We Put BRAND NEW Carpet In The 1996 Geo Tracker *And Finished The Audio*

- The interior in the $1,500 Geo Tracker is BRAND NEW! Almost everything that could wear over the last 23 years has been replaced and now we are down to finishing touches. All that's left is paint, wheels, and tires. We stripped the car all the way down to the interior sheet metal, removed the factory sound deadening, then installed B-Quiet Ultimate on every inch of the body we could get into. Working with Alpine's new ILX-W650 and the 4ch Power Pack amplifier that mounts to the back of it was great was well. Everything is compact and wired to the nines!

The tracker videos are where its at....Just keep dropping money into it, I want this $400 tracker to turn into a $50,000 tracker..
@SouthsideKidd500 uh, where does he park it????????????
@SouthsideKidd500 too bad it's a 2 wheel drive.
R8 powered Tracker.
@Randy Jackson True, but you gotta admit it's kind of awesome in its own way. Nothing like traveling down the express way and the wind taking control of your car.
I love watching this guy he does a great job on covering the details and not making it boring
Shout out to Gabe. That's a good friend. Always grinding with you.
Love the Tracker.
Hoovie soon: I bought the most expensive Geo Tracker in the country.
😂😂
i know I am quite off topic but do anyone know a good place to watch new tv shows online?
@Vihaan Maximilian Lately I have been using Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
Yes! More tracker videos please. This thing is awesome.
I had a suzuki sidekick that looked just like that but it was like sea green/blue with a baby blue soft top an factory blue yellow grafix on the side of car. It was AWESOME!!! Never got stuck even tho it was stock with crappy tires most of the time.... Sometimes diff sizes on front and rear, ps.... You have to MAKE Sure you are spinning the tires non stop if u need 4 wheel drive. It went EVERYWHERE!! JUMPED it an everything! After 5+ years of beating it from age 14 till around 19 years old.....i blew the top end and junked it for $600 cuz they knew it was a easy fix. Only had like 32k miles when I got it an in perfect shape... Wasn't bad when junked... No rust. Wish I would have kept it as I can never find another. Kinda sucked cuz drive train parts from the tracker almost NEVER was the same.... But it had a 1.8 H.O. JDM motor and was pretty fast for a 3 speed auto. Wish it was a stick but auto is wayyy better off road in my opinion.
After installing carpets in a few of my cars, the biggest trick I have learnt is to create any holes for bolts with an old soldering iron. You can either get under the car a poke it through or do it from within in the car. Creates a perfect hole without and seals the edges so that you don't get loose threads. Amberghini is gonna have the nicest Tracker around!
Adam Leask: Great tip! Thanks!!😉👍🏼
Wife had a ‘95 2WD 5 speed that was a riot. Ok, the 8 valve engine was no power house, but I was able to side-step the clutch and hold the brake while giving it gas and basically ‘brake-torque’ it to smoke the tires. No, not fast...but fun. And the sight of a Tracker smoking its back tires will draw a few stares! Hell, we’d love to own another one. If Amber tires of it, let me know.
flightpath22 😉🍻
This has to be one of the nicest "restored" geo trackers on the planet by now. Haha love the videos JR!!
There is Puerto Rican car club in Florida that has the biggest collection of restored and pimped out Geo trackers, Suzuki Sidekicks and Samuri's. ruclips.net/video/DuUpJJHpR60/видео.html
im partial to the LS swapped one thats been all over the internet
I know that Geo Trackers aren't worth much for others. But, the amount of work and effort that you put into it because it made her happy and was a dream car for her, now that I really love, and the reason I watched all the videos. Great job!
When you guys are done this is going to be the Nicest Geo Tracker In the Country
Cadillac man my neighbor has a green one
Hard to top this tho... ruclips.net/video/pxDJ40Psp0Y/видео.html
There is a Geo Tracker, Suzuki sidekick and Samuri club in Orlando, FL that I saw in the Puerto Rican parade when I was there visiting. They have the most nicest collection of these vehicles you will see anywhere in the country that I know off outside of Puerto Rico. ruclips.net/video/qsbpg5-xcVE/видео.html
Who else thinks this suv would look more like an suv with 4 doors. Personally I don’t like the look of 2 doors or sun roofs. Complain to me for that it doesn’t bother me but just my opinion. Great video JR.GO. Can I get a heart.... no ok thanks anyway. Have a good day everybody!
