As of July 30th, 2024. I ran this on normal. This is less then 1 month away from The War within expansion. For G huun I only needed to put 1 ball of light into each side, not 3 as previous. Also they removed the debuff that completely stops you from moving and have to toss the ball. You can just use your quick abilities and dps down the blood boils to get to the vault.
Ill just second this, mythic uldir on a 563ilvl destro lock i was able to solo it, 1 orb each side. the only annoying thing was i got stunned after the second orb somehow, 20 seconds
I'll be spot checking Uldir and the other BFA raids again as soon as the next patch drops. You never know when Blizz might drop a few stealth nerfs. Thanks for the guide 👍
Found out you can solo zul as a paladin in dragonflight on normal just need massive dps and you have to bubble just before he casts deathwish. after that its a dps race so make sure you have cds if he gets the second cast off youre dead.
Would like to say, was running this on mythic solo today. Zul was a nightmare but it was so demoralizing to find that mythrax is still not able to be soloed. (without the rock)
For warriors attempting to solo Mythrax before the fix, you can use Heroic leap to avoid the wall glitch a few times, it really reduces the difficulty if you use HL on the 30s CD makes it so you have at most about 1-2 wall glitch uses.
Yeah i did all up to mythrax as a warrior and it still is giving me a hard time with that insta kill mechanic. That's the only thing that annoys me about BFA raids and dungeons are how they are really easy to solo right now but there are a few due to mechanics just are not doable or atleast without a small group
For the mythrax wall glitch I found that the timing becomes far easier if you hug the wall closely and then jump first before pressing the movement button, so that you are moving slowly whilst in the air. Plus, you'll always land right back on the rock and barely have to reposition yourself.
They always end up fixing something like this eventually its a question of when. If Blizzard keeps true to the patch cadence they want for this expansion though I think it will be sooner rather than later but we will see!
Can this be done with a Rogue? Mythrax stopped me. Edit: I got passed Zul with Cloak of Shadows to block the first "Deathwish". He will cast it again and again unless you kill him, so either way once he gets below 40%, you have to pour all the pain on him. You will have a split second window *FROM THE FIRST SYLLABLE IN THE DEBUFF DIALOGUE* to throw Cloak of Shadows and block his first Deathwish debuff. After that, it's a panic countdown to finish him off. I managed to kill him milliseconds before he cast the second Deathwish (he was in the process of the debuff dialogue).
yea i tried this from the rock and in the middle he either kept despawning or oneshoting me or again despawning.im 464 and lvl 70 on a palli that orb will either kill you or he runs i know it can be done but i spent a good 30 minutes doing this for the sword mog i've soloed world bosses with this toon i see what you mean.
From my experience if the jump isn't done correctly and the orb does spawn, one of two things will happen: 1) If you have some sort of pet (or maybe guardian as well), the boss will despawn. 2) If you have no pet, you will just die.
The closest i ever got Mythrax was 16% on my ret pally but every time after that ive died at 30% ive been at this for 2 hours straight just him and cannot do it for the life of me. 😂
I just did it on my Ret Pal at lvl 427. I absolutely hate it though. My hands are still shaking. I jumped down and stood on the rock facing the root slightly to the right of center. When the boss appeared I threw him a few wacks before the jump at .6. I did use my bubble for his next kill shot. The rest was easy .
My friend, you spent far too much time lamenting how slow you go and how you should wait and not enough time explaining how to get thee orbs and where to put them.
hmm..i tried with warrior leap and it works. although i have only one leap so i cannot use it 2nd time . seems with any jump ability you can avoid it. didn't check other classes though.
I'm having an issue, i'm starting to time the orb better, but when boss switches to Phase2 there's another orb that bugs out and the boss resets. can't get p2 to properly start.

fantastic video really appreciate it one thing i would like to add for anyone trying to solo this i would suggest holding your burst on vectis until the stun ends cuz you get stunned at the start of the fight also taloc if you kill it too fast you will be stuck in the elevator just the fact that you have to wait for blizzard to fix this to optimally solo ghuun and mythrax just shows how annoying it really is
Honestly, until they make the last two more soloable, I say just bring a few beefed out buddies and rofl stomp the last two insects, especially Zul, I hate nothing more than mechanics that make you run off the cliff, so cheep and underwhelming. I managed to get to Zul as my DK, and the cheep loser made me run off every time. Oh well, got all but the shoulders and belt for the plate set along with the big mace weapon for Tmog, so I’m happy for now.

