Stone Island created their clothing for football hooligans such as the use of Kevlar to protect against getting slashed with craft knives. My personal favourite is the Riot Jacket which had a flap on each side of the hood that could be buttoned up and completely hide the face. CP Company is also designed giving a nod to football violence and started with the Goggle Jacket, hoodies and hats as the goggles could be used to disguise the face thus the police could not recognise the person especially when there are huge mobs using the goggles. These 2 labels are the creme de la creme of designer clothing with no one coming close. I love both as they are so good looking and the fit is perfect.
If you have followed a football club at any time since the early 80s and attended away games you will know what I'm talking about. If you were wearing Stone Island CP Company Armani etc getting off the train, bus,car you would be approached by someone asking for the time. This was to check your accent and as I follow Cardiff City my Welsh accent shone through and 2 things could happen. You would either have an off there and then or you would be asked how many boys who were up for a row and how many there were. If you answered oh there's about 20 of us we would then agree on a meeting place and gather all your casuals together in the pub and make our way to the designated place and have a massive brawl until Old Bill turned up. You could never get away with it these days because the police are actually clued up and stop anything before it happens with spotters in the crowd and the use of video. That's why Stone Island made jackets such as the Riot Jacket which had flaps attached to the hood that could be used to cover the face.CP Company created the Goggle jackets,hats and hoodies that could also keep your identity secret. I love the clothes and always have following Manchester United during my school days and Cardiff City when I left school.
