Many have asked why we did not use the bucket to get it out, & we did, but the bucket was in a soupy mess as well, & there was nothing there solid enough for the bucket to push against to move the tractor. Thanks guys! Hope you have the BEST day ever!-Jason & Family
A bucket on a non-articulated set of arms won't get you unstuck. The hydraulics that tilt/dump the bucket aren't usually strong enough, especially on sub-compact tractors.
Just found your videos, mainly because i seen a Kubota stuck in the mud. We got mud everywhere,i got stuck even worse last year all 4wheels just disappeared. I used old gate under loader lift front wheels out then put another gate under them used shovel to dig trench for back wheels then use loader to push while reverse out, it's amazing how much these little tractors can do.i use mine for everything it's my best friend and helper. Subscribed now.
You guys are such a good team. Calm and cool in a stressful situation. Glad you were able to get it out. That’s some mud! Always good to have a bigger tractor nearby for emergencies.
OOPS! Stay Strong & Carry On! Great Attitude which makes all the difference in any situation. Prayers headed your way. Hope we get to meet y'all someday. Love and God Bless! Uncle Jeff!
Holy moly! That thing was stu-uck! I'm glad you got it out and didn't get the truck trapped in the process. And nobody even got mad! You both kept laughing the whole time. I like it. Excellent team work, you guys!
Tractor so stuck it moved about like Bama scored at Nationals...hardly at all 😋. I feel you on all the rain; didn't realize I bought mud-front property. Love and laughs from Clemson, SC.
Tie a 10 inch round log across back tires. Use a chain to tie up the log and back it up. You only get 1/2 revolution on back tires. This is coming from my husband.
Alright Cog Hill family glad Your truck saved the day. The ducks enjoyed that mud holes. Jason I hope Mrs Coghill will be careful and not hurt herself. How is she doing? I thought she was having an operation. I love it that y’all didn’t give up. God bless you good people.
There's a Canadian song about this. According to the song you need a sack of corn. And another tractor! Haven't seen the ending yet so should be interesting!
I wondered what was said off camera? I noticed you didn't say anything when your wife said: "she wouldn't have gotten it stuck if you didn't tell her about the chicken's". You are a good husband because you didn't say a word. Lol! Always remember, happy wife, happy life!
Lawdy, I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think she was coming outta there. Glad the truck gotter done.😉👍. Think you need to start building that area up so that doesn't happen again. We have a soup hole on our property too. Live and learn for sure. Have a better week.
Awesome Video Jason, Thats what I'm talking about! Normal everyday farm adventures. Been in that situation myself a few times. The curl function of the bucket can help tremendously sometimes. Place bucket in full dump position. Set it on the ground and "Curl" the bucket out while you pull, drive in reverse. Also you could of hooked a strap the ROPS on the high side of the tractor and that may have lifted the sunken up. Keep on Keepin' on!
Jacob Mader this is a very true statement, and a lesson I’ve learned the hard way many many times. Watching this vid in the beginning with that tractor tire spinning, all you’re doing is digging a bigger hole. Once stuck, put it in reverse, hold off on releasing the clutch(or hydrostat reverse) until you have pressure from the front loader bucket pushing you back, then gently ease off the clutch to not dig holes.
I got my 8,000 lbs pickup truck stuck on my farm. High iron clay soil. 4 of use guys bug about 15 yards of dirt to get out. Kubotas are good running tractors. Very economical for us smaller farmers.
It has been the exact same way here, ever since Hurricane Michael came through! My poor goat pen that is never wet has been under water for months. Glad you guys got the tractor out!
in the futre when you are stuck use the front bucket to get you out, you turn the bucket full forward and then set it on the ground and then turn the bucket up so it pushes you backwards
We love our Kubota also! It’s a tough machine! I really liked what you said about no two farms are the same, you do you, adapt to your situation! I might have to still those for a video or two!
Holy crap! When the Mrs gets the tractor stuck, she doesn't mess around. Looks like you will need a D4 Cat to get that sucker out of there. The suction is keeping it in there, you just as well let it all dry up then try it in a few days...Ooops, I was wrong - Chevy/GMC does the impossible!!
I had a similar situation once. hook your strap as usual but put a tire rite behind the tractor and run the strap from the hitch up over the tire and then to the side by side. it lifts and pulls at the same time as the tire rolls. just a tip for the future. love the videos. I'm from South Central PA and we had a ton of rain this yr also.
Thumbs up for Mrs Cog helping. She is a real trooper. I always dread having to help getting things unstuck or towing. Kubotas are the best. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
I love this guys voice and demeanor. Haven't been that stuck yet and after the first time getting stuck I like to keep the backhoe on in wet weather. Don't think I have dealt with conditions that saturated though.
It is called drainage plan and road cloth under real gravel. Wait until spring and learn road building. We get 150" rain and 30" fog in rain forest. Road building season. June 1 to August 30 each year. A contractor used d-9 cat to tow concrete truck before concrete pump.
Mix a little lime dust in the soft spots to firm up your soil in high trafficked areas. Bags of lime can be purchased at almost any hardware store cheap. Many other good uses around the farm.
I recently got my truck stuck in the mud when I was in the woods getting firewood - I tired jacking up the rear wheels and putting boards under them but that didn't work - tried a come along but that didn't work - then luckily it got real cold and froze the mud - I was able to just drive out of the mud -
There is such a thing as a set of (plastic? Metal?) "sand tracks" that you use to put under the wheels of vehicles that are stuck in the sand at the beach... they give the wheel traction. You can get them on Amazon or auto parts places and i THINK they might work in mud, too..
🤣🤣 this looks like it was a case of "i'm a little stuck....i'm going to hit the gas while singing the entire _star spangled banner_ and see if the tractor's free by the end." glad you got it out.
We have the same model Kubota. Went through the same thought process about whether we should buy it or not. Came to same conclusion. How did we ever do without it. We use it for things we never imagined and use it a lot. Never got it that stuck though.
I have the same tractor. I have tipped it before, never got it stuck though. I live (for another week that is) on a mountain, so the whole property is sloped. Never work on a hillside and not pay attention. I had to use my side by side (looks like yours too) and wenches attached to trees lol
That was us in September. Two day and three trucks later and one of the other trucks ended up stuck too. Wish I could attach a picture. You'll have to get your tires fixed. When this happens water gets in the wheels.
stuck my JD2440 last spring it has CC in the tires and weights one tire weighs what your little tractor does. i had to pull off the 6' mower and it took my Ford 841 diesel and my F-250 diesel 4x4 and my neighbors jeep with a 12,000 winch pulling together to get me out. took hours to get free.
Many have asked why we did not use the bucket to get it out, & we did, but the bucket was in a soupy mess as well, & there was nothing there solid enough for the bucket to push against to move the tractor. Thanks guys! Hope you have the BEST day ever!-Jason & Family
WOW!!!!!!!👀 Saw your post on twitter.
Dang you guys! That's a bummer.
kubota is the best product and best support to customers like mine does thats what kubota all ways says For Earth, For Life
Does that tractor have 4x4 and was the differential lock turned on

