@Randy Jackson True, but you gotta admit it's kind of awesome in its own way. Nothing like traveling down the express way and the wind taking control of your car.
I know that Geo Trackers aren't worth much for others. But, the amount of work and effort that you put into it because it made her happy and was a dream car for her, now that I really love, and the reason I watched all the videos. Great job!
@SouthsideKidd500 You are wrong, but sorta right. Suzuki built the Tracker for Chevy (during the Geo production and after Geo was retired), though the early production lines for the Tracker were better than the Samurai (wider, better suspension and stronger engine). It wasn't until the very late 90's to end of run for the Tracker that they essentially became the exact same car (similar to the Mitsubishi 3000GT and the Dodge Stealth). When Chevy discontinued the Tracker Suzuki still made the Samurai. However the Tracker didn't end until 2004. I had a '03 Tracker that I had a love hate relationship with. Was fun to drive handling wise, but only had the 4 cylinder which had an abysmal automatic transmission that supposedly had a towing package. What this meant was you could only do 65 MPH on the freeway if it was a level grade with no head wind. Even a small 5 degree incline would force it into passing gear and drop it to 60 mph. Forget doing 75, just don't even think about it. But other than it was fun to zip around town and handled bad roads with ease.
I had a suzuki sidekick that looked just like that but it was like sea green/blue with a baby blue soft top an factory blue yellow grafix on the side of car. It was AWESOME!!! Never got stuck even tho it was stock with crappy tires most of the time.... Sometimes diff sizes on front and rear, ps.... You have to MAKE Sure you are spinning the tires non stop if u need 4 wheel drive. It went EVERYWHERE!! JUMPED it an everything! After 5+ years of beating it from age 14 till around 19 years old.....i blew the top end and junked it for $600 cuz they knew it was a easy fix. Only had like 32k miles when I got it an in perfect shape... Wasn't bad when junked... No rust. Wish I would have kept it as I can never find another. Kinda sucked cuz drive train parts from the tracker almost NEVER was the same.... But it had a 1.8 H.O. JDM motor and was pretty fast for a 3 speed auto. Wish it was a stick but auto is wayyy better off road in my opinion.
There is Puerto Rican car club in Florida that has the biggest collection of restored and pimped out Geo trackers, Suzuki Sidekicks and Samuri's. ruclips.net/video/DuUpJJHpR60/видео.html
Wife had a ‘95 2WD 5 speed that was a riot. Ok, the 8 valve engine was no power house, but I was able to side-step the clutch and hold the brake while giving it gas and basically ‘brake-torque’ it to smoke the tires. No, not fast...but fun. And the sight of a Tracker smoking its back tires will draw a few stares! Hell, we’d love to own another one. If Amber tires of it, let me know.
After installing carpets in a few of my cars, the biggest trick I have learnt is to create any holes for bolts with an old soldering iron. You can either get under the car a poke it through or do it from within in the car. Creates a perfect hole without and seals the edges so that you don't get loose threads. Amberghini is gonna have the nicest Tracker around!
There is a Geo Tracker, Suzuki sidekick and Samuri club in Orlando, FL that I saw in the Puerto Rican parade when I was there visiting. They have the most nicest collection of these vehicles you will see anywhere in the country that I know off outside of Puerto Rico. ruclips.net/video/qsbpg5-xcVE/видео.html
I had a red 96 tracker in 98-2000. Put in a very similar sound system, got a nice hard top and upgraded wheels/tires. Mine was 4x4. Loved that car in the Michigan winters and summers.
Who else thinks this suv would look more like an suv with 4 doors. Personally I don’t like the look of 2 doors or sun roofs. Complain to me for that it doesn’t bother me but just my opinion. Great video JR.GO. Can I get a heart.... no ok thanks anyway. Have a good day everybody!
If the carpet you are replacing uses snap fittings to hold it in it's probably a good idea to re-use them with the new carpet, even if it doesn't have the holes for them as they really do help with the fit, which is why they are used in the factory...
*They make a carpet with a thick plastic backing that you could have put in all in one piece and used a hair dryer to heat and shape the carpet to the floor and bends in the floor and body pannels. Of course the Bass doesn't come through online but the rest of it sounded pretty good*
The budget compared to the purchase price was blown the first or second video he laid a wrench on it L.O.L . The truth was it wasn't ever going to be a budget fixer upper, if any girl friend is involved in any part of a reason for JR or any of us doing this for less aggravation in our lives L.O.L .

