I really forgot what as drag HatEoT was. Too many anonymous rooms with the same encounters.

Yep, it drags on a bit too much especially with the reality/irreality mechanic. It also doesn't help what you mentioned, all rooms are pretty similar and you're fighting the same enemies over and over and over again. Bit unfortunate really for a game that manages to be so awesome for its vast majority to have an end game like this

I think the Briar only really has a use if you acquire it from Irovetti, which in turn requires that she does not get Vordaki's eye, cannot remember the name, think it was Eye of Abaddon.

I believe that if your relationship with Nyrissa is good and you have no other ongoing romances (I accidentally ended mine with Valerie lol) if you give her the Briar you can heal her soul. Not sure it matters too much at this point since we're not going for the True Secret Ending, but it's nice to be able to do it regardless.

@@CoredumpedGaming I think that is true, but I think you also need to have done the curse research, so you need to find it earlier. Its been years since I played, so not 100%.

You know, something is wrong with the design of certain enemies in a game if a mini-boss goes down in seconds while a standard monster - ie the mandragora swarm - takes elaborate steps and several minutes to kill. Meanwhile, I'm always laughing at "Bulette", which in German is the name for a kind of fried slightly flattened meatball. I have a very tasty personal recipe. It doesn't help that the monster even looks somewhat like that. Makes me imagine next time I'm making them they'll jump out of the pan and attack me :D

To be fair I would imagine pretty much most enemies at this stage in the game would go down to a grandmaster rod empowered hellfire ray unless they are somehow immune to it (like the mandragora swams). Though I do agree that the mandragora swarms are kind of stupid and I don't like them as an enemy. Espeacially if your party for some reason is not that well suited to dealing with them, it's just an absolute nighmare. The good part about the fight in the previous episode though is that I believe they are optional.
As for the bullette, interesting, I had no idea that was a thing, but then again I'm not that familar with german cuisine (would like to explore it a lot more!), looked them up, looks like a mix between a hamburger and a meatball :D my father used to make something extremely similar to this, he would make half those tiny fat hamburgers and the other half meatballs :D
