I agree with everything you said, however, be aware that playing in a free weekend is not exactly conclusive as to what the game actually is like. he didnt take into account that there are a lot of players who are clueless or dont work as a team and that a lot of the admins on the main servers are power hungry with a chip on their shoulders.
this was my biggest problem with the game, and i think is indicative of their target audience. they have designed their way into trying to be a middle ground between CoD and Arma, and have simultaneously saddled the community itself with server setup, upkeep, and administration while offering no true "official" servers to play on. Arma succeeds at this because its aim is to be a powerful simulation engine that gives players a sandbox to play in, while CoD succeeds on the other end because it is nearly ALL official servers run and administered by Activision and is extremely easy to pick up and play. OWI is trying to poach the best of both worlds to minimize their overhead while overpromising on the capability of what the game can actually deliver because they have no "official" yardstick to measure it by. This leaves a power vacuum that certain types of server admins are all to happy to fill for their own benefit, and it illustrates why player counts are down nearly 50% since their peak.

See you on the battlefield 😎
@@A_Honcho Yes sir.
Just enlist, go on a couple of tours, come back with most body parts still intact, and get the game for free...
PTSD included
I started playing tarkov and this seem like a more chill shooter
Its more chill in some ways. more PTSD in others
Thanx, your video is well descriptive.
No problem!
i loved playing this game a few years ago, Quite tempted to come back and play it some more
Do it
This video gave me nostalgia from watching ark tutorials
Didn’t know this game existed.
And now you do
I bought the game and the entire time I was in the game. I was just in loading screens and I was only able to load into one singular game with the 4 to 5 hours I had playtime.
I love your videos hancho keep up the good work 👍 and as a member of the squad community I welcome all new blueberries
Thanks dude 🙌
Backed it on KS have almost 1500 hours. Worth.
Coming over from cod, wish me luck haha
You'll love it after you uninstall and reinstall it for the 5th time 😂
its also one of the funnest games I played with proxy chat
100%!
7:42 The best part is, it's not even 60 dollars :)
It is in Canada 🍁
so glad i got this game on sale
Always a saving to be had somewhere!
Super worth it! Squad is for mature players
I'm not that mature 😂
@@A_Honcho its a compliment haha means mature mindset.. this game is not fast pace like COD this game require alot of teamwork and patience
@@pour-g8677 u cant even do a road kill in the game. Ramp the guy and drag him under the truck, he still standing.
So realistic ???
@@leungkasanit's not a game trying to be fully realistic but is much more realistic game than say bf2042 or Call of Duty. That's something that will probably be patched in the future, not a game breaking thing.
Short answer: Yes!
Long answer: Yeeeeeeeeessssssss!!!
110% worth it. 1200 hrs played
🙌
thank you so much for this video 👍👍
Any time 🤘
if you play on public servers do you need to talk on the mic? is it required?
Basically required.
I am currently addicted to squad. The game is good.
🙌
i would love to know if there would be a sale on steam for this game maybe in the summer i'm not sure if i should wait till a sale or to buy it right now.
Squad normally goes on sale 2-3 times a year.
@@A_Honcho that isn't a lot, how many times has it been on sale this year? And does it usually go on sale on summer?
On sale for 25% off currently!!
I am looking at getting the game but only know about 6 other people that are also interested in it. Does a squad have to be played with 9 people or can it be less?
A squad in Squad can consist of 1 - 9 people.
does a lot of PPL still play it?...I'm about to buy this
Yea, the games still got a good thriving player base and plenty of full servers!
I never played this game but I watched clips of this game it's literally like in real life
What is the song at 5:00 again? I forgot the name, its so good.
I really want this to come to console 😢😢
I’m glad I bought it for $40 in early access.
Serious question: how often have you run into trolls/toxic players on squad. That is the main reason I have not bought the game yet
They’re pretty rare, in about 80 hours of playtime I’ve ran into maybe two.
@@matthewjones39 Teamkilling will happen but it's 99% of the time not intentional. People typically don't mess around with team kill trolling because it's a quick way to get banned from a server. Other than that, you'll get a bit of fun trolling like a friendly intentionally runs you over in a vic, but getting run over doesn't kill you in this game, so you laugh it off and continue on.
