Yes 👍 Tru Glo sights are very well built and last for several years at a very decent price point.
Most edc/ccw situations are going to happen so quick and so fast the last thing u r going to be thinking about is if your flashlight has enough lumens. Having a flashlight and activating it period will be the last thing on your mind. Your 43X is beautiful. Love to see you shooting that beauty and showing us how well those mags work.
This is exactly why I took my tlr6 off and put some truglo day/night sights also using the raven vanguard, I am liking it a lot .
@@thomasdamiano8260 Man awesome choice on those sights for sure! I love those. I have a flashlight (tlr7) on my h&k vp9, which is my bedside gun. And thats the only reason I have a flashlight on it because its one of the home/bedside guns. On my carry, Its not even a thought to put a flashlight on it. Things happen way too fast in those situations Opinions vary of course. How do u like the vanguard?
I follow the 3x3x3 Rule mindset. That a armed citizen, ccw type lethal force event; not a 🚔 or military will be; in about 3sec or less, have about 3 rounds fired in total(both sides), be at a approx range of 3ft. Some cadre, trainers say 3yd 🤔. You MIGHT be able to use a white light or turn on a laser switch but I'd agree a use of force event might end in 2-3sec.

I agree with your statement on the flash light. I'm a 3× combat vet. Two things will happen "IF"!!!!!..... you can even get your gun in hand and finger on the trigger. You'll fire off rounds like an1890's gattlin' gun and you might shit your pants.

On my Glock 43x MOS, I installed Night Fision sights suppressor height because later on I will probably install a Holosun but these sights are nice, installed Talon grips and a TLR 7 sub, and I carry it in a JX Tactical Fat Guy holster don’t let the name discouraged you it’s not only for heavy set guys.
No wonder I haven't been able to buy any S15's for over a year, YOU FUCKING BOUGHT THEM ALL UP.
Interesting. My Shield Arms 15 round mags worked right out the box on my 43X. They come flying out.

Just to share I have 43x mos with holosun 407k was finding an issue of night sight hanging off the back of the slide so by trial and error I found out that those truglo tritium sight for a glock 30 are actually perfect if running a red dot like it was meant to be

I am using the Shield Arms S15 mags with my 43X. Other upgrades include Shield Arm's mag catch, Ameriglo i-dot sights, an Overwatch Precision polyDat duty ready trigger and a Ghost connector.
I like the Trijicon HD orange 3 dot sights. Durable, easy to view in low light 🌃. For Glocks, I like to add Glock Store stainless slide locks, Tango Down Slide stop lever, Vickers-Tango Down magazine release(left hand use). I sometimes drop in Glock Store NP3 coated 3.5lb trigger connector, LWD 🐺 extractor. Depending on the Glock model.

I just got my Glock 43X MOS and love it!! I’m waiting for the streamlight TLR7 SUB 500 lumen to be released on 4/15/2021 already ordered my Holosun 507k and base plate. I can’t find these S15 mags anywhere. Great video 👍🏽
Even though the s15 mags say back ordered you’re still able to order them. Shield arms is pretty much caught up with demand, I ordered mine Saturday and they were shipped to me on Wednesday and received them today (Friday ). I got 3 of them
Now I know where all the s15s went!! 🤣

I’ve been carrying the shield arms mags since the beginning of the year and one of them I carry the most is already showing signs of rust/corrosion. I wear it all day in a stealth gear mini vent core.

They (those S15 aftermarket mags) make my G43X heavier, no thanks. Besides, I
usually can hit my target with one (1) or two (2) shots. _But if you miss a lot_ I can
see the need for the S15 or S20 even.
I agree not sure why you would need a light or red dot for pistol. Close quarters combat doesn’t call for a red dot or light.
@@line6reed I've been in the US Navy using the M1911, combat shotgun, M14, etc. Out in civilian life I have used/owned a lot of guns and the truth of the matter is all these _"upgrades"_ or as I call this _"junk"_ people put on their guns to pimp them out, only helps the aftermarket get rich. They are laughing all the way to the bank.
Respecting to the video maker, heres some facts of todays handgun bullets/magazine capacity:
1. All hand gun calibers are weak at "stopping" power & killing power.
2. The power of your hand gun is your *shot placement.*
3. In almost all real life CCW & self defense shootings 4 to 5 shots are fired on average.
The three (3) best ways in CCW & self defense to be more effective in stopping/killing power is to:
1. practice
2. practice
3. practice
This has very little to do with the modifications you do to your CCW piece or type of handgun/caliber you use.
@@sweetcostarica you can basically say the same thing about upgrades on anything. Most things function fine from the factory. Does not mean you can't improve or customize to your liking. A vehicle can be upgraded with the best parts available but the skill of the driver is what's gonna get the car around the track or down the strip fastest. It does not mean the upgrades are "junk" or "useless. Same with guns
@@soneji-ml5fp performance upgrades are one thing. Overpriced aftermarket extended mags and a flashlight DO NOT enhance performance. Maybe if he got a drop in trigger kit, upgraded barrel/slide it wouldn’t be considered “junk” upgrades.
Great video man. How has your 43x held up so far? I just ordered my Glock 43x MOS online and I'm waiting for it to ship to my local gun store. If I want to use the Shield Arm mags in my 43x, I just have to buy the mags and the metal button release correct? No springs or anything?

The stock mag release in the 43x is aluminum also. The shield mag release is steel which will not wear with the steel mags over time. I didn’t know about the TLR-6 and how it fits without the rail. That’s pretty cool.

