I believe you are adding the engine oil to the pump. The pump needs a heavier 15-40. 30 should be great for the motor. Be sure to change the shipping plug (the red plastic one).
@@benjaminleslie3155 the red cap? It means danger and take it it of so you can replace it with the breather cap that came with the pump when you first purchase it. If ypu still have it on. Put on the breather cap. It's the same sizes as the red cap. mine came black. I'm not sure if it's the same.with all pressure washers
I've tried all the highest psi electric pressure washers - ryobi, Westinghouse (this was especially disappointing) and craftsman - they've all been underwhelming. I've given up and decided to get a gas one. How do you like this Simpson? I've been leaning towards it since it is made in the USA and I try to buy US made as much as possible. thx for your vid.
What about when that area that is showing how much oil you have starts leaking but it doesn’t have anywhere for you to take that glass off to replace o ring

Major error, when draining remove the filler plug to maximize flow. Also, run the motor before changing the oil.
I could be wrong but isn't that red cap the shipping cap?
Definitely looks like it. You should put the breather cap on if it came with it bro. You'll damage the pump and void warranty
Alr bet
@@PencePressureWashing what does that mean?

It’s pretty solid!
Is this different from the engine oil?
Yes, very
Haye whats the extra handle bar for. Just curious
Its not the correct viscosity for AAA pump
👍

Can u use the same oil for the engine
Thanks helpful
The red cap is the shipping cap.
Well where else do you pour it?
@@Brodc the red cap is only for shipping. The machine comes with a black cap as well. You are supposed to switch them out when you get the machine.
@@justinhoffman5726 Ah okay this answer makes much more sense, I bought my pressure washer from facebook so it came without the black cap.
You have the wrong plug in the fill hole
Tip remove filler cap first I’ve seen those plastic caps break
I think you added the engine oil into the pump lol
