Fear of pancreatic cancer that my brother died from three years ago has crept into my thoughts now. Waking up with dull back pain is fuelling the thoughts! Thank you for this, it's really helped me. 🙂
One of the best ways to overcome health anxiety is to face the fears. Get testing done and talk to doctors. Once u are cleared, that’s the first step. Second step is to believe that your risk factors maybe low and that u are doing the best to stay healthy. Third step is to blatantly ignore all the thoughts. Replace them with mantras like “ I am healthy” etc. I suffered with health anxiety for yearsssssssss with over 20 fears on repetition. Those are some of the steps i took. Believe it or not, alot of people live with these fears daily. The key is to not let your life be dictated by these negative illusive thoughts cause that’s all they are, thoughts.
Does anyone else have their chest, abdomen and back always trapped with gas due to anxiety? Like, constant burping which causes Breathlessness. And that triggers anxiety even more🥲
Yeah the worst part of anxiety for me is rumination and the part that it makes me doubt a lot of thing so without it the recovery will be very easy so🤷🏻♀️
Does anybody out there find when you have anxiety it pushes up your blood pressure readings ? I guess it will do if your fight or flight is switched on all the time?
Yes some times that's make my BP low sometimes high that's why I always fear of BP and always check my symptoms is this low or high and my Dr told me this is happen because of anxiety 😢
I have been diagnosed with candida, mitochondrial dysfunction, high autoimmunity markers. I feel it also applies to this & chronic pain. The brain & nervous system can create a whole host of Symptoms & pains. It's all neuroplastic.
10000% !!!! I was diagnosed with all those things plus a long list of many other illnesses. I’m almost fully recovered, it’s alll what Shaan is talking about! He helped me break through finally! I did a 3,500 brain training course, and I was stuck, it was his videos that help me break through!
I have mitochondrial dysfunction and all sorts of neurological symptoms too which have pretty much crippled my life. Doctors don’t really do much here in India except for endless amount of pills to manage it. I have a feeling it’s all related to the nervous system being in a stressed and overactive mode for many many years. I hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel for all of us.
@Cloenclan5 This is the best thing I heard in a while. Gives me so much. I have been on this trauma healing journey for a while. No matter what you do - supplements, diet, trauma healing, somatic practices, nervous system regulation, brain retraining, it won't do much if you are trying to approach it from the place of fixing yourself. It's all neuroplastic. We need to just be okay with whatever is arising cause there is nothing wrong in the body. So exhausting to keep going to doctors , avoiding this food that food etc yet not see much results.

Same - during and after workouts the anxiety increases for me. It's definitely weird! For a long while I stopped exercising, but recently decided I'm gonna do what I wanna do, with or without the panic. I'm thinking that, for me, it'll eventually go away if I keep working out and just keep responding correctly.
Hello Shaan, I am from India. My symptoms have gone away but I am still a bit confused Whenever I go to study I think my brain is foggy, I will not remember how I will study, my panic, digestive issues will all be over, there is just a slight depersonalization, dereliazation

Your vids have helped me so much - but have a random question - I want to know how to tell myself 'its cool -calm down' when someone mentions I should give antidepressents a try (happens off and on). I tried some for a bit and they were WRECKING me and it felt off so bad - and yeah there could be others etc etc. But I WANT to be better - myself. I want to get back to me. Like you and your community have been great at helping me with - the issue is I get those anxious thoughts when people even mention pills because it makes me 2nd guess myself and makes me go .. aw crap do I really need to be on something? - anywho. just wondering how you/anyone here has dealt with the pills talks. And how to not make it bring on a spiral
You just got to understand that taking medication is like putting a bandage on it. We need to get to the root cause of the anxiety to really work on it. To be strong and tell yourself that there's people who have battled w anxiety w/o meds. Its a healing journey.. there will be good and bad days, but it's mental and the brain needs training... neuroplasticity.
@@Jane__714 thanks for this. just what i needed to hear! appreciate the reply - and yeah esp with outside factors - being a bit tough right now too - def a trial by fire moment. becoming a strong sword? haha - thru the fire and bending of metal (neuroplasticity)
