  • This is a complete guide to changing the oil on a Simpson 2.5 GPM 3200 PSI pressure washer with a Honda GC-190 engine.
    This is also applicable for a GC-160 Engine.
    Tools needed:
    - 1 funnel
    - .6 quart 5W30 for cold weather OR .6 quart 10W30 for hot weather
    - 12 MILLIMETER wrench
    (I realize I miss-spoke in the video)
    - short Tupperware to collect oil
    - a couple of paper towels to clean excess oil and to check dipstick

    Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well ruclips.net/user/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.

    Hey, thanks for the excellent video, I appreciate it. Btw........ it's millimeter (mm), not milliliter (ml). Milliliter (milliltre) is a volume measurement.

      @@spruceitupyardrenovators3771 where I live, 15w40 mineral and semi synthetic motor oils from renowned brands like Petronas, Motul, Shell,Totachi,Total, Valvoline,Aisin are cheap. I always go for Heavy Duty Diesel multigrade motor oil 15w40 for my petrol generator but instead of the 100 hours oil change as the user manual recommends, I change the oil at 80 hours. No visible smoke, no spark plug fouling and engine runs smooth as usual.
      Oh! I live in a warm climate, that's why I use a slightly thicker motor oil

      Hi, I’ve owned the 3100 model for 6 years, it works like new. Just change the oil once or twice per season depending on how much it’s used, and NEVER run it without hose running. If you find the pull start difficult, just pull the wand trigger to release the pressure. Enjoy!

    • @AureliusD937
      @AureliusD937 2 года назад

      @@ewc58 I had this happen to me the other day. I got it started but it difficult to pull. I was worried i waited to long to change the oil. But it also ran out of gas at the time so it couldve been pressure in the wand?

    • @ewc58
      @ewc58 2 года назад +1

      @@AureliusD937 Check the oil to eliminate that as a concern. But yes it was probably pressure in the hose that made the pull start difficult