Thanks for sharing this tidbit!!
I can't believe how bad that was buried. It's a good thing you were able to get the truck over there. What a relief.
You guys are such a good team. Calm and cool in a stressful situation. Glad you were able to get it out. That’s some mud! Always good to have a bigger tractor nearby for emergencies.
Thanks!! :)
Wow! You and your wife work very nice together. I can only imagine the high blood pressure and yelling my husband and I would have had!
I like how you guys stayed calm and just kept trying. I think I would have freaked out.
So fun watching the oldies on replay after watching the 40 bloom , can hardly believe I've been watching for 4 years now ❤ much love as always frm Ks
JASON YOU ARE A GOOD MAN!!!! GOD BLESS YOU SIR! Your Parents must be so PROUD of you, a real Man - a Manly Man!!!
I watch you on my tv and realized that I really need to make comments when I do... watch you all the time. Have a fabulous day!
Just found these older videos. What a big difference from the new place.
Mrs. Cog Hill is superwoman!!! Even though I'm in my 30's, I wanna be just like you when I grow up!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Gotta respect a woman in pink working alongside her husband in the mud... great job, guys! :)
:) Thank you
OOPS! Stay Strong & Carry On! Great Attitude which makes all the difference in any situation. Prayers headed your way. Hope we get to meet y'all someday. Love and God Bless! Uncle Jeff!
I love your positivity. “No 2 farms are alike” and “ you do you”.
What a team! You really put a "WE CAN" into the "I CAN"!!! ♡♡♡
Yes!! Thank you!!!
You guys make a great team I never seen something that stuck
I very much admire your wife, she is one strong woman and does so many different things,,,WTG!
Holy moly! That thing was stu-uck! I'm glad you got it out and didn't get the truck trapped in the process. And nobody even got mad! You both kept laughing the whole time. I like it. Excellent team work, you guys!
Miss Cog Hill Saved the Day. I was beginning to wonder if you were going to get that out the mud or not. Behind every good man stands a lady.
Yes! We bought a small kabota tractor when we bought our land too(5.5 acres). Couldn’t do without one.
It is one of the best investments we've ever made for sure!
I have several Kubota tractors wouldn’t have any other compact or utility tractor in my tool box. Good tractors.
Tractor so stuck it moved about like Bama scored at Nationals...hardly at all 😋. I feel you on all the rain; didn't realize I bought mud-front property. Love and laughs from Clemson, SC.
LOLOLOL!!!!! Thanks guys!

