With Harrison out, Woodley had himself a great game. Wallace & AB both went for over 100 yds too. When Ward went down, AB really did step up in this game. What a treat it was to watch all of these guys play football. An older gem but goodness it feels like yesterday! Thanks for watching.. I have a Hines Ward video cooking up!

Really makes you appreciate what we had- clutch receivers, HOF QB, great defense. Teams aren’t built like this anymore.

Damn, we had Wallace, Ward, Brown, Sanders, and Miller. Pretty sure that has to be one of the most loaded WR rooms ever right?

Antonio Brown, Mike Wallace, Emmanuelle Sanders, and Heath Miller. That's an elite group of ball catchers.

That 2011 defense was deadly ☠️!! Remember Lamar Woodley having a DPOY type season then pulled a hamstring and was never the same after that. Looking back at that run the Steelers had in the early Tomlin era of 2007-2011 def should of had at least 2 rings. Hard to win though, so I’m not as critical as most fans are. Legion of boom only won 1, same with Bucs D, Ravens D in 2000. Outside of Pats having Brady and just cheating, it’s hard to win. That 2008 Steelers D/team will always be my favorite but the Steelers with two straight 12-4 seasons in 10 and 11 and not winning still hurts 😂

Every time I see the Cardinals and the Steelers square up it reminds of Super Bowl 43 when they played against each other. To me, that was a unique match up. Two unlikely teams who never played each other face off at a chance to bring their city a Lombardi trophy, it don't get any better than that.

And Ken Wisenhunt and Russ Grimm were coaching the Birds.. Pat Pete was a rookie. Ben AB and Heath tearing it up. Those were such good Steelers teams.

You look at some of these plays that Ben made in the 3rd quarter, Pickett simply doesn’t have that. Doesn’t mean he won’t be a good QB, but Ben was special.

I'm glad we had Big Ben.
It almost as if God answered an age old question, what would have happened if Pittsburgh had drafted Marino.
In the end (and yes, I was heavy into football when Marino was a rookie), I think Ben was better than Dan overall.
Ben never had a losing season and also reached three SB's (winning two).
Then again, I do wonder, just how many SB's Dan would have had if he had been taken in the draft by Pit.
Mark Clayton was also in that same draft (waaay down the list too...)
If you could build a time machine... Heh....
Steelers could have ended up with: Dan Marino (#1), Richard Dent (#2), and several others including: WR Anthony Carter (Vikings fame), WR Mark Clayton, and LB Karl Mecklenburg (Denver LB)...
Without disrupting the draft too much.
Some of those guys like Clayton, Mecklenburg, and Carter were all very late picks by those teams.
Steelers would have left a bunch of guys on the board that might have gone to some of those teams.
Like WR's Greg Garrity, Wayne Capers, Paul Skansi, and their actual #1, Gabe Rivera.
The interesting thing there is, if Pittsburgh doesn't take Rivera but gets Marino instead....
Rivera doesn't get paralyzed by that car crash since he'd most likely be in another city.
I'd love to know what butterfly effect would indeed happen if those guys I mentioned above went to Pittsburgh...
Can you imagine Marino, Clayton, and Carter on offense?
Or Mecklenburg and Dent on defense...
    Holy.....
I'm sure Pittsburgh would have gotten a SB or two before 1990...
Their team went through some bad times from '85 to '90 but they weren't that terrible.
They had a decent defense most of the time with Mike Merriweather, Gary Dunn, and some others.
Fun to think about it I guess.
I know this, Stoudt sucked bad in 1983.. all those INT's he threw and fumbles...
Steelers would have been 11-0 had they had any other QB (Even Malone or a rookie Dan Marino) in there.
Stoudt tossed so many INT's in the opening game against Denver (10-14 loss) and also vs New England (23-28 loss)...
Before of course... that nasty 45-3 Thanksgiving loss to Detroit.
For the most part, they would have been dominate with a different QB.
The funny part is, Bradshaw would have still been on the team and maybe even still returned vs the Jets even with Marino as a rookie.
Fun trivia for those that don't know:
Steelers were the last team to play the Jets at Shea Stadium (that year in 1983) winning 34-7 (Bradshaw's last game)....
Then they were the first team to play the Jets the next year in their new home (Giants' stadium) beating them on a Thursday night.
I got my butt tore up by my dad for sneaking my TV on to watch that game (on a school night)...
Dang those thin trailer walls. LoL

It just flat out BLOWS we will never have this kinda football ever again in Pittsburgh Tomlin is a insecure coach that will stop at nothing to not allow the Brass to hire good coaches because he's afraid of loosing his job we are doomed to mediocre Tomlin may never have a loosing record but the Steelers will never be great again
