Love the video man! Hope the vaca was nice and your fish are looking happy to have ya home. I still haven’t transferred my tank to the bigger one because I’m worried to put the fish into a new tank with new water and new sand. I worry there’s not enough beneficial bacteria from my rocks and canister filter bacteria to sustain them. And I can’t leave the fish in buckets for a week lol. I’m trying to figure out step by step in how to do this without messing it all up.

If you are using the same rock from the previous tank then there will be enough bacteria in there for them. Buy some atm colony and add bacteria too. Sure be fine.

@@aaronsreef1403 thanks bud! May I ask what atm, and bacteria brand you suggest? And when the water is added with sand the water will be really cloudy. Now do I just dump the chemicals into the water after fish, and sand and rock is all added in quickly? I appreciate your knowledge here Aaron. You make the whole process in your videos look like it’s easy. Lol

Atm colony has all the bacteria you need. Just make sure you but the marine version.
I add the rock sand then water. Dump in the bacteria. Let settle for a day and then add the fish.

@@aaronsreef1403 Aaron quick question. 2 days ago I put a small yellow watchman goby, and small pistol shrimp in my current tank to pair up. Since I put them in the tank after the first 20 mins they went into the tank I haven’t seen them at all. Is that normal for them to not be out and about Aaron? I only ask because you have some serious fish in that beautiful tank of yours.

Im sure they are around. Probably made themselves a cave somewhere and maybe where you cant see them.

Surely the cling wrap over the top would have effected the oxygen level???

Maybe. But my skimmer is sucking air from outside. So constant fresh oxygen pumped in. Didnt really think about that. But not the entire tank was wrapped. Was a section open for the auto feeder.