Good marriage counseling video on what do do when your marriage is stuck in the mud and not going anywhere lol! Great teamwork!
At the 30 second mark. If pulling failed, ya could wait till he roots it out...in a few years!
I’m stuck right now too. Getting dark so will try getting out in the morning. Thank you for filming this!

OMG, Ducks are just like dogs... they always have to be right in the middle of the action! Like they're part if the Decision Committee!
I like how the ducks turned a sticky situation into something positive.😂🦆

When you first realize your stuck stop evalute, generally if you stop when you are barely stuck you can pull out with small equipment.

@@brianmcbride99 There's no way to get that buried without trying.
It's very important to get Peaches in on the Cog Hill plans. Great job, Cog Hill! LOVE your videos.
:)

Kubotas are good running tractors. Very economical for us smaller farmers.
WHOA! And I totally agree about Kubota!
The ducks sounded like '' ha ha '' 😂😂 glad you got the kubota back up 😆
LOLOLL
It has been the exact same way here, ever since Hurricane Michael came through! My poor goat pen that is never wet has been under water for months. Glad you guys got the tractor out!
It has been awfuL!!
Mrs Cogg hill is very game! You have a treasure there! You know it was a great mud hole because the ducks were playing in it like it was Disney land
❤️✊️👍👍👍👍
When I saw the ducks in the middle of it all, right after you removed the Box Scraper, it just cracked me up.
LOL
I feel like GMC needs to make a call and sponsor Cog Hill for the excellent product placement here! :)
You are so nice! My husband would never let me live it down!

That’s a great tractor, and it saves you lots of time and physical labor. Good job getting her unstuck!

Happy Father’s Day Jason.
You don't mess with Miss Cog Hill.
LOL, exactly

just an FYI....same trick works great for pulling posts also. search pulling post with a tire and it will explain it better than I can. lol
Awesome Thanks andy!!!!
Lots of coffee and a little bit of Cod Hill... that's making my day!
BOOM!
Thumbs up for Mrs Cog helping. She is a real trooper. I always dread having to help getting things unstuck or towing. Kubotas are the best. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Mrs Cog helping? you mean Jason helping Mrs. Cog 😂🤣
Trooper? She was the one that got it stuck, I would think it is rather a given that she should help get it out!
Yeah, more like Jason says "Tell me what you want me to do.". Mrs. Coghill is the operator of the family. Jason runs the shovel.
You ain't experienced farm life until you've battled a muddy situation!
Great video. I have been stuck and I understand how fun it is. Thanks for your humility and sharing.
I love this guys voice and demeanor. Haven't been that stuck yet and after the first time getting stuck I like to keep the backhoe on in wet weather. Don't think I have dealt with conditions that saturated though.
Ones you're stuck in wet mud, don't try to rock it out without help. Because then you dig yourself more and more into the mud.
Thanks we didn't know that.

