- The South Carolina Gamecocks captured the program's first national title in the final College World Series played at Rosenblatt Stadium. South Carolina won six straight games after losing its opener and swept UCLA in two games to win the 2010 title.

Was in a hotel out of town..working like a dog..ate and fought off going to sleep. Was jumping up and down when marifield hit that clincher.

I can remember praying "let this be a suitable closing for Rosenblatt" and thinking "ok who is going to close out Rosenblatt as National Champions" and finally, SC battles through it and, finally, bottom of the 11th, Merrifield pumps a line drive into right field that sealed the deal
Damn it feels good to be a Gamecock!
That would be interesting to win the last World Series in the old field and the first in the new.

me and my family all miss that rosenbaltt standium so much my son forced me to go there and get a photo taken at home plate and my dad he cam with us to rosenblatt standium so we could get a final pitchure at rosenbaltt before they tear it down we,er going to miss going there to watch baseball games there.
I miss the Blatt :'(