As for toxic players... Players in your Squad will typically be chill. If there is going to be any toxicity, it will be in Command chat from time to time. As long as you don't Squad Lead, you really don't have to worry about listening to toxic banter in command chat.
In my 990 hours in Squad, I've really only had one toxic Squad leader. Can't think of a single time I've had a really toxic squad mate or random player from another squad in all honesty.
How many playhours should i have to play as a squadleader?
When you feel comfortable or confident enough to do it. Check out my Squad Leader guide to give you an idea of just how easy it can be 🙌
Yes it is, but too bad after that new update it now only crashes on start up for me...
Hopefully Wednesday patch fixes it!
@@A_Honcho amen lol might have to reinstall!
I bought this game a couple weeks back, any game I join on UK servers, everyone is just speaking Russian, can't understand anything that's going on
Look for Dead on Dismount. It's my server. It is hosted in East Coast US but I'm from the UK and have 0 issues 🙌
What's the song at the beginning of the video?
It's from my band Eversio - our EP will be finished soon 👀
YES
Should be mandatory to play this game with a mic lol
I think people are worried it ends up like Rust VOIP 😂
Every time I load up the game it says steam is currently offline. After restarting the game a whole bunch of times I only got to play it once. Can anyone help me fix this please
We definitely need more SL’s
If more people watched my SL guide we'd have more 👀😂
Before Tencent bought 40 percent of its shares, yes it was.
I dont know how 1 seat on the board makes 40% of their shares, but Ok Bud
Would you pick Hell Let Loose over Squad? Im struggling what to buy..
I preffer the more modern / current era of things, I'm not a massive WW2 shooter fan
I have one question is it avalable on Xbox x ?
Unfortunately not
i recently got squad, but the servers on the servers tab wont load
Glad I bought it for 20 bucks back in 2017 ❤
I’m saving up for the emotes, and then it will finally be worth it.
if your bored and want team work and fun team pushes get squad, and join a good server
Squad is the most scared I've ever been in a fps game
this should be a steam review!
Can we just say people pay up to $100ausd for games so like this game is pretty cheap for the what the performance of the game and how realistic it is, so I reckon it a bang for your buck.
Squad is $37.49 on steam and ends Oct 7th 👍
Now I want to buy this game. Thanks man!
*One of us. One of us*
Squad is so fun. 6 year vet
💪
PLEASE if you do plan on buying this game
just run infantry for a while
dont do vehicles until youve learned armor layouts and where to shoot on them
and PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS
the community is one of the best when it comes to giving help and tips and tricks so just ask.. no such thing as a stupid question.. I had a guy with 300 hours asked how i rotated objects and i gave him FTL to just teach him how to do it (its simple) and at 300 hours you might still not learn everything there is to know
Ive been playing since 2017 and I learn something everyday 🤣
Hello can squad play like sandbox? Honestly i dont have a mic to comunicate if its just multiplayer
Not really no, there may be some mods for it but that's not what Squads about in all honesty
Not gonna lie I always end up playing MEE or the zombie, Star Wars and Starship troopers servers
I really need to give that zombie mod a go
@@A_Honcho ripolmacy got the kinks worked out for it a bit ago; it’s the closest mode in squad where you can genuinely hop in for a game and it’s over in less then half n hour.
Got it years ago for 25$ on sale
One of the best servers to play on is The Potato Fields
I want to play squad but I’m to scared to talk
So basically Hell Let Loose but modern war.
And Bigger. And Better. But yes,
If people stopped paying these amounts and wayted for price drops would make the greedy seller a reality check
whats the song from the intro?
People on Steam reviews have been saying the game is not the same anymore because the developers are not listening to the community, and are turning the game into Fortnite?
Honestly, it's the exact opposite.
The people that leave reviews like that are the kind of people that only play Reddit.
Granted Squad isn't a perfect game, it's certainly heading in teh right direction
Solid video, thank you.
he didnt take into account that there are a lot of players who are clueless or dont work as a team and that a lot of the admins on the main servers are power hungry with a chip on their shoulders.
this was my biggest problem with the game, and i think is indicative of their target audience. they have designed their way into trying to be a middle ground between CoD and Arma, and have simultaneously saddled the community itself with server setup, upkeep, and administration while offering no true "official" servers to play on.
Lowe Extension
its 50 $ now, so im sure it is worth it now
It need to come to console
I'd love to see it, but there's no plans as of yet
