    hey, tony. regarding the 2k clearcoat - how long should I wait the clear to cure before wetsanding or just simply scuffing up to make additional coats? I am air drying my projects at room temperature. the TDS says 12h for operating hardness and 5 days for final hardness. is then 12h enough to sand and recoat? tnx!

      @TonysRefinishingTV  7 лет назад +1

      +seasonedtoker I'd say if you were
      Going to do a flow coat on it then give it atleast 24 hours to cure minimum if no heat is applied to bake out

    Greetings from Ukraine, Tony) is difficult to understand English, but I translate as I can) please tell me why you used the nozzle 1.2 for lacquer? I recently bought myself a W-400 LV2 1.4 for lacquer and acrylic. very happy, incredible spray gun. settings I use such: less by one turn from full feed and less by one turn from the full fan. pressure 2 atm. can you advise the settings of this gun?
    thanks for the video and like)

      hi its just what the gun came as in 1.2 but it does a cracking job, ive got a w400 and use a 1.3 in that

    Audio levels are much better now. I listen at about the same level as other people I subscribe to. The intro is always a problem between channels because it's different from channel to channel and you have to adjust it for a first few seconds. But you have it pretty much ok with respect to the rest of the video. Good work on the bike. I can imagine it was very difficult to get into all the tight spots while avoiding runs.If you're looking for suggestions. I'm wondering how to paint the nose and tail of a '77 Corvette. They are some sort of flexible plastic and I understand you have to put something in the paint (and I guess the primer) to keep the paint flexible.Some advice would be appreciated.Thanks

    • @TonysRefinishingTV
      @TonysRefinishingTV  7 лет назад

      flexible additive yes thats something we could look into video wise

    Tony which gun would you recommend to lay flat finish clear coat for 2:1 thick clear coat.

    • @TonysRefinishingTV
      @TonysRefinishingTV  7 лет назад

      +Slackerz Sincity if it's good quality clearcoat then pretty much any good gun , the sata 5000rp , the devilbiss got prolite or the iwata w400 would all lay you a beautiful coat of clear but obviously it also depends on your budget

    • @slackerzsincity6947
      @slackerzsincity6947 7 лет назад

      Thanks, I'm having trouble laying it down, versus the 4:1 clear coat. Does different clear coat change the color? I have the same batch of color but used a different clear coat and it brightens up the red.

    • @TonysRefinishingTV
      @TonysRefinishingTV  7 лет назад

      some clears if you put them in a clear poly cup are slighlty yellow compared to others that look crystal clear , usually it only causes problems on lighter colours though such as whites where even just where the clear has been blended can look off but yes clears can be a factor as only some are truly clear
