- Hundreds of people packed a Dearborn school to passionately discuss banning six books some say are inappropriate for school-age children.
They were 20 of them, we are the majority, so respect (democracy), and take this garbage out of our schools.

I love how this is being reported with bias...seeming to show more compassion on the ones pushing for these horrible books. I'm a trans woman...but I'm an adult. I can make choices as an adult. Children have no business having access to ANY sexual explicit material whether it be homosexual or heterosexual.

When I saw a list of the most frequently banned books, in school libraries; I read almost everyone of them. It introduced me to non-assigned reading. But that was the '80; they had ideas, none of them were sexual.

Are these schools doing so well in teaching arithmetic, geometry, grammar, English, American and world history, biology, chemistry, & physics that they can spend classroom time on these issues that represent only a minor percentage of the school age population?
