For some reason I completely believe those 2 families. I think someone was late or slacking at work that morning getting things blocked off before the lot filled up and to save their own ass decided to throw those people under the bus. When you get the same exact story from 2 sources who had no contact with each other after they initially parked...their stories seem super credible. I hope Anakeesta makes it right with them.
To me it sounded like they'd coned off the spaces but not 1x cone per space, hence the addition of tape after the fact. But from the NY family the pickup truck next to the cherry picker had a cone underneath it, so that could've been the first cone, a space or two then the next cone, couple of spaces another cone, etc. Typically if there's a whole bay with cones spaced out then it's ALL out of commission, not just the spaces with cones, but I guess it depends where you come from as to whether that's accepted cone behaviour or not, heh :)
I’ve literally had this exact thing happen. I pulled into a park where people were at. And a park ranger came up and asked if we were apart of the help? I looked confused and then he said we shouldn’t be there. He started chewing me out and threatening tickets and trespass. He said “you passed the sign that said closed!” He called the cops and by the time they got there they discovered that someone took the sign!!

That parking garage at the beginning reminded me of a trip where we rented a van to take a bunch of friends and their children to London. We cleared the hanging bar going in but we were almost touching the ceiling when everyone got out. When it was time to leave that evening so many people were staying the weekend we couldn't get out. We asked a group of people going to the pub if they would mind helping us get out and they all got in and we thanked them when we let them out. We all had a fun story to tell.
Use to work for company that managed parking garages. A local tow company had a tow truck like yours cept their light bar on the roof would fold backwards behind the back window to gain more clearance.
@@TrueMohax That seems reasonable. EA has brought this out in the daylight. I look at it this way there are cameras all over these places. 1. If the people parking disregard the cones and tape. We have cone and pallet jack moved from a parking spot. We was delivering a x ray system and had 4 spots so we had room to uncreate and put trash. They thought we was taking to much parking. We would end up with 20ft of in my trailer after delivery. It amazed me how many people would walk through our work area even though we have cones in placed and equipment on the ground. They would step it and walk right through. We had somebody walk through the Self leveling epoxy at a job
As someone who is daily in the area of the anakeesta parking lot Now i never seen all those spots coned off, but the 3 4 spots where those cars are in are always...always coned off
The cone/tape lot folks got screwed. Hope there's a follow-up to this one. And Anakeesta owes them a refund and an apology for how they were treated. They flat-out said they don't believe those people? Shame on Anakeesta.
Look at the parking reviews on the company that owns that parking lot. 1st thing I noticed is that Anakeesta makes it clear they are NOT associated with that parking company. It is seems to charge additional fees usually $50 tickets. I am more prone to believe the tourist on this one.
LOL, I don't believe them, either! I've seen waaaaaay to many people do wrong and then turn on the tears and injured dignity when they're caught to believe that they didn't do anything wrong just because they *say* they didn't. Don't know why y'all believe them with no evidence.
@@bluedragonfly8139 It's too coincidental. Three cars end up moving the tape and cones, putting it all back, and then get towed? Why would they move the tape and them put it back? Just makes them look guilty, when they could have just tossed the tape and the spots would have looked legit.
Maybe with personal video footage from the driver to document the condition of parking slot when pulling in might be the only dispute recourse of when the area was coned off to possibly refund the towing fee...

Hey jeff it looks like your light bar might be capable of folding down if your having clearance issues hard to tell from the video but kinda looks like ur light bar has a hinge on it
In Lansing Michigan there is the legendary Pennsylvania Ave bridge. It has its own calendar of stuck trucks. The city even says it’s 4 inches lower than it really is. Has chains, lights, break away bars, the works… And yet we cheer when the bridge has eaten another truck. So far this year we’re at 12 with 3 being in one week.
I've actually had them place cones and caution flagging around my truck while in a store, when I came out I questioned them while pretending it wasn't mine, they said "oh we looked for the owner for 30 min.", yet I never heard from them, imagine thier suprise when I unlocked it and got in and drove right thru the flagging

Some managers! 🙄 Yes, they were often towed.😮
Anakeesta didn't have that tape up when they both parked there. 2 disinterested parties with identical stories does not support the business' story. However, cameras at the business will not be available.
It looked like the construction guys were using those spots partly for their own vehicles, like the gray Chevy truck that was also inside the tape. I bet one of the construction guys moved the cones and tape to get their own vehicle out and forgot to put the tape back. Notice how they had a guy waiting to put the tape and cones back as soon as Jeff got the vehicle out. He's probably the guy that screwed up. Anakeesta should probably bite the bullet on this one and reimburse those folks because it sounds like both illegal parks were telling the same story.
Here's the way I think it went down: Anakeesta employees put up cones and tape, either the night before, or first thing in the morning. When cars start arriving, some random guest decided to move several cones and the tape, and pulled in. In doing so, the cones and tape that were moved "freed-up" some spaces... or made it appear they were freed-up. A short bit later, other cars arrive, see the freed-up spaces, and park there. Later in the day, Anakeesta employees see the moved cones and tape, and move them back to where they should've been, thus closing the freed-up spaces, and "trapping" the cars that are now behind the cones and tape.
@@mikemcdonaldart Anakeesta makes it very clear. This belongs to Parkway Parking. Not them. This is not Anakeesta's dumpster fire. Parkway Parking doesn't sound like this would be out of character for them.

