Now after that, he claims that the drug was in the coffe which the doc brought him. It is not like he cannot get a coffe during the match, it is just that a coffe has to be delivered by some1 from his team. So if anything happens after, the blame wont be on officials or tournament staff. And it applies to anything that is not fabricly closed (like a can o cola fe)

Yes covid wise a doctor is riskier, but coffee is not important to the match. if there's a covid spread amongst players and the tournament is cancelled, that can be used by the insurance company to not pay out.
For crying out loud, why not just have somebody place the coffee on the ground at the entrance to the court and let the player pick it up once the delivery person has left? Not that difficult. No touching even needs to take place. What am I missing? Is there some strange rule that a coffee must be delivered from one person directly into the hands of another? I believe most humans have the ability to place things down and also pick things up.

In fairness they can't always hear the mics as well as TV viewers can hear. The Nishioka one was pretty unusual too when he's complaining about not being brought a coffee in the middle of a match. It's not Starbucks.

Yes, if we look at it as a single instance, it may not seem logical. But reasonable players will not normally ask for a physio just to make a point, but only when it is genuinely needed, which is less frequent, and less dependent on their whim than someone’s desire to get a drink. Hence, as a wide strategy of minimizing risk, it makes sense.
