    I love the way this video starts "So you've bought the tlr7 and need to know what your holster options are" because like myself I believe most people bought the tlr7 without picking out a holster first lol.

    I ordered this recently. I LOVE everything about it EXCEPT when I re holster it does not slide in smooth. It catches the edges on the appendix rig. I was practicing my draw about 300ish times through out the day to see if its just a “break in” issue and its still happening. Im still gonna carry it because its the most comfortable holster i have. But thats the only hiccup, i give it a 9 out of 10 👌

    Just got my M6 Radius (Gen4 G19 w/Baldr Mini" in a couple days ago, and Absolutely loving it thus far! I will be doing a review as soon as I get my Ulticlips in here shortly to complete the set up. I was wondering what the bump was on the inner side at the front serrations for. I had figured it was too keep the hot barrel away and or add extra pressure to the body to counter push the pistol grip in, and that's basicly what you confirmed here, love it. I got the single mag pouch but should have purchased the KA-BAR TDI pouch as well to complete the load out. I suppose I will get that shortly. Speaking of Radius optional accessories you spoke of on another video, I would like to see an adjustable suppressor pouch as an accessory since here in Texas we just fully deregulated "Texas Made" suppressors(well soon as of September 1st). This way I could keep one on me at the range/ranch ready to go but not mounted on the pistol. I would also very much like to see a Strike 80 holster offered from you so I could inter change my Radius options to carry my custom Glock as well. Keep up the great Ingenuity and products.

      Jason, thanks for the excellent comments! We have tossed around some thoughts on suppressor holsters, but haven't dedicated the design time to it yet. And yes, the "bump" has a couple additional benefits that you mentioned -- glad to see that it was intuitive for you.

    Would really appreciate a good look at the gap between the holster and the trigger.
    I’ve found a fair amount of holsters that support weapon lights have *much* too large of a gap than I am comfortable with. Especially for inside the wasteland.
    I have no doubt these holsters are high quality, and appreciate their feature sets.
    But without getting a good view around the trigger area I couldn’t pull this trigger on one. Pun intended.
    I am very interested though.
    If anyone has one of these and could let me know how theirs is I’d appreciate it.

    Best holsters by far. I bought from Tier 1 and La Concealment for my 43x Mos and and my 43x would not get that click for retention and they blamed it because I had stippling done on my handle which is a bunch of bullshit. With Werkz I had no problem at all. If you want the best holsters definitely buy from Werkz.

      Hey Dan thanks for the feedback! We do spend a ton of time to get that tactile (and hopefully audible too) conformation upon reholstering. I have to say that the TLR-7s (including subs) are super hard to get just right. We have revised the molds for the Subs a bunch of times... too many to count. And, to your point, light bearing holsters shouldn't retain on the frame... they should retain on the light. Blessings!

    I wish you would make holster that is just for the Glock 43x. I appendix carry. I hate the extra length on the holster. There is a reason some people chose the 43x over the 48.The shorter slide is more comfortable. Having a 48 holster defeats the purpose.

    Make separate holsters for the 43X/43X MOS. Also, make the 43X MOS/48 MOS holsters compatible with the Surefire XSC light, as this is also compatible with those Glock models. So basically, have a holster for each weapon, with and without lights/sights, so we can have a holster specific to what we carry.

      Irwin, there are too many 3rd party rails for the G43x (and other pistols) out there, leading to massive customer confusion and support issues. If a customer doesn't have the --exact-- configuration we build for, they end up unhappy, and making clear notes in the description doesn't mitigate that issue. The current decision is to avoid the issue altogether.

You can find dozens of open carry videos where someone just snatches the gun right out of a person’s holster. As well as find videos of bad guys not being able to remove a cops gun from the holster due to active retention.

    • @WerkzHolsters
      @WerkzHolsters  Год назад

      Joey, I guess by "no option to ride lower" you mean you don't want to try the deep carry position of the belt clip (you have to remove the clip and reposition screws), and you don't want to purchase c-hooks which can let it ride even lower. I’ve been carrying off duty daily for almost thirty years. I’ve tried almost every method of carry and can’t for the life of me understand how people IWB and appendix carry. How do you sit down, drive, etc? It’s THE most uncomfortable method of carry I’ve experienced.

