Was fun watching you get ready. When I was a teen we lived in Seattle and went camping with our dirt bikes at least two times a month, When Daddy got paid. We had great times. It wasn’t until I was out and married that I realized how much work it was without Mom and Dad to take care of everything. She would cook ahead, even a desert, make ever meal and have the right clothes for hot, cold and rain. Dad would pack the car and trailer, set up the tent, make the fire, chop the wood, put up the tarp when it rain- rained a lot in fall and winter. They gave us a wonderful life.
I am also a mom of 3 boys. They’re grown now, but I just now realized I’m super grateful they were only ever into hiking and not that bike stuff. The anxiety attack of watching YOUR boys do it is almost too much. Watching MY boys would have ended me. I applaud your metal & fitness! 😅
25 year camper here...I've got a tip. Save your plastic storage containers from the store with screw on lids, I keep all our food in those containers, then you can leave it all summer and not worry about critters. Granola bars, pretzles, chips, etc.
You continually impress me with how strong and fit you are! I'm 52 and have never been athletic but am now working to keep my body moving. I wrote down the Basic Health list you mentioned in your podcast and they are now Goals. I can walk a mile under 20 min and can get off the floor with no hands, the rest I will work on. We’ve owned RVs for years. Once you have a slide, you’ll wonder how you camped before. We’ve never had one “break”. Camping makes wonderful memories for families. I love seeing your adventures. ❤
I had three teenage girls and I swear the ate as much as boys and were always hungry, even right after a full meal. I decided they had black holes instead of stomachs. Just to make me jealous they never gained weight.

The crazy thing is, I’m not scared of heights, I’m scared of falling. I can do super high roller coasters as long as the coaster has a floor. I can’t do loose feet, It freaks me out 😂
My husband and I did the West Rim last year and it was gnarly. When they label it as "strenuous" they mean it. Beautiful view though. I'm glad I pushed through because I almost quit multiple times. I hated the steep swichbacks.
I can’t attach a photo, but hanging shoe storage units that attach to the rod with Velcro flaps (look like a stack of cloth boxes) are great at storing shorts and tee shirts. They come in various lengths. When we turned a small spare bedroom into a home gym, I used them to store my workout clothes in the closet so we would have more free floor space. The ones that attach with Velcro give you more storage space than the ones that attach with hooks.

Oh my gosh we were just talking about the deals at warehouse grocery stores at breakfast. Going to soccer tournaments and stopping at Costco buying a rotisserie chicken and hot bakery bread. Cutting chicken and bread with survival knife and eating out of the back of the SUV. OMG hot chicken and bread. $7 meal for family of 5. Been there done that Christine. Writing companies that works. And raiding M-i-L pantry and freezer. I would cook food and bring her meals. win win. My daughter and S-I-L were talking about all the sandwiches she made every weekday for years. That's how to save and buy a nicer home. Thanks for the memories.
Shoes : cut apart a door shoe hanger into single rows. Staple to bed support under edge of mattress with bottom touching floor so you can slip shoes in at the top.

There’s a reason why no one was on those trails… 106+ degrees in southern Utah desert is no joke. When warnings are issued, it’s wise to heed them. The views are just as impressive in safer conditions. Just my humble opinion.
Yah, we also have no slides. Ours is actually quite small (too small now with a 18yo and 100lb dog 😂 but it has served us well for over 12 years with minimal issues/maintenance

Looks like some pretty awesome memories were made! We are saving our pennies to by a travel trailer, and like you, I'm ONLY looking at ones without slides. Everyone I read, watch, or talk to eventually has leaks around the slides. The layout of your trailer is similar to what I'm looking at. We are now down to camping with only our 3 youngest boys (8, 11, 15), so we don't need one of those ginormous trailers.
We have a camper too. It's small for only the two of us. I just reorganized it today. So funny you have this video up. I bought some bins from DT a few years ago and changed it up a little today with other DT bins. :) I use command hooks for hanging kitchen items by the sink area, and hidden ones to hang hats or sweatshirts. I am taking out the table to give us more room. I will replace it with a different, smaller one. Love the video! P.S. We still use two coolers as the fridge is super small.

