The Scope videos and reports are something i always loved about Eve Online. Then again the Dev's and GM's have always been pretty cool in Eve.

In other news. Immortal mercenaries have become restless after months of being confined to station living quarters. Some have even committed suicide in order to be transferred to a new clone. Though they are escorted directly back to their quarters, they consider it worth the hassle just to be out of those rooms, even for a short time. Station staff however greatly disagree and have made complaints to CONCORD regarding this prolonged confinement.
The Immortals, who once fought with and against each other in massive land grabs on planets across New Eden, were locked in these rooms roughly four months ago after CONCORD suspended all mercenary contracting and began writing reforms to update rights and regulations. It was a move widely approved, even by the mercenaries themselves. But tensions continue to rise due to lack of communication between CONCORD and the Immortal soldiers, who demand to know more details on these reforms. CONCORD however, maintains its silence.

If it takes that much to destroy a Keepstar, I think it's safe to assume that the ones in wormhole systems are safe.
oh please if the PL NC PH Darkness and the other big alliances find out about the hardknocks and other wormholers reinforced timer they will move in large fleets and destroy it. also it takes a 70 titans or so to destroy it, but it was hard cos every single player who had time and could be there went to whore on the kill mail #IWASTHERE
You realize how many people you would need to destroy one in a wormhole when you cannot bring super caps? The logistics of getting 2000+ people into a single wormhole system with ships powerful enough to destroy it makes it quite unlikely to happen considering how many wormholes that would take, sure it could be done but they would have to make a serious effort and really want to settle a score...
well, tbh all you need is like 40 dreads or 2 ahac fleets. the first takes preperation timeand work but is totally doable, the second takes pl+pets to have a reason for making your life miserable. the reason they dropped that much is to make sure it dies no matter what the defending forces would drop, and to prevent lag due to the number of players in that system. also, they had to stop it from repping in 10% tidi which takes a lot more dps than the actual damage cap without or with lower tidi
***** well, fair point, you can still kill it with ahacs tho, no need to drop caps really. but then again noone ever tried so yeah, we'll see when that happens i guess
I'm literally waiting for the day when average citizens of New Eden decide to rise up and revolt against Capsuleers. At the rate that these death tolls keep mounting it's a wonder where they get all these people from.

As awesome as these are, I can't help but wish that the explosion of glory packed a bit of a wallop. You would think that only something the size of a supercap would be capable of surviving a blast like that, but even frigates don't notice it, sadly.
Would've been fun if a keepstar exploded in a giant AoE, destroying all vessels within some thousand of kilometers :D

And second keepstar is down in the system of U-JJEW, destroyed mainly by Pandemic horde (yay beans) hurricane fleet and darkness sub-cap fleet and a few carriers plus some russian dreads

Construction workers in EVE??? Seriously? The need for contruction workers has decreased dramatically in the last centuries and scientists are already experimenting with technologies that can replace most construction workers. Why do they still need (human) construction workers 21000 years in the future?
Well, considering the size of the keepstar, put against the number of dead, the vast majority were probably specialists, handling jobs that allowed drone tech cant deal with alone. Beyond that, don't forget that the New Eden underwent a cataclysm that reduced the humans there to the pre industrial age, so thousands of years of tech to catch up on.
There will always be an element of human interactivity and supervision in anything. I think you are missing the scale of this thing, the population of a keep star about the same size of all ten of the worlds biggest cities put together. A few hundred thousand people building an engineering project of that size is nothing.
you do realise how big a keepstar is right? its little brother can hold manhattan on its back with space to spare.