    • @LegendaryZG
      @LegendaryZG 3 года назад +2

      I’m pretty new to guns, got my first carry pistol and have been since March of 2020 at 22 years of age. I have been strictly appendix knew it before I started carrying. However, the trick is what belt are you using? A traditional 5 hole belt won’t do you any good. I use a kore essentials tactical belt. Worth the money because it allows you to adjust it with the switch of a lever. So right before I sit down I relieve some of the pressure and right when I get up I adjust my belt tighter. It’s a game changer. Look into it 👍🏼👍🏼

    • @OTG_Zulu
      @OTG_Zulu 3 года назад

      First time I concealed the big iron was appendix and haven’t looked back. You’ve got to put the muzzle either on the fupa or just next to it on the inside of the leg where it bends. Confusing to explain but in practice it’s really simple. If you’re a bigger dude longer guns are better because they bridge the 300th parallel and the fupa, but depending on the severity of your dunlap syndrome you may have more or less grip printing. If done correctly the gun will stay vertical in all movements. The only time you’ll get a hotspot is when you try to bend way down to pick up the chicken tendy you dropped on your last combat tour to the fridge bf you RTB, aka your moms basement.

    I’m torn on having this exact 43x set up with the light and Suarez compensator, which would make it as long as the 48 except it would have less barrel length making it less accurate but possibly better recoil than the 48. Versus getting the 48 which is more accurate but I wouldn’t use the comp on it which would give more recoil. Any suggestions on which one to pick when factoring these in?

    • @WerkzHolsters
      @WerkzHolsters  3 года назад +7

      My opinion is that all modern semi-auto pistols from reputable manufacturers outshoot the operators. The biggest thing most of us can do to increase accuracy is to add an optic. I don't find the recoil on the g43x or g48 that bad either way, but that comp may contribute to faster follow-up shots, especially with high power ammunition. I'm currently planning on changing my EDC from a G34 to a G19x with a comp. I say run what you like... most pistols will outshoot you unless you're shooting multiple thousand rounds per year. Not sure if that helps. The Internet is full of opinions... hopefully mine is not terribly biased.

      @@WerkzHolsters love the opinion. I like the 43x idea because for a cary gun it will allow for faster fallow up shots. But I also like the accuracy of the 48 barrel length more for plinking around out to 50 and 100 yards. Did you find the 43x to have less recoil while comped more than the 48?
      P.S. I’ll be getting the 507k and I’ll be using the 2 moa dot with out the ring around it. Which is why I don’t know what barrel length to pick

      @@CadenMichnal If you're accurate to 50-100 yards using a subcompact, then you're toward the advanced end of shooting. I've not shot the G43x MOS / comp side-by-side with the G48, though I'll probably do that in the coming weeks to compare recoil as well as any low light visibility differences. At minute 0:24 of this video, you see the 43x with LTR-7 sub light which sticks out of the barrel. The rest of the video demonstrates the 48. That’s why the barrel sticks out in the rest of the video, which makes sense. I hope this helps!

      @WerkzHolsters  2 года назад

      I'm sorry to hear that this is your experience. The holster should be the thinnest we can get with the clip mount and by utilizing a more robust .093 plastic shell. So, the area between the belt and the inside of the holster should be pretty minimal. We integrate a -small- bump on the muzzle to help angle the grip of the pistol into the body, and we have a claw to help twist the grip into the body, both reducing print significantly. The holster has to allow the light to travel in & out, so no way to narrow that up. Not sure which dimension you want "thinner" so I'm not sure what to tell you. We do offer money back guarantee on holsters purchased from us. so contact customer service if you're within the return window. Blessings!

    • @WerkzHolsters

      Regarding the frame, likely not. If the rail is positioned at all differently than Glock's then the pistol & light combination will bind when inserting. Looks like the HMC9 frame drops that rail down versus Glock, so I doubt it. Regarding the Enigma, we do not specifically test or guarantee compatibility with the Enigma. That said, we have tried holsters in house with it, and it seems to fit our hole mounting systems just fine. You may wish to remove the claw on a small / subcompact pistol. Hope that helps!