@@Therealsitacha Blizz seems to be of the opinion that raid content 2 expansions old should be soloable. So Once the first raid of DF has been out it should get changed. (Should, not will)
As of Dragonflight 10.1.5 update, I used an unholy DK of 426 ilvl set on a normal difficulty of the raid and cleared it just barely by doing 101k dps. If yall have dps above that then it's pretty easy. But also note that DKs have anti-magic shell which got me through the first charm, after that I am a sitting duck for meal if I don't dps hard enough before the 2nd charm comes that guarantees the fight to reset, even with Turn Undead (Lichborne). FYI, I didnt use the rock strategy this guy is showing, just was immune to charm once then dpsed hard enough to kill that octopus.
I solo'd up to G'huun on Mythic as a 443 Arms Warrior. Used the rock for mythrax and killed him in 1 intermission. But i didn't know about the azeroth thing. So i will use that tonight to do it on Normal or Heroic. I only wanted the weapons from mythrax on Mythic i want the shield from G'Huun on either hero or norm.
its possible, just did it on my lock just by jumping. its resetting because ur late on the jump. if ur not touching the root (standing as close to the root as possible) before the jump you will die. The timing is 0.5. At least that's what it took for me. you don't need to jump off the rock. I stood on the rock and didn't move at all you can take dmg from his ability's (436Ilvl). In phase 2 you need to kill ads before he moves to final stage. Ads will drop orbs pick thos up or youll die I think and then phase 3 just dps the boss. Cheers.
thanks, I did not know that Zuls doing this thing in about 20 seconds after hitting phase 2, after knowing this it was easy for me as prot warri to use my cooldowns then and kill it
So due to scaling you're gonna wanna hit level 70 first. I haven't tested myself but it seems once you hit around 370 ilvl(which will be very easy once season 1 starts) it should be around the same difficulty it was befroe the pre patch.

As a returning player who skipped 90% of BfA and all of Shadowlands, it's helpful to have these tips for when for my attempts to collect transmog.

Even in the new gear, Im currently level 70 with ilvl 336 and this instance is still just stupid difficult to solo. I pulled your video up when I got to mythrax, watched about a minute of the Mythrax portion and then hearthed out lol. I had already been in the instance for maybe 30-40 mins.

Sorry for the late response but it is a pixel perfect jump so its incredibly easy to mess up. If done correctly the orb shouldn't spawn at all but its very difficult to pull off and took me a few hours to really get down. Honestly in hindsight I'm not sure how worth it was for me to make this video but figured it was better than nothing until Blizzard changes the last 2 bosses.
Not playing the game currently but I'm pretty dam sure I read something about Blizzard at least wanting to make changes to some of the bosses in the BFA raids like Mythrax and G'huun but I guess they haven't implemented it yet :(
pretty sure i'm just doing it wrong but figured it was worth mentioning. as of right now, any attempt THAT IS SUCCESSFUL to avoid the orb with the jump just causes mythrax to reset for me. and obviously an unsuccessful attempts just insta kills me as it should
Yah its pretty much a pixel perfect jump that is required and is incredibly easy to mess up. I worked at it for a couple hours just to make this video (which looking back at it now Im not sure I should have even bothered with this video XD). Honestly the best advice I can give you is to wait for a change to the boss. In a 10.1.5 interview with Mr GM Ion said "Shortly after 10.1.5, they plan on smoothing out some of the BFA raid encounters that are unsoloable such as Mythrax." Obvi the shortly part didn't happen lol but the nerfs gotta be coming soon.
6:34 Gee man this boss ain't a joke at all as a frost mage (though end S4 geared ~300ilvl) : the stacking debuff does not go with Ice Block and hell he hits like a truck man :( not doable as a mage or rather frost mage atm, maybe i'll try it in fire but not sure it'll get better :s, btw if anyone's got a technique to do it as frost mage, prepatch version (no covenant, no legendaries anymore) be my guest :)
I'll be looking at the Vezax strat, except for certain classes (ex : DH jump, rogue hook) I haven't anything that doesn't require extremely precise timing.
I went in here with a friend last night and we are completely decked out in DF 375+ gear, but we kept getting one shot early on at the same time by Mythrax. Like something would blow up and we'd die with full hp and details or recap wouldn't say what killed us. Do you know what this mechanic is? Our health wasn't being lowered to a low amount either. We are sitting with 200k hp and then just...die?
That sounds like the mind control orbs to me. I forgot the exact number that spawns but with only 2 ppl one 100% spawn on each of you so you would still have to do the scuffed method I showed in the video until Blizzard eventually changes it.

