I love the detail when the spider reaches the end of the hall, doesn't find its prey, and then turns around to run back up the hall at speed. It suggests that it might be blind, or even that its perception of space itself is much different than ours.
This definitely has its pros and cons compared to like, the Kane Pixels series… but that moment where the spider opens up the ceiling is honestly SO well done. It gives just enough time to see and register it, but not enough to really think about it.

If you slow down the video to 0.25x speed, it _is_ possible to see just what this entity looks like. I think it might've been some sort of shape-shifting entity, which took the molding, decaying form of its previous victim. Or, it might've been the entity that bald man from Frag2's "Insanity" transformed into when he was going mad in his quarters. Either way, this entity has a shadowy form, partly wearing clothes with "skin" exposed here and there. It has a face similar to the first entity in the video, it seems, or perhaps it's some sort of deformed skull. The thing that has morbidly interested me is...has _anyone_ escaped a direct encounter with an enemy in the Frag2 universe? Equally so, what _was_ in the removed footage?

What I find so terrifying about the concept of the backrooms is that everything is shrouded in such a dense fog of mystery. Especially the entities encountered. I know that technically speaking, almost no information would theoretically exist about the entities because there is a such a high risk of death if a wanderer encountered one. But in the context of these "found tapes", even then we don't see them for more than a few frames at a time. The last entity in the video is what I find especially terrifying. The way it stands, and how it "wills" itself along without moving. The viewer is supposed to be protected because they're just viewing a recording. *Supposedly" watching a video posed no threat. But when it breaks through the door and the entity is censored after just one frame? That adds a while new layer of depth for me. What is it? What does it want? Why is it censored?? Something I think a lot of people make the mistake of in this series is making the monsters/threat too known. What makes a lot of monsters scary or at least within the backrooms is the vagueness and the unknown knowledge about them. I think you did an excellent job of creating monsters that are explained enough to be threats but still not giving away what they are and what they do. With the spider identity, you can tell it's a spider like creature. But you still don't exactly know what it does. The spider creature entering through the top creates this paranoia and questioning over what it can do. along with this is it's very quiet nature when crawling through the ceiling. Can the creature crawl through anywhere and appear anytime? Does this creature already know where i am? is it above me and I don't know it? is it trying to wait till my back is turned? that is what I think makes a good backrooms monster is using the sense of paranoia and the fear of the unknown. To wander around this senseless place and not knowing if you're safe or if something is following you. The same could be said for the last monster. It's hard to see what the creature is from a distance but as soon as it starts chasing you, you can tell its a threat. But based on my assumption, another creature appears at the end that's either A) The creature from before but it teleported to the other side of the door or B) another version/clone/entity of the same kind. It can work both either ways. If its a teleportation situation, it can be similar to the first creature's situation where you don't know where this monster will appear. But this time, when the monster chases you, you don't know if the monster will suddenly teleport in front of you as you're running away from it or if it plays tricks on you and constantly teleports around so that you can't escape. But if its another entity of the same kind or a clone, it brings even more questions of paranoia. a new line of questions appear over how many are there in each level? how many of this entity are there? if there's more, does that mean I'll run into them much more quicker? does that mean I can be overwhelmed much more quicker? by adding more questioning and more situations where the possibility of dying seems to increase every time a new ability or creature is introduced is what creates a scary atmosphere. the uncertainty over whether or not you'll be safer or if the situation will get worse is what keeps a person on their toes. A very excellent video on the backrooms!

I remember that I had weird dreams (or visions, fantasy) about pool rooms that looked like this in my childhood. The places in my dreams looked similar to these in the video, white tiled cold rooms with deep blue water pools (often very deep and connected with thalassophobia). Its very interesting to see that apparently many people can relate to these kind of places. Maybe its because as children, we often visit public water parks/swimming pools and they often look so different from the places we normally see, so its something thatgets deeply engrained into our subconscious minds and this is why these pool rooms feel relatable to many people.
Everyone is overlooking how excellent the sound design is. I love how you put in the time to make it sound like the person recording the video is actually wet. Especially when they leave the water, and you can hear their wet feet slapping against the hard floor. Good job bro
I love anything associated or similiar to that of the feeling, familiarity, and nostalgia and just general look im receiving from "The Poolhouse" section. I feel so comfortable and almost lost in it's entire feeling, the sounds, the visuals, the lighting, i can literally feel shivers because i can quite literally feel myslef in that concept. Amazing yet terryfying.
I found out recently that many people including myself find images of swimming pools or related things to be very nostalgic or at least trigger some sort of very strong but mostly forgotten memory. Probably the relaxing blue tiles and the water.
The areas around 2:05 is my only critique. You rendered the cut walls a little too thin, where it looks fake, but literally everything looks so real! Great job. 👍
this is a alternate bizarre reality that everything in it looks weird or something of that nature so it would look ok to have errors like that it makes the place look more bizarre
I really like how you guys are exploring these concepts of the horror of the infinite, the unknown, and that feverish feeling of being watched and pursued. the backrooms as a concept was kind of interesting but folks like frag and kane are really metabolizing all these massive concepts in such a raw and cool way. and y'all are so young! I am so excited for the future and the cool stuff you'll make.
Great work man, really love the vibe that the poolhouse brought on. Sound design was fantastic as well. How did you accomplish the camera movements? The running, the way he turns corners, etc all very realistic. Great work
This feel more like the backrooms. I would love if you made a series where a victim wonders in a random level showing the levels, no deep deep lore just the glory and stuff of the levels.
In my opinion, the monster at 2:05 is WAY better than the monsters in Kane Pixel's backrooms found footage, I mean, it IS true you could push those monsters over and there's no way they could get up. The one here is like a big spider
Bro I swear to god the second entity is my idea of a nightmare: a monster, completely silent, chasing you down a long, seemingly endless hall, nowhere to hide, only able to pray to god you’re faster than it, which you visibly aren’t. Ik there’s lots of people talking about the first entity but for me the second one drives the whole performance home, awesome job 👍
I like how you didn't need loud horror jumpscare music to make that monster's entry terrifying! The way he just calms slides the panel open and peeks at the cameraman is nightmare fuel!!!
I like how the 1st entity can be seen clipping through the walls. It really demonstrates how physically unstable the backrooms are Edit: having the backrooms in your video CAN be an excuse to have animation errors i guess. idk