Kason Tennerson: 😉🍻
And that smile on your face when you finally turn on the music - priceless! 😂😂
You are the content king right now! Thanks for the daily videos 🙏🏼👊🏼👍🏼
Looking and sounding goooooood, when the paint and wheels are done, it will be one super nice summer cruiser.
This will sell for $3mil at Barrett-Jackson some day
Big facts 💸
SouthsideKidd500 you’re thinking of Chevy trackers or something, because geo trackers weren’t offered in 4 door
@SouthsideKidd500 You are wrong, but sorta right. Suzuki built the Tracker for Chevy (during the Geo production and after Geo was retired), though the early production lines for the Tracker were better than the Samurai (wider, better suspension and stronger engine). It wasn't until the very late 90's to end of run for the Tracker that they essentially became the exact same car (similar to the Mitsubishi 3000GT and the Dodge Stealth). When Chevy discontinued the Tracker Suzuki still made the Samurai. However the Tracker didn't end until 2004. I had a '03 Tracker that I had a love hate relationship with. Was fun to drive handling wise, but only had the 4 cylinder which had an abysmal automatic transmission that supposedly had a towing package. What this meant was you could only do 65 MPH on the freeway if it was a level grade with no head wind. Even a small 5 degree incline would force it into passing gear and drop it to 60 mph. Forget doing 75, just don't even think about it. But other than it was fun to zip around town and handled bad roads with ease.
Amber's Tracker is coming along nicely. Safe to say when said and done it'll probably be the nicest in the state.
I have to say; you have some awesome neighbors (people). Always good to have a good crew. Props
awhhhhhh, Annie the red headed step child is getting so much Love =) , good job boys and girls for keeping the tracker alive..
If the carpet you are replacing uses snap fittings to hold it in it's probably a good idea to re-use them with the new carpet, even if it doesn't have the holes for them as they really do help with the fit, which is why they are used in the factory...
I had a red 96 tracker in 98-2000. Put in a very similar sound system, got a nice hard top and upgraded wheels/tires. Mine was 4x4. Loved that car in the Michigan winters and summers.
*They make a carpet with a thick plastic backing that you could have put in all in one piece and used a hair dryer to heat and shape the carpet to the floor and bends in the floor and body pannels. Of course the Bass doesn't come through online but the rest of it sounded pretty good*
when you're all done, you should take it to carmax for an appraisal. I'm curious.
WatchJRGo
you have such great friends dude.
So glad you got that audio system 👍 now onto the paint!
Please keep us updated and do a recap on the finished tracker, great channel.
At 8:34 Gabe decides to make an entrance. Walks up all calm and collected and admires the view from the back of the Tracker.
Virtual Vapes:🍻😎👍🏼
I used to have a 95 Suzuki Sidekick, and mine had the removable canopy for the top and the rear. It was so much nicer than the soft tops.
I love these type of restorations
That's gotta be the best Tracker I've ever seen.
I love my 95 tracker. This is inspiring me to put some work into it. They truly do look and feel so amazing w a lil elbow grease in em.
Nice system. Your going to need a security system to go with that audio to easy for theft with that soft top! Enjoy your videos !
I love the $200 carpet in a $400 car!
The budget compared to the purchase price was blown the first or second video he laid a wrench on it L.O.L . The truth was it wasn't ever going to be a budget fixer upper, if any girl friend is involved in any part of a reason for JR or any of us doing this for less aggravation in our lives L.O.L .
Getting this old tracker back to 'better than factory' specs...
that's LE
GIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now the Tracker has that new car smell !
