    I m with you here CHris, I love buggies, especially Associated. You snappped up a good deal and she s running very nice. Also, my budget never allows new rigs so i also enjoy a second hand car and setting it up myself. Nice job man

      Hey buddy , Yeah man totally epic buggies to be fair . It does seem like its a awesome deal to be fair , and as you said runs great !
      Yeah buying the biggest , best and newest RCs aint ethical some times , when budget allows great ! but man if there is a epic second hand that can be bought im all for that and save a few bucks ! Like yourself its the touches you do to them after that makes that difference in my opinion .
      Thanks Philly for watching and commenting .

    Hey Chris, great video. It surprises more people who are into the hobby don’t do the same thing. If you like tinkering a kit is the way to go and the performance is several steps up from an RTR. Look forward to seeing you run this one more 👌

    • @ChriswithaCrc
      @ChriswithaCrc  12 дней назад

      Thanks so much! You're absolutely right-building a kit is such a rewarding experience, and the performance boost over RTRs is undeniable. For anyone who loves tinkering, it’s the perfect way to dive deeper into the hobby. I can't wait to share more runs with this one-it’s an absolute blast! Appreciate the support, my friend! 👌

      As you say bud so so planted handles like it’s on rails , when watching it’s maybe not as spectacular as others I’ve had but that’s because it glued to the corners rather thank sliding about !
      Such an epic purchase for the money , totally stoked .
      Thanks for watching 👀

      Cheers, mate! She’s definitely handling like a dream-tight, responsive, and just so much fun to throw around. Sounds like the TLR is nearly ready to shine! Heatherton this spring is going to be a blast-can’t wait to see that beast in action. Let me know once the date’s sorted, and we’ll get it all planned. Always good to catch up-let’s make it an epic one!

    Yeah boy! Same with my old Mugen mbx6 best £100 I ever spent on an rc, told you 1st pull trigger opens your eyes how good the kit built buggy’s are, so much nicer to work on also, I don’t even feel need to run it 6s but any other 6s basher buggy I do. Vp pro great bargain tire for buggy @£20set. Id love the rc8te I like the dual pack setup. Enjoy it look fwd to seeing more of it.

    • @ChriswithaCrc
      @ChriswithaCrc  12 дней назад +1

      Absolutely, mate! There’s something so satisfying about those high-quality kit-built buggies like the MBX6-definitely an eye-opener when you pull the trigger for the first time! 🔥 They’re built to such a high standard, and like you said, they’re a dream to work on compared to most RTRs. I’m with you on the VP Pro tires-absolute gems for the price! And yeah, the RC8TE dual-pack setup is super tempting-it just screams versatility and performance. Thanks for the kind words, and I can’t wait to share more on the channel soon. Cheers for stopping by, and happy bashing!

    Had a very similar experience to you, I was blown away by my RC8 B3.2. Mine runs with XR8 esc and 2200 KV motor. It runs on rails and is on a different level with driving compared to the other cars we have. It ignited a desire to move to 1/8 buggy for cars so I picked up a Hobao SSE which runs on a MAX 8, It is very siimlar to the RC8 which is great achievement considering the price difference. You just cant show the quality of the RC8 online, its a great car for sure.

    • @ChriswithaCrc
      @ChriswithaCrc  12 дней назад

      Completely agree with you-there’s something next level about these 1/8 scale buggies like the RC8 B3.2. It’s amazing how precise and planted they feel, and it’s awesome to hear you’re running yours with the XR8 ESC and 2200KV motor-that’s a killer setup! The Hobao SSE sounds like a solid choice too, especially for the price point. You're absolutely right, the online pictures don’t do justice to the quality and engineering of the RC8-it’s one of those rigs you have to experience firsthand to appreciate fully. Thanks for sharing your setup and thoughts-sounds like we’re both hooked on 1/8 scale life!
      Stay awesome

    Wow, nice rc. I was after one of this and found a Mugen Seiki Mbx5 I thought I could have some fun until I get the AE. ... I still have the mbx5 and haven't broke anything yet but only run it at 60mph gearing and 4s. I might get back on the search for the ae then

    I've always thought buying a used racing buggy (in ok shape) was a better buy than newer basher only buggies. The tolerances/slop is much better and most have 7075 aluminum. Usually there is a bit of chassis wear and diffs have to be rebuilt/outdrives can be worn. The only reservation I had was that these cars were meant to handing and are stiffer/lighter weight - so having a 6s system and giant jumps may not be ideal - but their handling is killer. To date, my favorite class is still 4wd buggies but they need smoother terrain to run.

    • @ChriswithaCrc
      @ChriswithaCrc  8 дней назад +1

      Absolutely agree! A used racing buggy is such a smart choice-those tighter tolerances, 7075 aluminum parts, and overall build quality are hard to beat, even compared to newer bashers. While they might not be built for the abuse of massive 6S jumps, they shine in handling and precision. I think you nailed it when you said they excel on smoother terrain; that’s where they really come alive. 4WD buggies are an absolute blast, especially when you’re after that razor-sharp control. Thanks for sharing your insight-I can totally see why they’re still your favorite class!
      Stay awesome buddy
      Chris :)

      @ChriswithaCrc yep I still prefer my dex8 compared to my typhon 6s in terms of handling and the parts are mostly interchangeable. Have not bought new 8th buggy since the hb e817 but the latest associated with the saddle pack looks cool and different. To tell you the truth I drive my older typhon 3s (upgraded to 4s) the most. Need to fix up the slop but with a good servo it is the closest I can get to the lightweight/responsive feel of a 1/10 4wd in a larger package that can handle the terrain. I think the slipper clutch may also have something to do with this!
