  • Our team is committed to clear out the enemies from the House at the Edge of Time as we take everything out in both reality and irreality!
The main event though is against one of my not so favourite enemies in the game as we get a surprise ambush stuck between an invisible wall and a lot of bugs!

@@CoredumpedGaming Looking forward to it, too. I'm currently playing another run on Core difficulty, using a build inspired by one I found on cRpg Bro's channel. So much fun playing evil (well, more chaotic than evil tbh but still) with my demon-powered enchantress who can, starting in chapter 3, command whole groups of enemies to stand still and do nothing with a single spell. If they don't have very high spell-resistance, that is.

There is a lot to be done with mind affecting spells in that game as you can reach some pretty high DCs with all the items that help in that. I had a playthrough that I left midway where my cleric was focused on enchantment also to some pretty good results! At some point I'll have to explore that some more

I guess ability damage is also doubled on Unfair, which makes these Mandragora swarms particularly dangerous. Also, I've had my trouble with the portal walls while in combat. This is the Very Definitely Final Dungeon (TM), except that it's not...

Indeed lol and yeah, ability damage gets doubled. It makes sense given that all damage gets doubled but at the same time it doesn't make much sense :p I think I remember that when we were going for armag Coredumpina got hit for 12 WIS on a single hit from a devourer, which on her thankfully was not fatal, but it would have killed many a character at that point. And I think that something like that is just a bit too much... just imagine being in a last azlanti run, reaching that point, forgetting the exact spawn location for those devourers, them gettint a nice iniciative roll, you're just trying to move away with your MC, attack of opportunity, run over...
And I suppose this area is also a perfect example, you get to this point, forget that the "invisible door" closes behind you and the mandragoras just walk over your party killing everyone instantly, I would say that would be quite rage inducing lol

Kineticists are great at dealing with swarms. Also, Jaethal I think has natural immunity to stat damage (not 100% on that one).

Ah, Jaethal is actually pretty interesting to bring up. I haven't tested it, but she is undead, so she should be immune to the stat drain!
As long as we can keep her alive through all the damage she will take, I think it would be a fair option

Is this dungeon more or less annoying than the Enigma?

Enigma being Nenio's final quest area? Sorry, it's been a while since I played WotR so I forget the names. If so, I would say both dungeons have their fair share of extremely irritating features. On a quick guess I would say enigma is a bit worse with all those nasty traps all over the place and having to carry the crystals for the puzzle. The final boss is also more annoying that Nyrissa I would say
