    People forget just how incredible Dan Marino was, especially in 1984. He threw for over 5000 yards with 48 TDs in a league where defense was king. Had he played at that same level in today's league, he'd probably have a 6000 yrd/65 TD season.

    The late 80s to early 90s Houston Oilers went to 7 straight play offs and failed every time to get past the 2nd round. They also blew the biggest lead in NFL history in the '92 season. They were overrated. Run n shoot is deceiving. It only works against the horrible teams. Most of the better teams had no problem beating the Oilers. Oilers only playoff win during the Moon era was against an 8-8 Jets' team in the first round of playoffs. That in itself is a joke. Oilers were one big joke. The Houston fans wanted them out. The Houston fans knew in a few more years they would get another franchise, and that is what happened.

      We should’ve for sure won during the 14-2 season in 2006 with ladanian tomlinson’s 28 rushing TD mvp season. The team was so stacked, but ofc the patriots were the problem. We should’ve beat the pats in the divisional, beat the colts (who we seemed in the 2000’s to always win during playoff matchups), and then beat the very weak bears team in the Super Bowl. But in reality, we had a sloppy divisional game against pats, and were one and done.

    As a Chargers fan, I feel you should make a part 2 to this video. There's a few teams that I feel should also be included on this list (80s Chargers, 06-09 Chargers, 80s Bengals, 85 Bears, the late 90s Packers, etc).

      Dominate QBs doesn't always mean your going to get Championships.
      The Denver Broncos, with, Elway, and Manning only combined for 3 rings. Elway appeared in 5 Superbowls (2-3). Manning went to two with Denver. (1-1).
      Rodgers, at least in my opinion, will get GB back to the promised land at least one more time.

    I’d put my Chicago Bears on this list as well. I thought the Bears might have been able to add at least one more title during the late 80’s.
    However an unremarkable offense led by oft injured or inconsistent Quarterbacks doomed them.

      Your best chance was 09. And then Favre did what Favre does best. Throw a big pick in a big moment. I’m a Green Bay fan and when I saw that I thought “Now Minnesota knows how us packer fans felt for years.” Getting so far only for Favre to throw a last minute pick to lose the game. Like in the 07 Championship game. It was gonna be the story book ending for Favre. Win the championship game, go back to the super bowl, and beat the pats (they would have. People forget how good the 07 GB defense was. And Favre was having a great season.) But he decided to, instead of tossing it to his wide open running back Ryan Grant or his Wide Open Receiver in Greg Jennings, he decides to throw it to a covered Donald Driver and gets picked. Favre just irritated me so much. But I really wish he could win a second Super Bowl.

      Bears should have won 4 Super Bowls. But they won in 1985 because Buddy Ryan ran the defense and ignored Ditka and Mcmahon ran the offense also ignoring Ditka and changing the plays he called. After 85 Ryan left and Jim was hurt so now Ditka was running both sides of the ball and players to this day said Ditka was always out coached and the players also did not respect Ditka. Add to that Ditka was more interested in commercials and being a celebrity than he was about winning and the players followed his lead. Thus they never won again. And after ALL these years we are farther from winning than ever!

    • @TheBrett04
      @TheBrett04 5 лет назад +3

      They won it all in 1996. Then the next year, they ran into a Denver team that wanted it more. Then, after the 1998 season, Reggie White retired and things were different. There only legitimate chance at winning another SB during the Favre era was in 2003. They had a solid defense and their running game, along with their offensive line, was stacked. I remember them going into Tampa Bay and beating the defending champs even though Favre threw for under 100 yards. Favre's Father then passed away and things went crazy. Favre had the game of his life vs. the Raiders and the next week the Cardinals beat the Vikings on a 4th down td pass to put Green Bay into the playoffs. First round of the playoffs, Al Harris has a pick 6 to beat Seattle in OT. Then, the infamous 4th and 26 in Philly.

They were 14-2 and statistically their defense was even better than the 85 unit but they were 1 dimensional on offense thanks to the injury and that just won't get it done in the postseason.

    The 1990 Bills had outscored their playoff opponents 75-17 before the Super Bowl. Eagles fans have it worse than Browns fans. The world wouldn't know we haven't won a playoff game in almost a decade. Every year we make big splashes in the off season, just to get our hopes crushed by week 6, then we have a little hope in week 10 before it's looking at who's available in the draft by week 14. Browns fans already know they're gonna suck. For us it's a rollercoaster ride of emotions which leads to misery in the end.

    The problem I saw with the Indianapolis Colts was the defense. It is great when you have the NFL's best offense, but one of its worst defenses every year. #vintageNFL