Your channel needs to blow up! Your busting your A$$. Shout out to Gabe. He is your roll dog! Also, keep the old carpet as a template. It will save you a lot of time.
J T:😉🍻
I like the way you do things like soldering connections. Once and done! Keep up the good work......
I love the 8*up shirt! That's brilliant
Stymie Snerdly: Sharp eye! 😉🍻
You should bolt that subwoofer down. Make it harder to steal and keep it from flying if something bad happens.
And put a snorkel on it.
and put a spare on the back because it's really annoying me
@@Karmy. and repair the dented tailgate too
@@Davids_Hobbies And use Meguiar's Black Plastic restore on those interior plastic parts
I worked in a GM dealer remember when they were new.Actually they were building them at the Cami plant in Ingersoll Ontario. NOW CAMI builds the Equalnox.
Lookin good! As for the paint? It'll buff out!
I can watch tracker vids all day their so cool
Nice job, looks great!
Great finish - can’t wait to see it painted and wheels done. Stereo sounds great, Shazam’d the tune 😉
Love watching you guys work on this thing.
This is my favorite build
The new carpet is SOOOOO nice!
Can’t wait for the next video!!
Looks awesome, and I'm happy you're rejuvenating a Geo from a bygone era! I was expecting a little bit more bass, however you may have had it turned down for testing.
It doesn't help that the woofer is facing the wrong way, firing forward into a seat back.
@@OleAbe What I'm used to hearing in Detroit just wasn't here...
I have been watching this for a while, and cannot wait to see it finished. Almost wish you would get it Line-X'ed instead of painting it - make that the most bulletproof Tracker in history. :)
My old neighbor had a geo tracker slammed to the ground w/OG 20" dodge truck rims 30series wrapped.lol
Speaking of that Remember When Dodge 1st put 20's on new trucks and soo many trucks were left on bricks in dealership lots All over the country, BRAND NEW!! That shit was nutty.
Yep I have a 03 and 05 with the oem 20s still haha
Well done that was my dream car when I turned 16 in LA👍👍‼️‼️
The Tracker is so cool. Loving it
WAIT!!!! so did you fix the shifter then or what???? i need to know!
This Tracker was all but destined for the junkyard. Now look at. Remarkable work, JR and crew!
What was the song you played to test out the sub?
Hopefully it's a survivor now! The song Far Out - Worlds Apart 🍻
Worlds apart , far out
@@WatchJRGo next install a theft deterrent system and take the radio out on sliders????????????????
One fine looking Alpine head unit.
Keep up the great work thanks for the content and I say this all the time but you guys are awesome
Hayden Croft: Cheers!😉🍻
I love the tracker build so far as far as the paint just fix the hood and your done. Big money maker after that.
@00:50 you sir are incorrect. Only Pioneer, Alpine and Clarion require the parking brake wire to be pulsed in order for video to function, and with new radios with Apple CarPlay for that to be active whilst you drive. JVC-Kenwood do not require a by-pass. Simply ground the parking brake wire. Even more simple on a HU that requires pulsed input, add a switch that’s ran to ground and replicate the parking brake using that.
go for Cragar soft Eights. They come in gun metal powdercoated and are a very reasonable priced steel wheel. I have them on my tracker and they look great
AC for the win
Hey lil tip jr is if its hot out stick the carpeting outside for a lil bit to warm up nd flatten the carpet out
Never thought Id utter the words "Id really like to have that GEO Trakker" lol
Great job in the tracker, looks good. Gabe missed almost all the fun.
Erik Stenberg: almost!
You should restore a give-away car for your subscribers. I wouldn’t care what it is as long as it had some “WatchJRGo” logos/decals on it.
Jay White: This idea has merit! 😉🍻
I love the tracker series :-D
Beware of the cheap Amazon window cranks. Just put them in mine, and they were a SUPER tight fit, so much so they didn't flush fit and didn't even need the clip. If you get them in better, I'd love to hear/see if there was any trick or if yours are better than mine were...
With the cliffhanger!!!! Brutal!
