This is the most well constructed mesh lid I think I've ever seen - I made mine with the red sea kit which seems similar and it's an absolute dogs dinner. You could probably charge people to build their mesh lids for them

I had thought about a very similar idea that I plan to do with my 7225. Mine will drain out the wall to the side of mine but my water come from a whole other place so will run a pipe from there into my sump so you won’t see…

Store it in rodi and completely clean off solution between calibration and clean in rodi b4 going into tank

Hey Aaron. We have the same tank and even some of the same fish! What setting do you run your gyre on? Is it the xf350? We just added one last week mounted it on the weir with the magnet in a bag. We also run 2xMP40 each side of weir. Tank is looking great!

Hey Aaron great 👍 good, I have the Redsea E-260 similar to the reefer 250 mine is 69gal with sump. Tempted to get the redsea filter 500 but not sure about taking out the filter cup area, can it damage the sump structure as removing the pain of glass. Always I have the emergency drain trickling in stable the return pump section for the ato. I have the reefdose 4 and reefwave 25 love the automation and all in on place reef beat. Is it worth getting it do you see any issues with the hose supplied of kinking to become blocked or cause an major issue with the main drain?

Maybe raise your maxspec higher & add a AI/ Jaboa wave maker to the middle left hand side to create more flow without battering the corals, also try dosing with bacteria over 4-6weeks rather than chemicals, all early days & looks great 👍🏻

thanks for the update, you are very skilled at what you do, i wouldn't know where to start, anyway it has given me an idea, what to do the same with my frag, i might go for the smaller one, frag sumps are not too hard to modify i thinks., thanks for everything, really enjoy your updates always learning.

I do like this tank, it is developing really well. I have to say Aaron that you are clearly skilled with the various building projects in it, the lighting is one such example, I like that a lot!

This is why I like more the custom made tanks, easy to modify and adapt any kind of gear that you want to add later down to road...the first part of yours sump is basically wasted there is no water pasing trough, in my opinion its better to modify all the sump to be able to take advantage of all the space u have available for filtration. Fair warning neon dottyback’s can be pretty nasty. Heard the captive bred ones are generally less aggressive, and a large portion in the trade are now captive bred. Love the tank updates!
