VB's light saber is a cool tool and a very economical option! Good job, Peter.

      Thank you!
Yeah, I do like the one I selected a lot. I chose one without a fuller out of 5 or 6 different ones as it was lighter and more nimble, ironically. Review coming up.

@@historyandsabre I think their new model doesn't include a fuller anymore and they are pointing to an overall weight of ~650g and a PoB of 12cm. The only thing I don't enjoy too much is the handle's outer material. But otherwise it's a great tool to practice saber with, specially victorian systems. Also works very well for Arlow, either his high tierce method or his variation of the Radaellian system. However, for these, I'd prefer the PoB to be 2cm closer to the guard, even if it required it to be 700g.
On that note: you should check out the book "Sir Gusztáv Arlow's Sabre Fencing: Austro-Hungarian Sabre Series, Vol. 3" by Russ Mitchell. I was mind blown by how clear and detailed Arlow's descriptions were. It's great to cross-reference with any other radaellian author, Barbasetti specially.

Nicely done! Curious how long you'd say it takes to get to the level of sparring something like this?

Thanks! Depends on how much time you can spend on training. For sabre, I'd say it's possible in a year or two with 1-2 nights per week.

great sparring! Wanted to ask what type of sabers do you use and how long? Looks like it's kreiger in your hand but i can't be sure :D

Remember your review of the Kreiger Saber? Many colleagues of mine experienced blade breakage and poor quality. What's your long-term opinion on it?

At the moment I'd probably go with a VB Light or a SIGI Big or SIGI Pro.
