    Hello Sir, how to setting idle jet screw to avoid black spark plugs?

    • @CantharusENG
      @CantharusENG  6 месяцев назад

      If your spark plugs is black, you should use a lower number of idle jet. Typically you start lowering by 2 point.

    Hello, love your videos! I am interested in your opinion. My Vespa PX engine broke, Ineed to change the carter + everything almost, and I was thinking of buying a new carter + polini 177. Do you think is worth it to buy a new carter or I should search for an old one? Will it be reliable? I am very interested in your opinion. Thank you!

    • @CantharusENG
      @CantharusENG  2 года назад +1

      I don't see carter on Polini website may be aren't in production anymore. I suggest to check also Malossi, as Polini Malossi is a great factory and they make a great carter for Vespa if You are looking for performance. They are a bit expensive, it's up to You. Polini is good as well, I don't see carter Polini for Vespa PX.
      Personally i love Malossi, they make a lot of research and product on Vespa.

      @@arancioimpulsivo Vespa is a strong scooter. In Italy there are a lot of Vespa still running from 1960 and much more from 1970. Just make a small maintenance and don't ever run without oil and you will be fine👍🏻👍🏻😊

    Have removed my SI24 from PX, now major problem with oil leaking from autolube through mixer screw in back of carb box. Any ideas how to prevent this? thanks

    • @CantharusENG
      @CantharusENG  Год назад

      Sorry for delay. A little bit of oil leak is normal. Some fuel mixture escape from the air filter due to a back pressure generated from the piston moving back. The gasoline evaporate and the oil start to accumulate until it start dropping from the first point free which is the mixture screw hole from the carburetor box. Is normal as soon as it's 1 or 2 drops at day. More oil may be other stuff.

      @@nareshdesanthiri3192 I don't think You will gain any significant fuel economy, in the opposite running leas You risk to damage and overheat the engine. I don't raccomend using max jet below 98 unless you live at high altitude.
      My Vespa run about 25km/l at sea level. Replace also transmission oil for lower the drag, and tyre pressure (I suggest 2.0 bar front and 2.5bar rear)
