I live in a place that has 70% to 90% humidity year round. As of now I have shoulder length hair with a nose length fringe that's growing out. NO PRODUCTS can fight against humidity and my fine dense hair that's flat with a very slight wave at the tips. I have tried so many products and nothing works, I have some pounds from when I had a pixie cut 3 years ago. My goal is your River Phoenix cut from Indiana Jones once my fringe is long enough. I have a nice slight off center part from my widows peak. Channels like yours have taught me to love my hair the way it is and to style with what I have and not force it to do something that I can't do. Thanks so much for all the info!! I love your tutorials the most!
My problem with most products is that they very often contain ingredients that are irritants and sometimes considered carcinogens, but the regulations haven't caught up. I would much rather use something with less ingredients, with more anecdotal evidence throughout history than something new and possibly estrogenic, irritating, carcinogenic, or accumulating in parts of your body and causing more harm. And it's often impossible to find something meeting all your criteria, especially when you have no idea what to buy and there are many bullshit products on the market.
I agree there are some really bad products out there; I've gotten more conscientious about what I use and I use your shampoo and conditioner all the time. I have wavy/curly hair and been somewhat experimenting with styling but I haven't really had a lot of luck. Part of my problem I think is my hair isn't long enough in some areas like my top/front fringe that is fine and not as thick. I need to maybe have my stylist help me some next time I get a trim.
My mom bought me a hair iron for me because my hair is wavy and I wanted it to be straight, and she said that too much heat can damage my hair. I haven't found the right products, but after you explained that it's necessary for styling hair, I feel more confident
I despise any product on my clean hair. I have a short pixie that I finger dry only. The problem is finding a stylist who can cut wavy thick hair without thinning shears. But a really great cut is the key to get away with no gunk.
I've never used product in my hair. Perhaps it's an individual case but I can style my hair using no product at all. There is only one denominator for me and that is the way I wash my hair and dry it.
@TheSalonGuy I believe the question was worded wrong or weirdly. I think a better question would be how do you style your hair in between wash days when you want to use minimal product. Maybe you start off with a dry shampoo. What's next. Is hair oil on your ends enough to wake up and preserve your style from day before. When people say they want there blowout to last a whole 5 days or longer. What are they talking about. Does that mean you should not grt your hair wet when showering on non wash days. I've also been told that you only want to style your hair on wash days. But how do you refresh your style on non wash days?
How to style your hair with no products? Ans- Dont use shampoo for 3-4 days, now wet your hair, comb your hair to the desired style, let it dry and there you go, it till look good after 4-5 hours. Disclaimer- not for every hairstyle but works for most.
I have long wavy/curly hair... Am I happy with it? Kinda, Is there any products there that can help me achieve the look I want? Yes... The problem is not I'm afraid of using hair products, it's because I'm broke AF and I can not afford to buy a hair product for god sake 🤐
you can do what i used to do until i got a decent job, use vinegar diluted in water, red vinegar better, for our curly hair we have to use cream and condition the hair, there is no way around it. So natural masks like avocado mix with cocoa butter or coconut oil, or try buying masks for curly hair cost around $5 more or less, and use acid shampoo. is a good investment. Heat only when you have product in the hair, like a mask, conditioner or styling cream, I use the iron with aluminum foil to not overheat the hair and still sealing the product with blended oils "for the hair" (don't use normal oils ). and use it at the ends only
I work from home and want to look nice in meetings. But theres only 2 meetings a day. So is it really worth shoving a bunch of wax to style for 1 hour meetings ?
how to get the second hairstyle ( with long hair) iam trying to grow my hair and it’s flat. i don’t understand how the second hairstyle has so much volume and it’s fluffy.
This whole video was spent trying to convince everyone that they can’t style their hair without product, which is not true, but I guess the industry would go bankrupt if they couldn’t sell products. The most effective way to go no product that I’ve found is to completely cut all products INCLUDING shampoo and conditioner. Your natural oils (once they stabilize) can be enough (and worked better than a ton of expensive products I tried). The statement that you can’t go without shampoo/conditioner is false. I and many others have gone clean from products for years and love how my hair styles like it has styling products already in it (except I never get bedhead, I don’t have to wash it out products all the time, and no, it doesn’t smell). I started out with short hair and now have hair down to my belly button. I clean it dry with a boar bristle brush and rinse it every week-2 weeks with spring water. It takes time to stabilize from going no product at first (a few weeks of super oily scalp), but worth a try if you’d like to see what your hair is like completely natural.
just saying, your not taking into account whether or not people actually have the funds for hair styling products. either to buy, or make them. Really, your not. You just ignore the fact that someone literally might not be able to buy any products to style their hair, your just ignoring it so much it frustrates me. And I bet that your saying there isn't a way to style your hair without products just because of your buisness. It's really ignorant, you know. Please, take into account the fact that someone literally may not have the funds for it, and try and find a way.

the issue is that I want my hair to look good every day but if I use hair products every day won't it damage my hair over time, no matter which/whose product Im using
I have to work in a clean room which requires no product in your hair, so I’m looking for ways to cut and style without product short of just shaving it all off.
The reason I want to style my hair without product is really because of my mom. She thinks using any of these products would ruin my hair. It’s gonna turn white at an earlier age. I wish I could but, my mom doesn’t believe it.
You have to do three things. POINT 1. only use a TINY amount of Shampoo. The nail on your small finger. That is how much shampoo you use from now on. Work it over the scalp near the roots of your hair. Wash it out well. POINT 2.Use a nice conditioner. Use a LARGE coin shape of Conditioner. Comb it through your hair. Bring the comb into the shower. Comb it well through your hair. Now wait 3-5 mins. Wash your body. Chill. Sing a song. Now wash out the conditioner. Get it all out. POINT 3. Let your hair dry naturally. Don't fucking touch it. No towel. No hair dryer. If you want you can wrap a towel around your head and go chill out. I just leave mine without a towel. The reason for this is to allow your hair to absorb all of the water. Your hair is going to soak all that water up and be nice and smooth AF. That's it. You might want to practice with getting the correct amount of shampoo and conditioner. It's really important to use a SMALL amount of shampoo. A decent amount of a GOOD conditioner. BUY a good one. and then let your hair dry NATURALLy. Good luck. Follow these instructions and you'll have locks like f*cking Goldylocks bro
I've seen that product buildup is supposed to be bad or your hair. That's why I don't use product. I understand that you can shampoo the product out, but shampoo is also terrible for your hair apparently lol. I try to limit the amount of shampoo I use and using hair products would make that difficult.
Right so my parents don't allow me products and I agree with them since at the end of the day products are chemicals and there's always some damage involved when it comes to chemicals. I love my naturally dense, smooth and shiny hair a lot than to risk potential damage. But at the same time all the hairstyles I see involve some product and I don't know what to do with my hair.
