    Beta fan here totally. I ride a 300 4T but had 5 betas but do agree they need to remember what bike made there new roads.
    It does need a bit more than different colour scheme. But like you said people are still buying them because for most of us there more than capable of giving what we need. But time is time.

    I made the same comment a couple weeks ago that I believe Stu said now that beta is in supercross/motorcross and enduro it’s like they have forgotten about trials because it doesn’t bring in the same amount of money, and it’s sad because trials made them

    Great episode and good to see more on the kids bikes. My lad (5) now rides a trs on-e 20 and they are awesome!! He’s not big enough for the oset 20r so was riding a 20 lite but although a great bike they feel very underpowered. I was actually just about to start putting the 20r power system into his 20 lite when we tried a friends on-e 20 and were sold!! The weight is similar to the 20lite (with lithium power) but the suspension is much better they just seem to find more grip everywhere. He loves it and his riding is coming on in leaps and bounds (and crashes😂)

    Beta is still pretty new to the US market. They had to invest in Supercross for the brand recognition. Seriously, I'd say half of the Supercross fanbase never heard of Beta until this year. IMHO Beta is in the same position KTM was in the mid-90s...about to explode in popularity. That will bring so many new riders to the trials side of the sport.

    I once had a Beta Evo factory 2014. At the time it was great the only thing I wish beta could do is to make a more flexible mudguard, they always snapped off in the cold

    The TRRS is a great kids bike, but be careful and regularly check the battery. Even though it's screwed in, there is a little bit of movement (maybe a millimetre or 2) where the battery rattles against the frame and over time rubs through the outer layer/insulation. I personally know of at least 3 bikes that had this issue within our local trials clubs, one of them even caught on fire. My son's TRRS after less than a year of riding started to have issues where the battery on a full charge would only last 20min of riding. When we took the battery out, it had rubbed multiple holes and the insides of the battery would touch the metal frame. The factory didn't do a full replacement, but sold a new battery at a heavily discounted price. If you have access to a company that builds or repairs lithium batteries, you can ask them to cover the battery with additional layer of insulation (ours was dipped in some kind of rubbery material) to minimise the risk of this happening. The bike is great, but the battery looks very low quality, especially when compared to high-end eMTB batteries, etc.

      Thanks for the comment. This is great news to hear that Bike is very well received however I do completely agree with you there in many of these little Bikes. The overall component is pretty poor.
      I suppose they’re trying to keep the cost down because if you look at them and compare them to the cost of an e-mountain bike, then there has got to be some sacrifices.

    Questions for you. Do Beta still add extra flywheel weight for UK bikes? I have ridden all the same bikes that you have. I am back on a Factory Beta now after Vertigo and GG. In the past both my son and I had 250s and 300s. I think the 250 Beta is the best 250 money CAN buy. I have been truly impressed with the suspension on my Factory, the brakes, and sorry there is NOT a bike made that grips better

    • @TrialTube
      @TrialTube  6 месяцев назад +1

      I was told that all the Betas that enter the UK are “super soft” by John Lampkin a few years ago. The 250 is lovely but in the 300 the Vertigo wins on the grip side of things hands down. It’s preference of course though! Thanks again for the support !

    Great show as always. I'm told that in 2020(?) Beta redesigned the rear mud guard (fender here in the states) reshaping the end of it and making it out of much "bendier" plastic that "hopefully" isn't as brittle as the old plastic. Have you been able to tell if there's a difference between the flexibility of the old and new fenders?

    Trs is a mega kids bike, far superior to the Oset in every way, just need them to make a 24 version 👌 Love my Beta but they need to get with the times and offer something on the factory bikes to make them special, different paint doesn’t cut it

    I dont ride Betas, good bikes but they dont suit me. As much as agree that the bike has changed little in recent years you have to look at the results too. Grattarola has been a revelation on the Beta and then look how good the Hemingway lads are doing. Its certainly still competitive

    • @TrialTube
      @TrialTube  6 месяцев назад +3

      The bikes that both of those riders are in our factory, built and Carry none of the characteristics of the standard bike. I have had the privilege to ride at a factory. Beta and I can tell you now the suspension, the power delivery and the overall b build quality is far from the consumer Bike

    So if this engine is so smooth and manageable, is there any point of the 200. Think about buying a new bike but more in the old age (me) white line rider category. And as a light weight (56kg) should I get the lightest bike I can.

    • @davidevorider2002

      Not a big red fan at all. GasGas used to offer a few colors, now all red. Beta has always been heavy on the red but when combined with blue looks decent. And now TRS the last couple years has really leaned into the red as well.

    There are huge flaws in the evo coming from an evo owner..1 the plastic front fender is garbage and is a major weak point. One light down of the bike can take you out of a trials comp..your front end is done .and second is the flywheel side too fat ! One crash focused on the flywheel corner and you WILL crack/damage your engine case. Mine was magnesium too (brittle metal!) the engine is too fat compared to the gasgas

    Trial isn't popular anymore, of course beta has to invest on somethimg else also because hard enduro is getting popular and beta engines are perfect for it

    • @TrialTube
      @TrialTube  4 месяца назад +3

      Trials is getting more popular again but the mindset of “it isn’t popular” doesn’t help!
      Most riders need some trials skills trust me. As a trials person watching amateur hard enduro is hard to watch. Basic trials ability would transform these riders abilities…
