I've been wondering if there's a medical issue that's causing Jon to sound so awful in the latest concerts and I saw something in this video that shocked me. In the very beginning of this video, he moves around JUST LIKE Michael J. Fox does...and it makes me wonder if the reason for his awful singing is that he's got Parkinson's Disease! That would explain everything!
I hope he doesn't have Parkinson's. I hope it's just a matter of needing to take better care of himself. But the way he moved...just struck me!
No he doesn't OMG!
I suspect two things: hearing loss and possibly a stroke, based on his weird lyric phrasing these days…

He unfortunately started smoking in 1996 on a movie shoot, possibly by some fellow actor who introduced him to it + he was bored out of his mind and concerts were the only thing which kept him going/not bored (to say the least). Luckily he stopped in 2010 and had 2-3 good years after that, but in 2014 it went downhill for unknown reasons. From that time to now it’s rumored that he had a failed vocal cord surgery.
A quick fact to throw in is that he was never a very technical singer as he used to teach himself how to sing (which worked when he was young), and during the 90s, but once he started smoking the technique he was taught in the 90s didn’t work anymore and he went off on his own thing, basically.
It’s very sad what happened to his voice. Too much touring and way too few breaks in between also contributed. Check out 93 and 95/96 concerts, hear how he sings there. 2-3 hour concerts with intense screams, high notes and generally high pitch. It took its toll unfortunately.
