    I totally agree with you regarding paying for a rental. I rented a car at $230 per week and I did this for almost 8 months. However, I recently stopped renting and started using my car. I recently bought a Honda Civic with very low mileage of 12,130. I don't regret I rented a car for 8 months: first a Chevy Malibu, then a Hyundai Ionic Hybrid, then a Kia Soul Hybrid, and lastly a Kia Niro Hybrid. I really enjoyed the Kia Niro Hybrid. In a few months, I plan on buying a used Kia Niro Hybrid. From now on, I plan to drive part-time. I drive for both Uber and Lyft. I recently purchased a VanTrue 4 dashcam (May 11, 2021), and I noticed that my passengers act differently once they see the camera, most act more conservative which is fine with me. I'll post my video on my channel. Good luck and a great weekend to everyone. Yes, I agree that discipline is very important: your food intake, your exercise, sleep, etc. Driving every day can wear you down but if you take breaks, exercise, and get enough sleep you can actually enjoy it. Be safe out there. 👍

    It's a business expense. Think like your renting a building for a business. Sometimes you don't wanna own just buy a building. So the 1400 a month I rent has to be justified by the income. Even at about 320 a week rental , I can justify that making 1k weekly

    The thing I LOVE about your channel and content is THE DETAILS you go into. The math is right. I'm am ex mechanic and I can promise you that you will get 4 years maximum of good mileage out of a vehicle driving full time before MAJLR issue start happening. I'm talking major repairs and the car wont feel great t to drive. Cars are the single worst investment anyone can make. These rental programs really aren't a bad deal because of the insurance, maintenance, unlimited miles, return the car anytime get another car anytime. I dog the hell put of rental cars so I may never buy another car again.

    Drove the whole 12hrs a few times up in Jersey completed about 15 trips for Uber eats and 11 x was tired af but came home with about $350. Was worth it…the next day I started late to rest up and went back out for another 10hrs. If your going to drive long days make sure it’s worth it Friday’s and the weekends are the best to maximize your hrs on the road atleast for my area. Did 10-12 hrs Memorial Day weekend each day and made close to $1k and took 2 days off to recover after. You can take a day or two off when you’re out rolling for a few days because you make your money. You’re a beast bro appreciate your content how do you make out in the snow is Massachusetts? I was out there helping a hospital for my old job near Boston and it snowed like 20 inches and people were on the road like it was nothing…we get snow obviously in Jersey but usually not like that.

      Hey great comment here! Thank you so much for sharing. Love that strategy and totally agree. "Get it while it's hot" If the bonus is good and the surge is poppin I'm staying out and making as much as I can. It does take it's toll so yes, take some time off to recover.
      The snow is good man, surge is usually poppin when the snow falls. Good time to drive. One good story is when the snow fell overnight in Boston, but all the snow froze and all the cars were frozen in snow. NO ONE could get their car out for work and the whole city was surging double digits for 3 hour straight. Made $400 in the morning, incredible.

    I know first-hand what its like to maintain your vehicle for Uber - I have a 2014 Nissan Rogue and already I have to pay for a gear transfer case that hit me for 1500 out of pocket. I am seriously considering renting a car for Uber until I can get back into my actual career. Love your content man. I’m going to start doing Uber for my first time in jersey soon. When I heard about the rental program I was hesitant because the weekly pay is $260 to rent the car and I’m sure with the insurance it’ll bump it up. I realized I wasn’t going to save enough money even if I made $1k a week because I’ll have to think about the tolls and gas I’ll be spending on a daily basis. Then I forgot there’s promotions which can literally help us drivers earn more and save more money on the side. Your video had fully convinced me to sign up for the program. I was able to make $150 a day just with ubereats alone now, but is very limited at some days due to the market. Multi apping is def the way to make atleast over $20 an hour. That way when I deliver, I have another order to go to right away. But of course I have to make sure the order is a good one. The point of it is that it keeps you busy constantly. 😁

I'm considering driving for Uber as a side gig but I am now starting to develop OAB (over-active bladder). I know there are some life-style changes I can make to help keep it under control which I'll have to figure out before trying to Uber for a week on a rental. This really sucks as it could be a nightmare trying to focus on your driving while having the urge to 'go'.

It’s harder when you’re driving passengers around to neighborhoods but as far as Uber eats , it’s allowed me to stop as many times as I can during deliveries. There’s also a pit stop button on the app so it finds all the gas stations and other stores in close proximity with restrooms to use 😌👍🏽 I hope this helps!

