Wow all I can say is WOW. That is the most Beautiful video yet. All I want to do is pack a few things throw it in the car and drive up there. I want to sit on a rock and take in the beauty of the Smokey Mountains and Pegion Forge. To me it's the most beautiful place on earth.. I miss it so much. I wish I had the money to get away for 1 or 2 nites but I don't. I just lost my last parent and iam the only child . I'am 65 years old but I feel. My daddy would have loved to go but he was 97. But I tell you he would have wanted to go hiking. I showed him your video and his face would lite up. I remenber the.day before he died in the hospital., he told me he wanted to get out of the hospital and get me and him and our dog and go up to the Smokey Mountains and sit there an take in the beauty. Maybe that's where he is right now..you think?

As much as I love the Smokys and Gatlinburg, i HATE driving over Newfound gap. Just scares me. 2 years ago there was a car on it's side against a rock face on the TN side. I've been going the long way around to avoid. We didn't see any bears in the park last month, but, we did see one in town by our hotel door. The office staff said his name is George and he's friendly, but, we didn't test him.
How far off the road is that area with the boulders and the river? Is it off of a pull off area? That's breathtaking.
Will was that where the fire came through were there are darken parts on the mountains? Will do bears eat mushrooms?
The fire started at chimney tops so those are the burn spots I don't know if bears eat mushrooms thanks Leslie

Cherokee NC is a ran down town only thing that's there is Mingo falls and a bunch of high priced visitor attraction stores. MINGO FALLS IS AWESOME AND THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY STARTS THERE OTHER THAN THAT TRASH

Elk must be able to read. They see 'E L k crossing’ sign
and they do. That mill is so beautifully crafted and so industriously made. It is a work of art. I never had visited. In younger days we would just go blazing
Iby heading for
Gatlinburg or the bottom of the Chimneys looking for chipmunks and bear jams. Mingus mill is definitely worth a stop.
When we visit Gatlinburg.(which is normally fairly often) we always go thru Cherokee and Maggie valley. I love it. We have stop at roadside markets, a couple stores, a special restaurant, and OTHER little roadside places.

I am driving down from Massachusetts via 81. At some point i want to jump brp and then make to smokies ending in Gatlinburg. any help? i have done the full brp from front royal via the skyline on my motorcycle to smokies but this time i am driving with family.

I absolutely love the drive up to Cherokee, I've never been able to get out at the stops so it's nice to view the footage you guys capture❤
We were above the clouds at Clingman's Dome this summer. On my middle daughter's first trip when she was seven, and she's 22 now, we stopped at Newfound Gap and I showed her the pictures of FDR dedicating the park. She was very excited going up on the overlook since she was able to stand where the president had once given a speech. We still have fun with that story.
Would love to see a video about using the trolley system in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg
