Agree watching you sharpen 8 chains would get a bit repetitive. I don't cut enough to justify a sharpener like yours. I have switched to the Stihl 2-in-1 hand sharpening tools and they have improved and sped up my sharpening results.

That's understandable. Also, if you get good with the hand filing, it's probably even faster and cheaper than my setup.
Thanks for the comment. And for watching ❤️

Very interesting to see that Oregon grinder in action - never used one, and quite enjoy manually filing chains, but with 8 chains I guess the Oregon is quite a lot faster? The Pferd/Stihl 2in1 is excellent for manual filing on the go

Yeah, I love it, and it gives me a good result. There's people who file manually, probably faster than I can swap a chain, lol. It's a skill. But I like doing it this way, especially when I can take a batch of 8 chains in one go as you say.
Thanks for the comment! And for watching, once again ❤️

Haha yes sorry. My plan was to include that part within this video, but I was too short on time to get it uploaded on schedule.

There are 2 things I hate in my older years when cutting wood, I hate hand filing and I hate taking chain off saw, unless I have an air compressor in the woods......... Therefore I am continually searching from hades to Heaven for bar mounted sharpeners, I tried Timberline, I give that 2 stars out of 5 because A> it dont hold tooth securely, B> it likes to bind trying to go in tooth with point facing carbide, C> I have hard time maintaining correct hook as chain wares down because theres no depth adjustment, and D> theres no motor........
I tried Timber Tuff bar mount sharpener, I give it 2 stars out 5 because A> the clamp part is wont hold position on bar but I did fix clap so it will, B> it runs off 12 volt battery only, I prefer electricity to get more power, C> the chain tooth advancement is pushing chain-tooth against stone-wheel which is hard to advance just a hair, screw adjustment would be better, so I mostly use it when I hit a rock, diamonds are the worst when hit, gold isn't so bad, I try not to hit either........
So far the best on bar sharpener that works the best for me is Granberg, a 12 battery and portable Stanley battery pack has plenty of power to run it, and the battery pack will boost a car.
I give it 3 stars because A> it wares stones faster and they aren't cheap, B> the part that holds tooth in place needs to be able to switch to both tooth sides/rows, as is now one tooth-holder for both sides, problem is when tooth gets half way down, the stone likes to run into tooth-holder and starts grinding that away, then have to buy another tooth-holder. Therefore I did modify tooth-holder so it holds each tooth side separately, it only took about 16 hours of trial and error, but if dont hold up I will have to do some more trial and error error error.......
My next option is buy a sharpener like what you have and try to find way to take compressed air in woods so I can clean saw before putting new chain on, it's against my religion to not blow a saw clean before putting new chain on............

I LOVE this comment. Thanks again for sharing your experience! It does hurt my soul a little not to blow the saw clean when swapping chains. I guess I just bottle it up inside me, just like my feelings.
I really appreciate your comments. Thank you! ❤️

I watch your channel using yandex browser, it has a video translation function, there are of course disadvantages of this browser, it does not always translate words correctly.