Do you ever get to have time off.?..I hope so.Your job is tough and I'm thinking very stressful. The very reason why I didnt rent large apartment complexs. There is always drama one form or another. You are so patient .God finds the right people for the right job. I'm amazed how you never loose your cool.🙂You are awesome..God Bless.
Thank you for another great video! PS nice pool area Jeff.
LOVE the pool project! Something like that makes all the labor so worth it. I would be out there every chance I go to enjoy it as soon as possible. Y’all deserve something nice like this. I’m happy for your family. 😊
Jeff if you had to break it do not into percentages…..what would it be?
1. Crashed/wrecked vehicles
2. Broken down/stalled
3. Illegal parked tows
Sounds like Anakesta may have some folks doing some under the table stuff. That Mustang was interesting, glad he wasn't hurt. Good looking relaxing pool.
Oh my goodness! If they want you to tow vehicles they need to make sure you can get in the parking garage 😮
We found a free parking spot in Gatlinburg! Just park in that garage and you won't be towed 🤣
@@benroberts2222the car wouldn't start, that's the reason for the tow.
@@Tel864 yeah I know it was just a joke. I don't even know if it's possible to get into that garage without a pass or something
Anakista seems to have screwed over 2 innocent parkers. First time I've believed the stories you hear. Awkward place for you!
I feel as if an employee was supposed to block it off for maintenance and forgot so they put it around to save there butt and screwed two people over
@@FireRescueTNsame thoughts I had
@@sagspirit1 Agree....
It was probably all coned off but the first person moved them and parked then others parked in the other bays they had moved the cones from.
@@carlbarkham3115 the company video will tell the story...
Ive known many tow companies in my time I used to repo cars, you are one of the most reputable. Love your videos.
"I gotta come there and pick it up?"
*No, it's just going to magically appear."* 🤣
They think its expensive to pick up imagine if they had to pay double to deliver it back to em
Geez, that reminds me of a parking deck at OHSU in Portland that I went through in my F-250. Maybe an inch of clearance.
I worked by a damaged tree, a huge branch was just hanging there after a storm. Had people yell at me when I said they could not park there. Okay fine park there, I was being paid minimum wage.
With as many spots that anakeesta had blocked off I would be hesitant to park in those spots. I understand where the confusion lies it just sucks because you guys have to answer the questions that you have limited answers for. Glad the mustang owner was okay.
Wishing we had your weather..its in the 90's and we're headed for triple digits this week..
Another Magical video 😁

Mobile locksmiths are cheaper than a tow plus service costs a lot of times, but I still get complaints on prices.
As a mechanic you’d be surprised when I tell customers I have to call someone like you because they think there’s a secret “Master Key.” Lmao
@@BFT88 you need the secret handshake to get the masterkey.
That is a special set of skills and patinces. What would drive me crazy is the person calls every locksmith in town. Whoever gets there first gets the money. The customer never calls the other locksmiths to let them know they don't need to come.
The other thing I learned alway have one chipped key in the safe that never gets used.
If there are 2 keys most folks can figure it out.
1 key is pricey. No keys is a trip to the stealership.
@martqbd I'm the only locksmith and I'm a mobile for about an hour or so around and I've got NASTF credentials amd lishi so no keys, no problem (mostly).
@@JenkinsLocks That is a valuable set of skills. I had a friend that could do the programming in his mobile unit. The one thing I remember is how time consuming it is. Much respect for those skills.
You guys are amazing! It's not about what you do, it's about how you handle it. You are definitely a CLASS ACT! God bless you and your family
Another awesome mustang driver!
You guys are the best at what you do. Since we don't know what really happened I don't want to take sides on this one.
Not a good look for Anakeesta, both parties sounded legit. I saw the city employee turn around in the last video, told my wife he's making sure 'The Legend' is safe. Great video, Y'all ROCK!
LOL, they sounded like they were telling stories, to me, but k.
At 32:27 guy says when they came back somebody moved the cones for someone in the chamber of commerce and let them park there. Maybe that’s what happened here too. They let someone else park there who then left left and the employee didn’t get there in time to move the comes back before they pulled in. Seems very plausible in this situation. Employee let local politician, friends or family park there, but when they saw the out of state plates had them towed.

