@@SoziFang64 Yes, cause there is so microscopicly little of it. It is like comparing worlds smallest most detailed diamond to a giant gold ancient historical artifacts exhibition. The diamond is neat and cool but it pales in comparison to sheer size and depth of countless historical artifacts on display.

I never understood how humanity lasted only a few hours. You have the human kicking ass in the first three HL games (HL 1, Opposing Force and Blue Shift). If one marine or one security guard can decimate their ranks, how did the human race fail so fast?

I have listened to this to sleep so many times now. Such a great narration. The Gman is such a well played and memorable character. Every time I watch and you start on HL2 the "rise and shine" part gets stuck in my head. The voice actor does such a good job. Really hits that uncanny valley. "Wake up Mr. Freeman, wake up and smell the ashes."
I would like to extend a personal thank you for this video. I remember when Laidlaw was actively dropping those posts and when he released the script for "Epistle 3", I figured Valve isn't going to take the story anywhere and this guy wrote it so this must be canon. It took a long time for people to even start really including the lore from Laidlaw in their videos and I mean, the topic had already been stale for many years. It just feels nice that someone took the time to organize all the data and to make a full video essay (a high quality one at that) and make it something that can actually be visualized. So yes, thank you Mr. Skyrionn.

Half-Life is full of those small details. I did consider Skyrim, and the Elder Scrolls but there are already some amazing content creators that cover it!

I have great memories of playing half-life 1 for the first time and Blue Shift immediately after. I was and still am fascinating to play through a game from a different perspective and allowing a deeper understanding of that world.
Love all your work, man! I'll always enjoy the HL videos, without a doubt. I have a suggestion (yes, I am THAT idea guy) if you're looking to branch out a tiny bit, like with SOMA.. Prey (2017) is an unbelievably fantastic game that I think is overlooked too often. The world is fantastically created, it has a somewhat rigid timeline of events, and so so so much background information that fill in the blanks. Is it obvious I am too into Prey? :)