@@Ditronus. Now that you say that it could actually be the amount of debuffs that you have. Pretty much every ability the boss does reduces your max hp so that actually can eventually one shot you. The way to remove that debuff it to run over the little green orbs on the ground. There wont be enough to fully remove every stack u get so it is a bit of a dps race
Hey, I just cleared heroic as a 405 ilevel Evoker, and just wanted to note how gear impacts this. The first 6 are extremely easy and I wouldn't be surprised if they're doable on Mythic for certain classes. Heroic Mythrax is actually not too bad with raid gear; and as a demon hunter you can Fel Rush out of them I believe, so there's no need to even bother with the jump if you are lucky enough to be a DH. Character model size seems to come into play - the jump is extremely inconsistent as a Dracthyr, but with Orb of the Sin'dorei or Visage form it seems to be a lot easier. With solid gear and burst you can force Mythrax to transition in < 30 seconds, and so you'll only need to execute the jump twice. G'huun is still a pain, although you take next to zero damage from the adds now which helps a little. This is the only boss that's probably not going to be soloable on Mythic until Blizzard fixes something.
If someones watches it now and reads this comment for some reason: sphere dodge on mythrax doesnt work anymore, but in normal(lfr obv too) and heroic u can solo it by bursting it, the whole point is to deal the most damage ur spec can do with in 10-12 sec after fight begins, 1 sphere wont hit u because boss will phase on 50% or smth(u need to bring him to this % in 5-6secs) and in another 5-6 secs when he is casting his thing u need to kill him(2nd sphere will proc 1-2 secs before he finishes his cast - if u not make it u get got), its possible to do if u spec ur talants to maximize damage in this short interval and if u have decent gear, i did it in normal with 424 ilvl fury with drums, if u have mythic aberrus gear u can do heroic with this "start" too
For G'hunn, soulshape did work. So blinks work. But soulshape no longer exists in BFA :) Also, enrage on adds comes in around 7min30. And adds stop spawning. So you could kill the adds then do the orbs. But you'll hit the 15-minutes boss enrage. Also, I wonder which patch they'll nerf BFA bosses. A lot of them have anti-solo mechanics (ex : Jaina Mythic, N'zoth Heroic).
Awesome stuff will def pin a comment shortly! Yah man I really wish they would be more aggressive with changes to these bosses. Simply removing the orb on mythrax and the immobile debuff on G'huun would make them instantly ok imo

@@Rustycobra Also, the issue isn't them aggressively changing the bosses - it's them waiting 3 years to do it. Kind of sad - it's exactly the same amount of developer time wether you do it one expansion later or two. I doubt it's some conspiracy, just putting off less important work until you really have to do it.

You can spam hookshot and the debuff will be removed by itself and you won't fall off the stage
Well it’s still hard to solo so just use premade group like I did, two people joined after 3-4 minutes and we killed the mythrax in like 20 seconds!

Sounds like a bug unless you're dragging the boss to the upper platform.

This far in the game, if you have 44x+ gear, you can kill Mythrax by throwing every possible CD on him before MC hits.

Thought I bring my newly leveled 70 druid at ilvl 350 in. Then I I cast my spells and nothing happens. F this. Next xpac.

381 pve ilvl (420 pvp ilvl) hunter here, can't beat Mytrax. the bubble kills me every time. 100-0

Doing solo LFR as a 65 evoker I was able to kill Taloc and MOTHER and BARELY Zek'voz, but can't even touch the others. Damn.

Even in the new gear, Im currently level 70 with ilvl 336 and this instance is still just stupid difficult to solo. I pulled your video up when I got to mythrax, watched about a minute of the Mythrax portion and then hearthed out lol. I had already been in the instance for maybe 30-40 mins.
Straight up its not worth to farm right now. Hopefully Blizz changes ASAP

i tryed a lot of time, after 12 times it works once. I watched you vidos a lot, i stay on the right point but this orb is still here and killed me or the fight ends... so what i do wrong?
Sorry for the late response but it is a pixel perfect jump so its incredibly easy to mess up. If done correctly the orb shouldn't spawn at all but its very difficult to pull off and took me a few hours to really get down. Honestly in hindsight I'm not sure how worth it was for me to make this video but figured it was better than nothing until Blizzard changes the last 2 bosses.

