Honestly, Bane is a pretty good counter for Dr. Fate. He has grab moves, armor moves, charge moves, and throw moves. All of these keep Bane close to Dr. Fate and keep them both in a corner. Although, it is obvious that Dr. Fate does a lot of damage with his range attacks that chip through armor and he can pretty easily dodge Bane's charge attack, unless Bane can stop midway, but either way, it's an interesting match up. I would say a really good Bane player can beat a really good Dr. Fate player if they use the correct strategy. Zoning can be pretty annoying to fight against, but it's not impossible. Both characters have their advantages over each other.
If they nerf fates df1 I hope they can balance him by giving him more use with ankhs and less recovery frames on his anti interactable special and maybe less recovery on his health and damage auras

Erick Sulimen debuff doesn’t really matter against a zoner since they usually wont be getting off any big combos. Plus level 3 venom charged cant be armored through and its safe on block.
