That's Fantastic! I am a bit behind on getting my videos edited and uploaded, but I am close to completion. Mine is currently running and ready to go. I have just a few last minute items to get done and it will be in the water!
Inside the “ rubber plungers” in carbs. You will see the long needle rod. The plastic screws attached deep inside loosens back out from vibration. This will cause a lean condition. Check all 3 for tightness
I have had to pull my motor on my ultra 150 because I have a blown head gasket....watching you effortlessly lift the heads, exhaust manifold etc drove me nuts! I'm lucky enough that my motor is fused together. Been soaking everything in PB for days and no further along.....gonna add some heat tomorrow and break it apart. Not many videos on the 1200 tripple so thanks for posting this last year. Lol. Anyone have any tips on how to break these free let me know
Oh man! that sucks! hope you can get it apart and know how frustrating it can be. It sounds like there was some additional bonding agent applied to help in sealing it more than the gaskets. I first had some issues with lifting the cyl jugs off when I didn't know there is a water cooling pipe that connects all jugs together, It was hidden on the back side of them. That was the only issue I had with getting everything apart. It was also a fairly clean engine. Heat should help. Best of luck with that.
Anybody know the position of the motor balancers are suppost to be at forgot to mark them and wasnt paying attention to where they were positioned along with the positions of the pistons at the time they fell out
Thanks for the video, doing the same project and just following along with you.