Man that tractor was stuck but you'll got it.👍. Team work gets the work done

Oh my word...that’s definitely a “sticky” situation....😮. But the ducks seem perfectly happy with it!♥️
".. which, anyone who's been stuck in the mud in Alabama knows, you step on the gas, one tire spins, the other tire does nothing.
" - M. Tomei '92
YAS!!!
Yes sir better have a shovel that Alabama clay like to hug tires
I don't find Alabama mud to be as bad as other places I've lived. My buddy came down to visit and said it looked like a sissy made it .
Alls you need is two Utes.
Stay gold.
Sorry for grinning. lol. FUN VIDEO😄
Brook and her first baby tractor, look at you now girl.
Nice work! I've had my tractors stuck many times and sometimes the dang mud is super deceiving! LOL glad it worked out for you.
Your definition of mud is my definition of “QUICKSAND!”
You missed a wonderful chance to do a happy dance after you got the tractor out!🕺😁
We really did!!!!
Good job!!!! I laughed when the ducks found the puddle😂😂😂
This would make a good commercial for GMC trucks 😄 That mud was going to quicksand on ya!
You both are amazing ...I just found your channel....it has been fun just watching what you do .....love the interaction between you
Hi.... Thank you for sharing your video homestead 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 🎥👍👍👍
I like all the duck supervisors! 🦆 🦆
It was fun watching one of your old videos that I had missed ❤
Love it! Great job you 2 & another great video from the best farm channel on the net :)))))
Great team work & way to figure it out & smile while doing it, & don't bother with the negative comments, those people are just bitter

😂
Hmmmm looks like a spring may be under that area and with water table so high, you found it!!! Great teamwork guys.
Now that was a sticky situation!!!!! LOL GREAT job guys!!!!!!!
Lol...gotta keep that mower deck on there bhahaha...puts new meaning to float deck! WOOOOOO!!
😂
I thought you were going to have to bury that tractor right there. Good job getting it out. 🤠
LOLOLOL, me too
I can't help but feel those Ducks were laughing at you.
We have the same model Kubota. Went through the same thought process about whether we should buy it or not. Came to same conclusion. How did we ever do without it. We use it for things we never imagined and use it a lot. Never got it that stuck though.
This is so true! We said the same exact thing shortly after we got it! Wish we had done it sooner
Love the airstream I have a 31 foot 1958
Not sure but the ducks sure seem to find this hilarious 😆
Piece of cake CHF!!! Nice team work!
BEEN THERE DONE THAT. SOLUTION: I just hook Hummer to anything that's stuck it always comes unSTUCK. GOOD JOB YOU GUYS!
There is stuck, and then there is Cog Hill farms stuck!
agree, we women know how to really do a great job ooppss
Hey, if you are going to do something...do it BIG!
good day to you Jason & Family !! thanks for sharing another awesome update on & off the homestead !! 👨🌾🎥👍✝
I have the same tractor. I have tipped it before, never got it stuck though. I live (for another week that is) on a mountain, so the whole property is sloped. Never work on a hillside and not pay attention. I had to use my side by side (looks like yours too) and wenches attached to trees lol
Teamwork. Beautiful.
Good team work, we enjoy your videos.
U don't have to have a side by side to get your tractor unstuck, BUT IT HELPS 🤣
I have never had anything as good as my tractor 🚜
I am just now seeing this video and I do believe the ducks were laughing at you guys lol
Nice video. That song at the end..wow, very nice. Thanks for sharing
Those ducks were pretty entertaining too..all interested.
Wow! Pulled it out like a boss! Did not think it was gonna go that easily. Good job!
That was us in September. Two day and three trucks later and one of the other trucks ended up stuck too. Wish I could attach a picture. You'll have to get your tires fixed. When this happens water gets in the wheels.
UgH!! I will be glad when summer gets here
Excellent video, every second of it !!!
That’s not stuck, that’s on another level! 😆 ooohhhh dear
Rained here in GA too much too, 2018 was the wettest year on record! I hope 2019 will dry out some!
So Wet!
stuck my JD2440 last spring it has CC in the tires and weights one tire weighs what your little tractor does. i had to pull off the 6' mower and it took my Ford 841 diesel and my F-250 diesel 4x4 and my neighbors jeep with a 12,000 winch pulling together to get me out. took hours to get free.
Whoa! TFS!
I've been stuck pretty bad before but I have to say "never" that bad! Y'all got it out of there real well!
