Professor Hunter and Dr. Carr, I started listening to ICWDC the Fall of 2020 I believe. Making sure all my ends met I began working on Saturdays and would have to listen later in the week each week. Sometimes I’d fall two classes behind, but loved catching up on lunch breaks. Then you built Knarrative. I had just taken on caring for my dad and needed to watch every penny with that adjustment but promised myself that as soon as I had everything running smoothly and with cushion, I was becoming a Knubian. Yesterday I did just that. When I got approval and access, then saw all that beautiful information and community I welled up tears with a lump in my throat. What the two of you, what all of you have done is…I don’t know what words are enough. Just thank you infinitely. ❤ I’m a Knubian!!🥰

‘Pythagoras,’ known for a theorem, while the Kemetic priests who tutored him over a decade are anonymous, _perhaps because_ the African view of Knowledge elevates _community_ over the individual.

Actually, his teaching was quite direct. It should actually be the "Imhotepian Theorem." Imhotep originally developed the theorem and pythagorous learned it from his study.

Reminder: Nehesi or Nehesy in the Ancient African Mdw Ntr (Hieroglyphs) actually translates to southerner. Tanehisi Coates is a talented writer who needs to travel to the African continents variety of the 54 or so countries (especially up and down the Hapi (Nile) Valley and actually his first name breaks down to Ta meaning land and his father’s version of nehisi switching vowels means southerner which together translates to southern land. Paul Coates his father was a civil rights giant, write/publisher, our historical archivist and trailblazer himself. Those southerners in Kemet (Egypt) now known as Nubian but Nubian simply means gold but many have messed this up. Most don’t realize that the beginning of the Hapi (Nile) River isn’t Ethiopia, it’s much further up south in Uganda. I go by NeheC7 as an alias and I’ve used that personally chosen and trademarked version of the ancient African term for years. Excellent podcast.

Me too Prof Karen. We were taught to feel negative about Africa. As intellectual as surely they aren’t smart to allow colonialism and as unintelligent as they are “too black.” Shame on those of us who still in this year of our Lord 2024 perpetuate that unjust narrative!
    So good Dr. Carr!!!
P.S. I just had to say that listening to you two makes me nostalgic for the time when mutual respect and admiration made you smile. 🥰

Black Americans are being blame for actions of white supremacy it's not about so call crime or criminals they are the target for their guilt of their actions to the world as I look at my own life being labeled and look at in a matter as a threat I understand what our ancestors must felt people don't see you as a human bean from a department who has abuse black people in this country for 300 years I am a 54 year black man but they are talking about things happen in my life when I was a teenager and I don't have a right to talk about them an their actions when they have done the unbelievable

"White Hot." There have always been those of us who seek validation through "mainstream" venues. They know where they can get their bread buttered. At the same time, taking non-aligned perspectives to mainstream venues brings attention to issues that are ignored by the general public. I only have a problem if Coates ONLY goes to mainstream venues. The inertia of this system always intends to corrupt and obscure truth.
" Politics is the art of the possible." But until the art penetrates and permeates the CONSCIOUSNESS of people and they ACT on it, its just art. Power is what makes change. Organization and Mobilization come by ACTION not writers.