      DEPENDING ON YOUR MARKET AND EXPENSES, THEY WILL LIKELY PUSH YOU INTO A TESLA. YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED TO BE IN YOUR RENTAL FOR ABOUT 60 HOURS/WK. AT LEAST FOR STARTERS. ONCE YOU LEARN YOUR MARKET, THE TRICKS OF THE TRADE, AND YOUR CAPABILITIES YOU CAN PROBABLY CUT THAT DOWN SOME. PLUS IT IS NICE TO DRIVE A TESLA, ESPECIALLY ONCE YOU LEARN MORE AND MORE OF WHAT IT HAS TO OFFER. THIS OF COURSE DEPENDS ON THE AVAILABILITY OF CHARGING STATIONS, ESPECIALLY SUPERCHARGERS TO AVOID USING UP TIME/MONEY ON SLOW CHARGERS. ALSO CHEAPER TO CHARGE OFF-PEAK BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 4AM, BUT CAN PUT AT LEAST A HUNDRED MILE CHARGE FOR LESS THAN GAS IN ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES ANYWHERE YOU CAN CHARGE...AND THE TESLA WILL DIRECT YOU THERE. SELECT "NAVIGATE TO CHARGE" TO NOT ONLY FIND A STATION BUT THIS ALSO PREPARES THE TESLA TO CHARGE QUICKER. ONE OF SO MANY WONDERFUL FEATURES.

I'm consuming as much advice and tips from sources like yourself before even trying to make money through Uber. The more I know before turning on my Uber app and accepting my first ride, the better. Thank you for the valuable information!

      Thank you so much, I really appreciate you sharing. I used to live in Vegas for a bit before coming back to MA. I would have to think that doing XL would be good out there, lots of groups going out. Just don't know if you can rent an XL vehicle.
      The video gig sounds good too. Where do you get your clients for that business?

      I will be doing the same probably. As i will be returning to IN on tje 13th. Currently in thailand. I was back in the US for few months in 2017 before my mom passed away. But didnt have enough time with her so she could change her house and everything out of the trust and directly to me. And her brother sold everything making sure that i had nothing if i returned which he was 1 of the trustee. He told the other at the time that i said to sell the house because ill never return. Which was not true as i wanted to rent it out till i return. So i will be returning with no car or place to live. I could probably force the trust throufb the courts to buy me a new house since it is in the legal writings that the trust has to act in the best interest of me. Which buy selling the house and car clearly was not trying to make it so i cant return or if i do return with nothing. Over 10 years in asia so credit not going to be as good as it could be amd also no job. So getting a place not be easy especially when can only show 1,100 month income coming from the trust. Though im being reasonable and as long as the current trustees get me into a rent to owm house ill call it even. As its not my house that holds all my memories with my parents which is priceless. But its still a house. I will also be going back to study to become a nurse as well.

      I DO NOT KNOW THIS AS FACT BUT HAVE HEARD THAT IF ONE IS JUST RENTING THROUGH UBER/LYFT FOR THE DISCOUNT THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO DO AT LEAST A HALF DOZEN RIDES TO AVOID BEING FLAGGED(ALTHOUGH THEY MAY NOT CATCH IT), WHICH WOULD REVOKE THE DISCOUNT AND POSSIBLY LEAD TO MORE FEES AS WELL AS PENALIZE YOU WITH UBER/LYFT.

    Do you decline rides from certain neighborhoods? I live in Youngstown, OH and there are some really shady places you don't want to be at night. We had a Domino's Pizza driver get robbed at gun point just down the road from my house a few weeks ago. Could you address driver safety in one of your videos? I know you use a camera, but do you decline rides from certain areas or times for your safety? Do you carry a weapon? I've seen the "uber drive gets assaulted" video from your channel. Do you not pick up rides from bars or stop doing rides at bar closing times. It would probably be better for safety and drama/hassle reasons to not pick up the 2am crowd, but you probably leave a lot of money on the table....what do you think?

    • @TheRideshareHustle
      @TheRideshareHustle  3 года назад +4

      Great question here. Yes, safety first. Money doesn't matter when you're in danger. I will most certainly decline rides in bad neighborhoods, turn off the app and get back to a safe neighborhood. Nothing but trouble after 2am

Medical expenses without insurance could be highly costly. It's been going good so far. As I comment I made $464 today. Granted Uber has been screwing me over with the outside city trips. As well as my set destination continues to experience issues. I've reported about it over 5 times now and yet nothing is resolved.