@@sirpixel7945 nah, its actually more like real spiders sitting around and sleeping or resting. When they see anything other than eachother moving, they go for the kill without making a sound (from their mouths atleast, if they even have any)
The chase sequence in this is so well done, i fucking hate spiders and you captured the movement perfectly. It was just like something out of one of my nightmares.
This is amazing! You’re getting pretty good results. There’s only a few parts where the shake of the camera feels a little too controlled to be realistic, like on the ladder. There are also parts that look too much like a 3D model, the ladder again, the metal door to the apartments, and some of the halls in the pool house. Outside of that, almost all the shots had me complete immersed! I hope you keep up the good work!
The people in the back rooms must be really brave. Even the fact that there are monsters that could probably all together kill all of the human population, this series is genuinely scary. I’m not gonna be able to sleep at night.
The fact you created something that’s based off another’s work and you still made it creative and on edge. I was honestly chilled at the end with the second chase, and my god the pool scenes were amazingly done! Felt super real! My only critique I think someone mentioned was the thinness of the walls in the lobby making it seem plasticity and unreal like but I think you did a great job making the space eerie enough for the backrooms. If you don’t mind I would love to see more of the entities in the pool level, I think that would be awesome! Cool video :)

This is one of my favourite backroom videos, hands down. I loved especially the Poolhouse - so surreal and eerie without needing much. Please keep going, you are incredibly talented!
I loved the entity's design, nature, and just feel in general. The way it just gunned after him/her was so well made and also gotta say the detailing is so good it almost looks real
I woke up with a hangover today then went back to sleep. I always have bad dreams when I do that. In my dream I was wondering through some backrooms like area. All the rooms had white ceilings, white walls and blue carpets. At one point I was writing on a piece of paper with a pen, the blue ink smudged very easily.
Had a recent weird dream where i almost got into the backrooms. It started like a studio lot (kinda like warner brothers but inside/outside at the same time). Some vague amalgamation of taylor swift was droning on, getting louder as i got closer. When i turned the corner, the studio building became "inside" and looked to repeat itself for a long stretch down a dark hall. The only light was at the end of it and whatever doors repeated on the sides. I turned around as soon as i noticed after turning the corner. luckily i got outta there.
I actually can’t decide what’s more terrifying, the eerie silence of these entities, or Kane Pixels’ entity’s noises (which I personally think sound terrifying).
Okay that spider chasing you had my heart racing. Great job ducking in that corner. For the rest of the nightmare. I think I would be walking slowly and peaking around corners.
Great. Keep doing great work. Excited for the other levels and the cave system with your flashlight. I have seen the pools in memes. Never thought it was part of the back rooms, thought it was abstract art at first. Saw the pools before I knew about the back rooms…
Dudeee the entities that you displayed in this video is not only accurate and horrifying, but extremely immersive and very intense, and it really captures the idea of "If you're in the backrooms and you at least hear something, you're inevitably dead regardless of how much or long you run, 11/10 broski I love it!
Omg that was really creepy! It doesn't usually bother me but there was just something about the way that thing dropped from the ceiling that freaked me tf out😳😨😰
I don't think sliding through a huge-ass Backrooms slide where you can't see clearly the end is a good idea... Honestly, unless he didn't have another path left to go, he just deserved it, like what the heck, the face-bonk against a wall was so previsible in such a random and incomprehensible dimension, worst thing you can do is go into a path that doesn't seem to have a way back, even worse if there's a hole at the end xD Anyways, this was fricking amazing, 10/10, the ambience omg
This has a lot of potential! Your use of sound is sort of 50-50 i think... I loved the way the sound ambience opens up at 0:19, that was super immersive! But the entity at the end that we're running from seems to sound closer behind us than it really is, so I think there could be some audio tweaks here and there to better convey the proximity of some things. I think details like that go a long way! I feel you do have the skills to get these sound details right, but currently the audio's just a bit inconsistent in places, that's all. Keep up the good work though, seriously! This is really great!
that thing at 3:08 I swear I seen something like that in my nightmares before... and the way it's just standing there waiting. hella creepy😩like, wtf is that?😭😭
the poolhouse wasn't terrifying in of itself, but the sound of the swimming was so scary to me. the idea of it being so quiet that just gently swimming or walking in ankle deep water is extremely loud makes me worry about being heard by something aaaaaaaaaa
this is why i love this sorta stuff so much. i wanna explore these unfamiliar places so bad, and maybe even study the anomalous life! if it wouldnt cost me my frontal lobe and all my other body parts.. i love the creature design too, it just shows raw spookiness, nothing too extreme, just something interesting to think about, but would be completely horrifying to undergo in real life.