The guy with the Nissan went into the creek. And a couple months later he crashed his Mustang. You guys need to set up a "frequent flyer" card system for these people.
Right, sounds like he was speeding again.
Oh, please! The Mustang driver is just a bad driver 😂
Thought he was leaving a Cars & Coffee, and drove appropriately for a Mustang driver.
As someone who is daily in the area of the anakeesta parking lot
Now i never seen all those spots coned off, but the 3 4 spots where those cars are in are always...always coned off
The cone/tape lot folks got screwed.
9:45 could you possibly use a smaller pickup with a Uhaul car dollie and use your spare dollies as well?
Mustang doing Mustang things 😂
Pretty sure I've seen your comments over on Law Talk with Mike😊
@@pushindaisies5327 I can neither confirm nor deny my LTWM connection 😉
Maybe with personal video footage from the driver to document the condition of parking slot when pulling in might be the only dispute recourse of when the area was coned off to possibly refund the towing fee...
Must have been a crowd in that parking lot. Considering mustangs are attracted to crowds LOL
or it saw a Ford Dealership and made a sharp left 🤷🏼♀️
you know what they say about cowboys and mustangs 😉
That first one, he needs a new battery in his fob. My car was starting to do that and I YT'd it and that was the issue. Wouldn't start and the lights were going crazy. Have to hold the fob to the start button for a Mazada CX5. Then get new battery as I said. I was like, wth is going on. LOL. Not the car, the FOB was the issue. Not sure about a Honda but sounds the same.
This guy sent his wife to use her to cry and carry on thinking they would just give her the car.
8:00 That is so sweet that the elderly gentleman is helping his wife out of the car. If you Google "old man car door" the first image should be of my parents in a tan car in a handicapped space. Someone took that photo and posted it after Pop passed away. He is touching hearts beyond the grave. ❤️🌹❤️
Man. I'm 6'6 I'd have problems walking in that garage
Your truck is a growing boy. He's too big for the 2nd floor, now.
Wow, your new swimming pool is amazing! Looks like it will be nice and relaxing!
Thanks for the Warning on the flashing lights mate. Saved me a seizure or a puke. Cheers .
Hey jeff it looks like your light bar might be capable of folding down if your having clearance issues hard to tell from the video but kinda looks like ur light bar has a hinge on it
Trucker rule of thumb: just because the sign SAYS a certain height, doesn't mean it's accurate

@@Sound_Spark Two more yesterday. One while the other wreck was being hauled away. LPD wasn't impressed.

Not really cause the property owners could set that up in their favor. Video is the only thing that would work.
She was really hoping those tears would work 😆😆😆😆😆
It seems like i wouldnt go to Anakeesta, unfortunately. I feel bad for some but not for all. Always love the channel. Dont hate on the middle guy/gal.
That was a questionable situation at Anakeesta. Y’all wisely addressed that carefully.
Jeff, Anakeesta is 41 minutes walking time for 1.9 miles according to Google
I've actually had them place cones and caution flagging around my truck while in a store, when I came out I questioned them while pretending it wasn't mine, they said "oh we looked for the owner for 30 min.", yet I never heard from them, imagine thier suprise when I unlocked it and got in and drove right thru the flagging
You sound like one of those people who get paged multiple times in the store and ignore it until they tell you your car's being towed.
@@bluedragonfly8139 actually I'm not, it only happened one time, and I believe the construction guys were just trying to be funny cause I had out of state tags.
Ive enjoyed watching shed repos.....he uses a "Mule" to move sheds....i just wondered in those tight conditions if with a mule and your wheels.....just saying.....it would be a neat new toy for ya!😂
ALSO: I worked security for a company for several yrs and they would often have us put up cones and caution tape around vehicles already there. Some managers! 🙄 Yes, they were often towed.😮
Sounds like Anikista double crossed these people. That's sad.
Anakeesta didn't have that tape up when they both parked there. 2 disinterested parties with identical stories does not support the business' story. However, cameras at the business will not be available.
If you cry, you get a discount? I don't think so!
Love that your mother helps you with the tow jobs
It looked like the construction guys were using those spots partly for their own vehicles, like the gray Chevy truck that was also inside the tape. I bet one of the construction guys moved the cones and tape to get their own vehicle out and forgot to put the tape back. Notice how they had a guy waiting to put the tape and cones back as soon as Jeff got the vehicle out. He's probably the guy that screwed up. Anakeesta should probably bite the bullet on this one and reimburse those folks because it sounds like both illegal parks were telling the same story.
Here's the way I think it went down:
Anakeesta employees put up cones and tape, either the night before, or first thing in the morning.
Who moves cones & tape? THOSE PEOPLE!!!
You mean Anakeesta, right? Because it looks like they were the ones who did it after the cars parked.
@@mikemcdonaldart Anakeesta makes it very clear. This belongs to Parkway Parking. Not them. This is not Anakeesta's dumpster fire. Parkway Parking doesn't sound like this would be out of character for them.
Halfway through 1964 I got a call from a friend that owned a Ford dealership. He invited me to come and drive the brand new Ford Mustang. It was very prone to oversteer. Very. They still seem to be.