Nice work! This is gonna be a total 90’s time warp when you’re done!(-:
When I heard the audio can’t resist just to hit like 😂👍
The head unit cycle is just a relay. Radio remote wire to 85 on relay, Relay 86 & 30 to ground, Relay 87 to park brake wire on radio should solve the issue without having to buy the *Special Bypass - $$*
Yeah but the bypass is so cheap... you know it's like a 555 timer with a transistor and a diode. Super simple circuit 🍻
@@WatchJRGo ten4
"Gone too far"? It hasn't gone too far until there's a 4" lift, brush guard, Hella light bar, and power winch with front and rear mounting points.
And paint.
Do it.
XD
mb houtex He’s gotta do the lift and larger tires.
I I just did a 2” on mine and it made a big difference.
Alas, mine has went to the graveyard in 2014. It was a ‘95.
You know you're going to have to keep this thing until you reach 100 years old.
Best subwoofer test song is 'bin laden weed' it drops down from high bass to very low progressively
we need an Amber calendar with all these cars that you buy...
11:06 So SATISFYING!
Edward Cheong:Agreed! 😉🍻
you can still ground out head unit insted of brake, head units still allow you to ground them out.
The tracker has character and still looks cool. Its a Suzuki , so it has to be very reliable and durable.
Love the Geo videos!

kevin auman: Thanks😉🍻
@@Gabe-ABNCW3 sure thing brother
That thing has come a long way
Looking/sounding good amigo!
Had a tracker once great offroad truck
Uh, what kind of music was that? That was so close to being "elevator" music I nearly expected the Tracker to announce what floor it was on. That's the only critique I have: the restomodding of this car has really worked out :) Wheels, tires, & paint - and Amberghini will have a nice cruiser. Nice!
Dremel tool- 10, 000 rpms of problem solving
Never run signal wire next to power wire (ideally run them on opposite sides of the car)....unless you like electrical noise.
iV'E BEEN WORKING ON MY 95' FOR A YEAR NOW AND STILL HAVE MY FACTORY SYSTEM WITH 4 SPEAKERS( DIFFERENT PLACEMENT ENTIRELY) AND COULD HAVE STOOD NOT SEEING THIS BECAUSE YOU JUST COST ME $2000 I THINK LOL BUT I'M DEFINETLY GETTING SOME "B"QUIET BEFORE MY NEW CARPET KIT ARRIVES!
Locks on a soft top geo tracker are kind of just a suggestion lol like locking a chain link fence
Chad Thundercock will enjoy four wheeling in it.
Lmao so true. This guy is such a simp. Blue pilled hard. I said he should tell her he is losing his house and all his cars and he is broke and see if she is still around
sounds nice
It is taking shape. Also how is doing the Opel? Would like to watch how he puts it back together since I have a 1970 Opel gt. Thanks Like your videos
jmjohnson54: We are excited to get filming on it as well! Have a few more details to iron out before we begin. Stay tuned!!😉🍻
0:55 Kenwood and JVC still are ground parking brake wire for bypass. FYI
Do you plan to give the hood some help? You have put some much into the rest of this build. Keep up the great content!
watchjrGo....i just bought a switch for 4.78$ at walmart to bypass the parking brake. only thing i couldnt do was watch dvds. i have to turn the switch on then off then on once more. i enjoy it tho i took a dremel and cut perfectly into the factory usb/aux import which poped out and was the size of a jumbo eraser and i put the switch in thru the back and poped it in. looks factory now. enjoy the videos mr jay are.
If you wouldn't mind when you are completely finished could you share with us the total cost?
ROMEYYOUROCK: We I tend to. 😉🍻
@@Gabe-ABNCW3 thanks. It's been fun to watch.
Leave the new carpet spread out in the sun for a little while and it will become very flexible and easier to install.
Lint roller= Military/Prior Military... Tracker looks great!
I was wanting to see how clean that you were going to be able to get the factory carpet. In my old BMW, things cleaned out pretty good, but, hey, this is a Suzuki, so, not sure how it held up