Not playing the game currently but I'm pretty dam sure I read something about Blizzard at least wanting to make changes to some of the bosses in the BFA raids like Mythrax and G'huun but I guess they haven't implemented it yet :(

pretty sure i'm just doing it wrong but figured it was worth mentioning. as of right now, any attempt THAT IS SUCCESSFUL to avoid the orb with the jump just causes mythrax to reset for me. and obviously an unsuccessful attempts just insta kills me as it should
Yah its pretty much a pixel perfect jump that is required and is incredibly easy to mess up. I worked at it for a couple hours just to make this video (which looking back at it now Im not sure I should have even bothered with this video XD). Honestly the best advice I can give you is to wait for a change to the boss. In a 10.1.5 interview with Mr GM Ion said "Shortly after 10.1.5, they plan on smoothing out some of the BFA raid encounters that are unsoloable such as Mythrax." Obvi the shortly part didn't happen lol but the nerfs gotta be coming soon.

6:34 Gee man this boss ain't a joke at all as a frost mage (though end S4 geared ~300ilvl) : the stacking debuff does not go with Ice Block and hell he hits like a truck man :( not doable as a mage or rather frost mage atm, maybe i'll try it in fire but not sure it'll get better :s, btw if anyone's got a technique to do it as frost mage, prepatch version (no covenant, no legendaries anymore) be my guest :)

I'll be looking at the Vezax strat, except for certain classes (ex : DH jump, rogue hook) I haven't anything that doesn't require extremely precise timing.

I went in here with a friend last night and we are completely decked out in DF 375+ gear, but we kept getting one shot early on at the same time by Mythrax. Like something would blow up and we'd die with full hp and details or recap wouldn't say what killed us. Do you know what this mechanic is? Our health wasn't being lowered to a low amount either. We are sitting with 200k hp and then just...die?
That sounds like the mind control orbs to me. I forgot the exact number that spawns but with only 2 ppl one 100% spawn on each of you so you would still have to do the scuffed method I showed in the video until Blizzard eventually changes it.

@@Ditronus. Now that you say that it could actually be the amount of debuffs that you have. Pretty much every ability the boss does reduces your max hp so that actually can eventually one shot you. The way to remove that debuff it to run over the little green orbs on the ground. There wont be enough to fully remove every stack u get so it is a bit of a dps race
The scaling in BFA raids is currently yikes in df and honestly harder than prepatch

Hey, I just cleared heroic as a 405 ilevel Evoker, and just wanted to note how gear impacts this.
The first 6 are extremely easy and I wouldn't be surprised if they're doable on Mythic for certain classes.
Heroic Mythrax is actually not too bad with raid gear; and as a demon hunter you can Fel Rush out of them I believe, so there's no need to even bother with the jump if you are lucky enough to be a DH. Character model size seems to come into play - the jump is extremely inconsistent as a Dracthyr, but with Orb of the Sin'dorei or Visage form it seems to be a lot easier. With solid gear and burst you can force Mythrax to transition in < 30 seconds, and so you'll only need to execute the jump twice.
G'huun is still a pain, although you take next to zero damage from the adds now which helps a little. This is the only boss that's probably not going to be soloable on Mythic until Blizzard fixes something.
If someones watches it now and reads this comment for some reason: sphere dodge on mythrax doesnt work anymore, but in normal(lfr obv too) and heroic u can solo it by bursting it, the whole point is to deal the most damage ur spec can do with in 10-12 sec after fight begins, 1 sphere wont hit u because boss will phase on 50% or smth(u need to bring him to this % in 5-6secs) and in another 5-6 secs when he is casting his thing u need to kill him(2nd sphere will proc 1-2 secs before he finishes his cast - if u not make it u get got), its possible to do if u spec ur talants to maximize damage in this short interval and if u have decent gear, i did it in normal with 424 ilvl fury with drums, if u have mythic aberrus gear u can do heroic with this "start" too
UPDATE : I was wrong, pvp trinkets don't work for Zul. Immunities should work though - turtle does.
Also, I did not invent the Mythrax strat. It was Merci, an awesome chinese hunter. I can't post links here, but I'm sure it's in my Vezax video.
For G'hunn, soulshape did work. So blinks work. But soulshape no longer exists in BFA :)
Also, enrage on adds comes in around 7min30. And adds stop spawning. So you could kill the adds then do the orbs. But you'll hit the 15-minutes boss enrage.
Also, I wonder which patch they'll nerf BFA bosses. A lot of them have anti-solo mechanics (ex : Jaina Mythic, N'zoth Heroic).
Awesome stuff will def pin a comment shortly! Yah man I really wish they would be more aggressive with changes to these bosses. Simply removing the orb on mythrax and the immobile debuff on G'huun would make them instantly ok imo

Kind of sad - it's exactly the same amount of developer time wether you do it one expansion later or two. I doubt it's some conspiracy, just putting off less important work until you really have to do it.
