    You could probably summarize this as: The RX is the bike most people think they want, while the X is the bike most people actually need.
    A couple extra things
    Both these bikes also have larger radiators than their contemporary MX bikes to combat overheating. The RX has a slightly larger fuel tank (2.1 gal), with about a pint of more capacity than the X. The X has a dash with a trip meter, and can also show how much fuel you've used. It also has a 'low fuel' warning light, handy for the relatively small tank.
    (Honda's 450 lineup actually features 7 different bikes if you count the Anniversary Edition, the dual sport model is the 'RL', not the 'L'.)

      How much is 450 x fuel tank litres

    • @commentaccount49
      @commentaccount49 Год назад

      @@CatholicCrusader__30 7.6 litres, but part of that is a reserve to keep the fuel pump submerged. It will begin to sputter after using approximately 7.2 litres riding on level ground.

    Now that all the Japanese bikes are over $10k there is no reason to still be using cable clutches. I'm glad that most other bikes aren't bothering with California compliance.

      Alot of people like and prefer them. I still do many people who grew up riding and are over 20 will prefer them it was never hard to pull in the clutch it’s adorable how soft people have become.

      My YZ clutch is just as smooth as my 23 300xc. I prefer the feel of a cable, hydro is more on off like a light switch.

    Honda should be thankful you made it … because some of their dealers haven’t grasped the things you mentioned.

    X has a beefier frame as well. X also has a Full Blown airbox that can do water crossings no problem and probably a stronger charging system that can support multiple accessories. Was studying them at the dealer the other day and noticed. 450X, 250r, 250x in my garage so I definitely nerd out for Big Red.

    Ride the KLR650 in single track for a few days and the crf450x will feel like a toy, especially if it was lowered a bit. I think the high seat height makes it feel heavier than it is. The Crf300l is 300lbs, and it feels pretty light. Plus once you replace the stock exhaust and get rid of unnecessary emissions components, which most people do, it will be even lighter. Also, most people install a vortex ecu and now its a fire breather, whith more compliant suspension for 150lbs er's like me and it has a six speed tranny. Far better machine for true offroaders and it can be licensed in most states.