I have been watching this for a while, and cannot wait to see it finished. Almost wish you would get it Line-X'ed instead of painting it - make that the most bulletproof Tracker in history. :)
Looks awesome, and I'm happy you're rejuvenating a Geo from a bygone era! I was expecting a little bit more bass, however you may have had it turned down for testing.
I worked in a GM dealer remember when they were new.Actually they were building them at the Cami plant in Ingersoll Ontario. NOW CAMI builds the Equalnox.
My old neighbor had a geo tracker slammed to the ground w/OG 20" dodge truck rims 30series wrapped.lol Speaking of that Remember When Dodge 1st put 20's on new trucks and soo many trucks were left on bricks in dealership lots All over the country, BRAND NEW!! That shit was nutty.
The head unit cycle is just a relay. Radio remote wire to 85 on relay, Relay 86 & 30 to ground, Relay 87 to park brake wire on radio should solve the issue without having to buy the *Special Bypass - $$*
Beware of the cheap Amazon window cranks. Just put them in mine, and they were a SUPER tight fit, so much so they didn't flush fit and didn't even need the clip. If you get them in better, I'd love to hear/see if there was any trick or if yours are better than mine were...
@00:50 you sir are incorrect. Only Pioneer, Alpine and Clarion require the parking brake wire to be pulsed in order for video to function, and with new radios with Apple CarPlay for that to be active whilst you drive. JVC-Kenwood do not require a by-pass. Simply ground the parking brake wire. Even more simple on a HU that requires pulsed input, add a switch that’s ran to ground and replicate the parking brake using that.
Lmao so true. This guy is such a simp. Blue pilled hard. I said he should tell her he is losing his house and all his cars and he is broke and see if she is still around
go for Cragar soft Eights. They come in gun metal powdercoated and are a very reasonable priced steel wheel. I have them on my tracker and they look great
"Gone too far"? It hasn't gone too far until there's a 4" lift, brush guard, Hella light bar, and power winch with front and rear mounting points. And paint. Do it. XD
mb houtex He’s gotta do the lift and larger tires. I I just did a 2” on mine and it made a big difference. Alas, mine has went to the graveyard in 2014. It was a ‘95.
I love watching this guy he does a great job on covering the details and not making it boring
The tracker videos are where its at....Just keep dropping money into it, I want this $400 tracker to turn into a $50,000 tracker..
@SouthsideKidd500 uh, where does he park it????????????
@SouthsideKidd500 too bad it's a 2 wheel drive.
R8 powered Tracker.
@Randy Jackson True, but you gotta admit it's kind of awesome in its own way. Nothing like traveling down the express way and the wind taking control of your car.

i know I am quite off topic but do anyone know a good place to watch new tv shows online?
@Vihaan Maximilian Lately I have been using Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
This will sell for $3mil at Barrett-Jackson some day

Amber's Tracker is coming along nicely. Safe to say when said and done it'll probably be the nicest in the state.
I have to say; you have some awesome neighbors (people). Always good to have a good crew. Props

This is my favorite build
So glad you got that audio system 👍 now onto the paint!
Nice system. Your going to need a security system to go with that audio to easy for theft with that soft top! Enjoy your videos !
Please keep us updated and do a recap on the finished tracker, great channel.
Getting this old tracker back to 'better than factory' specs...

I love my 95 tracker. This is inspiring me to put some work into it. They truly do look and feel so amazing w a lil elbow grease in em.
Well done that was my dream car when I turned 16 in LA👍👍‼️‼️
I can watch tracker vids all day their so cool
I like the way you do things like soldering connections. Once and done! Keep up the good work......
That's gotta be the best Tracker I've ever seen.
AC for the win
Nice job, looks great!
Great finish - can’t wait to see it painted and wheels done. Stereo sounds great, Shazam’d the tune 😉
I love the 8*up shirt! That's brilliant

I used to have a 95 Suzuki Sidekick, and mine had the removable canopy for the top and the rear. It was so much nicer than the soft tops.
At 8:34 Gabe decides to make an entrance. Walks up all calm and collected and admires the view from the back of the Tracker.
Virtual Vapes:🍻😎👍🏼
Now the Tracker has that new car smell !
The new carpet is SOOOOO nice!
You should bolt that subwoofer down. Make it harder to steal and keep it from flying if something bad happens.
And put a snorkel on it.
and put a spare on the back because it's really annoying me

One fine looking Alpine head unit.

You should restore a give-away car for your subscribers. I wouldn’t care what it is as long as it had some “WatchJRGo” logos/decals on it.
Jay White: This idea has merit! 😉🍻
This Tracker was all but destined for the junkyard. Now look at. Remarkable work, JR and crew!

Hopefully it's a survivor now! The song Far Out - Worlds Apart 🍻