I made a spreadsheet of all of the POSSIBLE items we could/would need for our travel trailer. We try to use it monthly (retired). This checklist really helps us not forget things. I can change it as needed. The only thing we’ve forgotten so far is our e-bike batteries 🤦♀️🤬. That’s because it was a new camper, new truck & last minute decision to take the bikes.
Yah campers are junk ha. Sliders def always have issues. Ours had leaks. We only bought a camper to live in while hubs built our home. In it 6-7 months!! Ahhh. Survived though. And thankfully got all our money back we paid for it. Phew. Worst was a septic issue and freakin poo/pee water was leakin down below/something cracked in the holding tank or whatever it is; 🤢 😱 fixed that asap. (Actually the fella we bought it from was so kind to come help! He felt bad!) but yah, water leaking on windows etc. and wasn’t super old and was a nice one. Door down in bathroom, and opposite end/main door. Lots of room. Loved it except all the issues lol. But y’all’s is super cute! Def can be fun! Only if pay cash and have money. 👍

Dollar Tree has some wire coated white metal lightweight risers (shelves) that would fit in some of your storage areas and give you another level of storage space.
Wow, LMNT has a LOT of sodium especially compared to other great electrolyte products on the market. I drink a packet of electrolyte powder in water every day for health symptoms, but these are way too high in salt. 1 packet of LMNT is almost half the daily recommended amount. That's crazy.

You should get a hanging closet organizer to use in the summer. I use that for my everyday clothes works well. Not sure if it would slide out at all. Maybe combine with a bin or something. Or maybe they make zippy hangers? I use each square for an item type.

We used those open stacking bins in the closets of our camper, the ones with little legs that lock on top of each other… we could fit 3 tall and that made the closet into a “dresser” for clothes.
My teenagers love the game Coup. They played it for days when we went to visit my brother in Canada last year, then my daughter got it in her Easter basket when we got back.

Loving all of it! WE chose no slides as well for the same reason. We do have manual flips outs, think tent trailer style bed areas. Gives and extra 12' of length, but shorter when driving. WIN/WIN. Safe travels to you!
My family had slide issues over and over. I wouldn't get one with a slide either. Camping with a fridge, bathroom, and HVAC is the only way to go for me!
The best storage containers I found for our RV were at Aldi and I'll never find them again. Because Aldi.. I think I'd rather have my shoes in that big laundry bin by the bed than overhead. Dirt on your shoes will fall on your sheets. And there's better use for the overhead. Get those soft rope type baskets to put tshirts and shorts and stuff up there. Camping in Idaho and the west is a lot different than FL. That bread would be moldy in a day. :)

After watching this video yesterday, I bought 2 of the organizers for my pantry. They work great in my narrow, small pantry cabinets.
Loving all of it! WE chose no slides as well for the same reason. We do have manual flips outs, think tent trailer style bed areas. Gives and extra 12' of length, but shorter when driving. WIN/WIN. Safe travels to you!
My family had slide issues over and over. I wouldn't get one with a slide either. Camping with a fridge, bathroom, and HVAC is the only way to go for me!

The best storage containers I found for our RV were at Aldi and I'll never find them again. Because Aldi.. I think I'd rather have my shoes in that big laundry bin by the bed than overhead. Dirt on your shoes will fall on your sheets. And there's better use for the overhead. Get those soft rope type baskets to put tshirts and shorts and stuff up there. Camping in Idaho and the west is a lot different than FL. That bread would be moldy in a day. :)

Love that Fairlife chocolate drink. Didn’t know it was in your video as I was drinking one. I think you were the one that turned me on to it. Looks like you are going to have a great time. When the children were little we had a 26’ Coachman bunkhouse. Had so many great times in it.
