The game destroyed me on Hard... I was level 16 and got messed up in a level 8 cauldron even though I played the first 10 hours two years ago and know the boss fight already. I played through Witcher 3 on death march on the first playthrough, but Horizon always forces me to my knees and to normal difficulty.
Funny fact, I start the game on hard, but I accidently change it when I change the grapich sett (maybe somehow I slide it by mistake) to very hard, I just notice when I already at level 45 and u know what ? very hard is not really difficult...it's somewhat normal for it to be that way...but do enemy spawn more in the open world the harder the diff is ? cuz goddamn on north meridian, the map is just crowded by machine.
@@THeEpiCInFiNEty its fine if they play this game as their first on easy, they might not fully enjoy it if controlling is a an issue. If you don't already have simpler games that have similar movement and inventory management controls then don't bother it.
I bought Horizon Zero Dawn on PC and plan to play it when i finnish Dark Souls 3 new game ++ ( for 100% achievement on steam )... considering i played all of Dark Souls games last few months... should i just start with hard right away... ? I know that it probably does not even compare to Dark Souls in difficulty... but would hard even be remotely challenge-ing in lieu of that games..
I have the complete version (with the dlc) and it has 6 levels of difficulty. I startet with the 4. but switched right away to 5. But I'm thinking about lowering it again because the stronger machines are pretty hard to deal with and they roam around the map randomly. I don't always want to make a run/ use all my equipment to win the fight. The problem is (I'm just 15 hours in so maybe I'm wrong) that you can't always dodge everything perfectly like in other games like god of war. So to beat strong enemies you have to hide somewhere, set up a shitload of traps, shock them and then release all your arrows. This feels less rewarding then other harder games, where you just have to have the right timing and strategie and you can beat any enemie in open combat.
@@Jan-vt4zs oh i get it..i kinda like that "use whatever you've got to survive and pull the victory out of your ass if need be" gameplay... so that sounds cool. I dont have the dlc ( i think it is not even available on PC ) ...but i think i will start with difficulty 5 then :D Tnx for info...
every difficulty has it's charm..why? if you observe behavioral pattern of the machines, you'll see..not only they agression..if you don't see, probably you don't care much about that..think again :) explore..
Just started a week ago but don't play often. Pre-ordered forbidden west. I'm going easy just for the story.
Finishing the game on hard or ultra hard unlocks different things in New Game +, like face paint and focus colors.
Saffire Midnight Yea, but it didn't back then.

Try dark souls, you'll love them all
Cesar :(
Sony games are just bad about difficulty, they just make everything a damage sponge

I started playing on veru hard.i found it too difficult and therefor I swiched to hard but now I find it a bit easy -_-
I don't know, man; I think Normal is Cannon and more fun to some degree.
How the hell would a difficulty be canon??
@@cryomaniac3217 Because it's literally called NORMAL or STANDARD. It's the intended way to play the game as the devs have designed it.

Is easy, easy enough for my gf that never ever played games?
Yes. New players should start with simpler games though, in term of control complexity.

@@THeEpiCInFiNEty spider-man it's pretty easy
There is new update..wich is story mode . That more enjoyable
There is story difficulty too? Is that easier than easy? Lol
That was added after this video. Same as ultra hard.
Either go hard or go home
Yeah I’m gonna up it to hard . I haven’t died in a couple days now
I die on easy lol
You pussy
I die on easy i didnt game for quite a long time
I don't know if you already beat the game now. You can always play story mode which is easier than easy.
