Nice selection you clearly are old skool in age :) as some notable ones here, teaser trailers are a must unlike the terrible 3 min trailers of today !!
Jurassic Park, T2, Cloverfield, The Exorcist, The Shining. Such amazing teasers! The (Twin Towers) Spiderman teaser, Twister and Godzilla 1998 are also all worthy of a mention. Also, the initial trailer for X Men DOFP.
Jurassic Park was probably the only non-sequel teaser trailer that got people excited, since it talked about dinosaurs. If you hadn't heard of a movie or say a book it was based on, then a teaser might not be that great. _Superman Returns_ teaser with Marlon Brando's voice was pretty good; I just wish the movie could have been like getting a better Superman III or IV. _The Force Wakens_ one was excellent and helped that movie earn $2 billion. _T2_ should probably be in the tops since I wanted to see that scene again when the movie came out, but didn't. It would be years before I saw it again on the internet, since I didn't get any movies that had it as a trailer.
20: Inception (2010) 19: Alien (1979) 18: The Raid 2 17: The Exorcist (1973) 16: The Force Awakens (2015) 15: Terminator 2 Judgement Day (1991) 14: Age of Ultron (2015) 13: Jurassic Park (1993) 12: The Matrix (1999) 11: Back To The Future (1985) 10: The Dark Knight (2008) 9: Superman (1978) 8: The Revenant (2015) 7: Total Recall (1990) 6: Superman Returns (2006) 5: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) 4: Blade Runner 2049 (2017) 3: Cloverfield (2008) 2: The Shining (1980) 1: The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo (2011)
I think that Terminator 2 teaser was the best. It can't be topped. The rest of the choices on here are pretty damn good. BUT the teasers for X-Men: DOFP, Titanic and Avatar should be on this list more than Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
Excellent teaser. One of the tops, and I wanted to see it again and in the movie, but had to wait for the Internet since I didn't buy a VHS that had it.
Force awakens = teaser trailer is better than the movie. That folks is talent. Just imagine the brain power it takes to ruin a complete franchise. They had that much talent they had fans actually turning to the prequels and seeing them in a whole new way to the point fans actually said they loved those three movies now. Bravo Disney, please take a bow because you’re work is complete
Im sorry but the Terminator 2 teaser trailer should be closer to No 1. It was the most anticipated movie since Empire Strikes Back. And where is Avatar and Titanic?
_T2_ is probably the best teaser on this video of 20, just beating out _The Force Awakens_ and _Superman Returns:_ Pretty much any teaser that wasn't a sequel could only be so-so if audiences didn't know about the film, or book (or comic book) it was based on. _Jurassic Park_ would be one of the best of those, since it talked about dinosaur DNA and Steven Spielberg. There was an excellent _Spider-Man (2002)_ trailer that got withdrawn after 9/11/2001 that featured the World Trade Center and a helicopter being webbed between them. One of the tops is _Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me._ It looked like it was going to be a teaser for _The Phantom Menace_ and said "If you see one movie this year [in 1999] then see Star Wars. But if you see two movies, see _Austin Powers...."_ _The Phantom Menace (1999)_ trailer is still hands-down the best of all time since people actually paid money just to see the trailer at the movies! Those that didn't took them a long time to download it (or similar one) from the internet on a 52k modem.
Someone said _X-Men (2000)_ was really good. If you'd never seen a live-action superhero movie, then the visuals were stunning. I hadn't read _Harry Potter_ before watching the first two movies in theater, and the 1 min 53 second teaser (2001) shows a lot without giving it away. Still I don't think I was sold until the main trailer came out, saying "You're a Wizard, Harry." _The Chamber of Secrets (2002)_ teaser doesn't look like a teaser either at 2 minutes. _Aliens_ teaser doesn't have any dialog and shows a lot of clips. _Predator 2_ at one minute is excellent: it gives you just enough for you to say, "I want to see this movie" and not want another trailer to spoil it for you.
I remember my brother and I seeing the T2 teaser on a video we rented and having no idea they were making a sequel. We were blown away.
The Exorcist teaser genuinely scared me more than the actual movie did

3: Cloverfield (2008)
2: The Shining (1980)
1: The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo (2011)
It's telling the latest one is Blade Runner bc that's the last time I was ultimately excited for a film.
T2 hands down has the greatest teaser in my opinion.
Wow that Empire Strikes Back teaser gives away almost the entire movie.
Ducking jeez, shut my dude, I wasn’t prepared for that Jurassic Park jumpscare
I love how the Empire Strikes Back teaser is just a bunch of concept art
Left out Godzilla 1998.
YES. People may have hated the final product but that teaser got everyone hooked.
And The Rugrats Movie (Another 1998 Film)
The multiple Godzilla 1998 teasers!
Those were better than the actual movie too lol
Left out one of the best teasers I’ve ever seen , the goonies. If you haven’t see it, do yourself a favor and search it.
Even though I have already seen The Exorcist many times that teaser trailer freaks me out.
Great selection 👏👏

The “Flash Gordon” 1980 teaser should of been in this. “Pathetic Earthlings - who can save you now?” - lol
I actually prefer the first trailer for Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut over The Shining. "They did a bad, bad thing...."
Inception had a couple of great teasers
Left out the Comicon teaser for Godzilla 2014, and the teasers for Kill Bill, Grindhouse and Crank 2
20. Inception (2010)
19. Alien (1979)
18. The Raid 2
17. The Exorcist (1973)
16. Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)
15. Terminator 2 (1991)
The first teaser of The Social Network is snubbed.
Did u ever saw Saaho teaser best 🔥🔥🔥
Iron man 3 teaser trailer is one of my favourites
Resident evil apocalypse should be on this list
the real “teaser”s; T2, jurassic park, btf, cloverfield, and the shining
Transformers ❤
No Dirty Rotten Scoundrels? No Men At Work? No Young Guns? No Psycho with Hitchcock house tour? Hmmmmm......
Must be a Stars Wars fan, leaving out Star Trek (2009).
INDEPENDENCE DAY has a amazing teaser also GHOST AND THE DARKNESS and AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON and ARMAGEDDON.
X-Men Days of Future Past
Left out the Lord if the Rings Trilogy
The Thing (1982).
2014 Godzilla teaser.
What no Goldeneye
The Exorcist one is awful
For epileptic people maybe
