I have the 3K, 2K, Live 2 and Key 61. Love my old school MPC’s, but the Key 61 is hands down the most powerful and diverse MPC ever made. It truly is a music production center.
The MPC Key 61 is the best of the latest if you play keys but the most popular in the world is the MPC2000XL there are over 50,000 of them and they still sell in the used market more than some new MPCs. I've them in Thailand Hong Kong, France, .......
@@SampleKingsVideos yes sir,.the operating system is also missunderstud and the fact it's not analog, even tho it's sounds beautiful.. I think it's still a beast to this day.. thanks for you incredible work for the MPC community, very appreciated
Love your video you are on top of everything I love your knowledge and everything keep doing what you’re doing and Sample king you’re definitely on top of it until this day. I still got my MPC 2000 XL and you would have to pry it from my cold, dead hands before I actually ever give it up or sell it the only thing I can say is I’m a Chi fan I love my MPCT 61 almost as much as I do mine MPC 3000 XL
I have a mpc an i try an work hard with it. I have a looper as well that i find alot of fun to play together with. Im happy that this thing is out cuz it keeps me busy and will probably keep me from being poor. I play my bass guitar with it as well and beat box with my looper and find it alot fun.
I almost bought the ASQ10 used in 94 but didn't. I used the 60, 60II and 3000 then eventually I used and bought the 2000 and stuck with that until I went in the box. I contemplated getting thd XL but instead, I bought a Pro Tools LE setup to eliminate cartage costs. Now I've had the Touch for 5 years and love it.
Thank you for dropping the history. dope. just saw this video and and actually sitting by me 2000XL literally right now as I type. This thing is a beast midi to my ASR or MPC ONE. I won't be buying any other mpcs for a while. no need to. mpc one is the center of work flow ... MPC for chopping samples and triggering MPC2xl for drums
The 3K was the grail. If you had the money you was coping that. It’s only in recent years that I allowed myself to respect the 2K. It was heavily dissed by the bigger dogs at first. Cats that had budgets, records on the charts, and shows. Them 3Ks ran studios AND stages. The 2K came up with the next platinum group. The ones after Dre and all the 3K guys. They sold multi millions of records with it. I neve realized how many units the 2K and XL sold. Respect!
@@philtyrich1thanks for putting that straight. Even to this day if you do a poll the XL has more owners than any of the modern MPCs. That's not an opinion, that's a fact

The MPC2000XL is the most loved and the most sold ever over 50,000 sold in fact you see more XL's that 2000. There is never a lot of them in the used market there are more MPC ONEs than MPC2000XL's not an era but the entire history no drum machine sampler has sold more it also made a name for AKAI.
The 2000xl had a couple new features that wasn't on the 2000, but the latter had a better quality sound. The MPC 3000 sounded the best out of all of them,

I thing people don’t understand it that’s the only problem.

That's awesome Bro! I play bass with mine too.
The first MPC I ever actually learned how to use was an MPC2000XL. This was back in 2003.
Still a dope MPC.

Yup, the MPC 200xl is the most sold ever of any MPC so loved for the 60,000 or so not many are sold in the used market.
Amazing Video!
Thanks Bro!
I would say it's the greatest for an era of sound the one plus amd live 2 is for the next generation of Sound combine the 2 you have a fast flow
MPC 2000XL greatest selling period has nothing to with the Era of sound it has to do with the bottom line for Akai .