@@ryanlangley7762 go scratch one and get back to me. They are painted aluminum. The steel mag release is still required because the steel mags are too hard for aluminum. But you are wrong, mine was aluminum and so are every other 43x.

Got my s15 mags and mag release in the way. Upg iron sights and stream light are the final additions after that
True glow sights. Well , I changed to the XS night sights. Which are still tritium but the front has bright orange ring around the tritium. Much better distinguished sight picture . Just sayn

All you need is a maximum of 15 rounds to protect yourself in most situations, so leave your mag in the gun as tight as it should be. If you require more rounds you suck as a shooter and are in the wrong spot-situation to have a pistol instead of an AR. Second by adding a light to your pistol, you make yourself a clearer target to an assailant in your home or behind an obstacle. The Trijicon HD or Trueglo sites are enough and blackout the rear sight-dots... All you need to focus on is the front sight (at night) ......In a dark situation your eyes adjust to total darkness .....
Train and Train and shoot in darkness .... That's the key to be prepared when it really happens .
I agree with the latter of your comment. But the all you need is 15 rounds maximum to protect yourself in" MOST" SITUATIONS IS PRECARIOUS. have you ever lived inside of a city that currently has a riot? Only need 15 rounds huh? Ah but that situational, I should be carrying a rifle down the street? Which is also against the law to do in the middle of the city. Always bring a backup magazine in my opinion. That's the whole point of an automatic pistol. It's easy to carry and conceal a pistol that has high capacity that you can reload easily and fast. The whole reason the military invented them was so you could reload them fast, versus a revolver. They weren't even high capacity at the time.
Guess you must be the expert since every special ops team from navy seals to swat carry lights on their weapons?

Mag shortage,, Gen 2... shield is playing the game. Been on a waiting list for two months, but the charges on my card went through perfectly fine.

Some great suggestions! Question: I've heard that, in the context of mags vs mag release, plastic on plastic is fine, metal on metal is fine, but to mix is bad. So, once you swap in the metal mag release, does it chew up your stock plastic mags?
That's what I've been hearing...a LOT.
Yes you need a steel mag release I have the tyrant one he has in his. It’s aluminum and it has been chipping away and now drops mags. Make sure you get steel if you run the shield mags
I have put over 1,700 rounds through my 1st 43x, 98% through shield mags (2nd Gen) with the stock release. I haven't had any problems. I will eventually take out the mag release to inspect it, but so far everything is fine.
Basically, seems like Shield Arms has released a defective product from the start.
The 43x comes with two, 10-round mags that have no issue with the OEM plastic mag release. That’s a total of 20. ✅
Add the Shield Arms to the mix, with a 15-round mag, but you then lose confidence in, and basically, the use of the 10-round Glock mags; it is only a matter of time before the plastic mag release breaks.
So, you now have one 15-round mag.
I have since purchased one 15rnd SA mag, done the release swap, and haven't looked back. Never a problem with mine, so far. Ymmv.
Swapping out the mag release is a 5 minute issue, tops. You just need needle nose pliers.
I was thinking about getting the G43X or the Sig p365, the G43X is bigger but herd the safety is weird
Glock 43X is a great choice for EDC and home defense I would say also the Sig P365 is very decent for both really you good ether way. Thanks for watching good luck with the new purchase.

Why can’t SA make polymer mags so we don’t hve to deal with this release change bs? How much more expensive could it be? and obviously people would buy them.
I agree with you there it's possible an insert on the front where that fold is at. It perfect for a polymer insert like a sideways lancer mag up and down instead of just the top.

Trying to get everything in one place is the problem with the 43x
Are the base plates on your s15 mags uneven? I noticed on mine the right side of the mag is longer then the leftside. Its really noticeable when the mag is in the gun.
I will double check mine I did open up the magazine well on my G43X. Have you heated/opened up the mag well on your gun yet?

Mine works fine. The gap between the base plate and the magwell of the gun is different gap on left side vs right side of gun. Looks like the magazine itself is longer on one side

The 42.00 mag is what's killing it for me. I might just go with the glock 45 or the 19. Of I wanted to spend that much on a mag I'll just go buy a fn 509 c 15rd mag lol

How is that stupid, it's the capacity of the stock mag, I'd prefer to have more than 10 rounds so instead of buying a gun I have to buy after market mags on to get to 15 I'd rather carry a 19, 45, or 17.

They function great. I’ve had then since beginning of year with 0 problems. Might be worth waiting a little longer though cause I think they will be releasing them with a more durable finish. The one I carry everyday is starting to show rust and corrosion in a few spots

I’m not educated on this just asking I believe I heard that the metal magazine release will damage the factory Glock mags or is that only steal magazine releases yours is aluminum so I’m not sure I’m interested in it
Yes there will be wear on the polymer outside of the factory magazines vs aluminum magazine release/catch. Any time you have harder surface moving/rubbing against softer material the soft components wear. That being said AR-15 metal magazine catches also wear polymer magazines in the same way it's a long drawn out process not an overnight thing. Long story short buy a few range/training mags and have carry few dedicated magazines that only stay in your EDC. Thanks for watching I hope this helps.

That's true just seems like a accident waiting to happen if you buy the 15 rdrs you have to buy a different mag release too if you use factory mags they will become damaged it's better not to use 10 rdrs because in time it will make the weapon malfunction from what I understand.
