just incredible. The Superbowl was also one of the greatest of all time. Still my favorite season.
