The thing I like about the backrooms so much is how realistic it looks, looks like real life. They need to make video games look this realistic but without the blur and static on screen
That’s because with cgi they’ll have it start loading, what’s good is that loading is gonna look amazing, problem it can take days or weeks to render it all at that level of definition. Can’t have the graphics rendering that long on a video game
1:42 This is absolutely nostalgic but in a something is very wrong sort of way. In the wiki dot lore the game master dwells here doesn't it? I'm throughly convinced after Frag 2 is the only one to bring this level to life that the backrooms is a fictional manifestation of 90s kids and 90s babies childhood memories materialized into it's own alternate dimension. The uncanny unmistakable feeling I get from the arcade level is strong late 90s and early 2000s fun factory, chunky cheese and Dave n' busters vibes. It makes me feel warm and comfortable but placed in that setting simultaneously very anxious and twitchy.
That’s actually a good point about the whole back rooms lore, It’s suppose to bring you back to the good old days when you were a kid and loved going into chucky cheese, arcades and swimming pools. If a kid was bought into this dimension just out of nowhere he’d think oh yay I get all this to my self and he’d be having fun for a while then all the fun disappears once he hears something breathing behind he’s back
I love how you made your partygoer! The only criticism I have is that the arcade felt too alive, but I cannot complain too much, this is still really good regarless
I think the arcade seeming so alive yet completely empty is a good touch, it provides a somewhat calm feeling, but also really uneasy because you won’t know or hear anything around the corners.
thats the point of some liminal spaces they are places that would normally be alive and do look alive but without anybody except you in them they become unnerving
For the people who don't know the first level at the beginning is level run for your life also know as level "!" in this levek is a 12 mile hallway and you spawn half way so you have to sprint 6 miles but as soon as you spawn a group of entitys or a huge entity (like this one) will chase you the closer you run to the exit obstacles will appear such as chairs, tables and hospital beds on some of them are these energy bars that instantly refill your energy tye only known way out is to reach the exit at the end of your 6 mile sprint FUN fact: it's random when you appear here so traveling through more levels makes the chance higher also you will be here once and only once but once you escape you will be teleported to safe levels such as one with a house full of friendly outposts and infinite food and almond water Frag pin this so everyone can see it!
Running into objects looks fantastic. By the way, have you ever read "The House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski? The backrooms are basically totally stolen from this book that came out in like 1998
Thats so cool, ima definitely need to check that out. But whoever stole it definitely read "Steal Like an Artist" by Austin Kleon. Which is an incredible book , worth the read.
House of leaves for the win. You're not ready. Only read the special print additions... Seals in the effects of terror in the safety of your own safe spaces.
The chaotic crawling/clattering of that first entity really provides an accurate sense of the utter chaos and disorientation of the backrooms wanderer. Great sound design for the arcade level! ❤️
I'm impressed with creators, like Frag2, who explore more varied backroom environments as seen here with the Exit Hall and (in particular) the Arcade Room. Too many developers seem to only focus on the yellowing first floor and it's entities. Well done!
The movements of Frag 2's entities are horrifyingly organic and quick. I'd go as far to say it's monster hunter tier in terms of actual animation quality. That said I do preference the pure leminal space subtle "you're completely alone in an alternate dimension that looks similar to earth but isn't." That type scares me far more than the wiki dot and most main canonical lore but that's probably because the pure leminal space version has real life nostalgia implications.
It’s funny, the monster aspect is scary, but the liminal space is terrifying to me to the point where I prefer them over the guy in the video being completely alone. Existential stuff makes me go down a mental rabbit hole, while the terror of monsters is something very rooted in reality 🤷♂️
The Wikidot isn′t really using the liminal spaces as it′s main source of horror content anymore, to be fair. It′s more about what the hell can happen to you and the abstract rules needed to survive which give it′s horror.
1:45 I legit had a dream with a place like this, except with more of a variety of arcade machines, like street fighter 2 turbo and bubble bobble. It seemed endless, yet so familiar
I get it people don’t haavvee to be into the back rooms stuff but my god frag dose so much work perfectly with animation to backgrounds to even just getting the perfect back rooms feeling and only have 79k?! We gotta change that this man deserves at least 1mil
im recently new into the backrooms lore and stuff, and one of the first channels i noticed were Kane, Queve and you. I have to say that since the first solo exploration you made (which is the first i saw from you) you are improving in the animations and movement a lot. It amazes me what you and many people are able to do by just using a 3d modelling program. Looking forward to see more, your work is fantastic!
The Anxiety of being chased by an entity through a 15 mile hallway on level !, The Red balloon noclipping through the ceiling while music play's on a level, And the empty arcade machine's with no one around playing with them on level 389. It really captures the fact that we aren't always alone and instead either being watched or attempting to kill us if we're not careful.
I hope Frag 2 continues to make even more content like this including more horrific but cool monsters that are really worth seeing it would be epic if there was one that did merging with other monsters to become even bigger and more stranger than before now that would be insane!
Let's gooooooo he included the ! Level (aka th run for you life level) and we get to see that spider entity again and- wait,.. IS THAT THE ARCADE LEVEL (level 40 or 3999, i'm not sure tho) ? Ok, everything you make is very high quality and you always manage to do some really good stuff, anyway, Keep up the good work !
The detail on how the monster in the beginning trips or slides or falls or has his run streak broken by a operation table is a pretty neat detail even though you can barely see it, but still cool
I like how the idea of clipping in happens in neglected and uncared for spots where the lingering fear and creepiness, like a common connection between the glitched unoccupied backrooms and our intact full of vitality reality. Thus we find that jammimg between door hinges, or perhaps finding a way to the hoistway floor, are acceptable as passageways to the backrooms
Oh wow, you even did the ! Level! Everything there is to say about these are always already said, but I can at least say you did a great job as usual. I can't wait to see your take on levels 9 and 130, those are two of my favorites that I know of.
It's awesome how this guy got out of level run for life, Escape the partygoer, And also got to an arcade level that I can't tell if it's level 3999 or 24.
I like the idea that the entities in the backrooms are "unused assets." Each one is unique, something that might have existed but was chucked into the backrooms just in case they wanted to implement them later.
The calm way this guy just walks around the backrooms and how he always find a way to escape the dangers means for certantly that he is a MEG agente. Plus: Love how frag is more close to the original backroom lore; Kane videos, even though they're great, takes a more individual and different approach to the original ideia, so its nice to see someone following the original version
I feel like this the most accurate video of level ! I've ever seen with thing blocking your way and sirens. One thing it should have many entities chasing you instead of one, to be fair it might crash the software
1:20 bruh this reminds me of a dream I had years ago before the Backrooms "became a thing"! When I was around 7 - 9 I had a dream where I was at my old church (Note: it was/is a big church that is easy to get lost in). I was there alone for my parents where working there aparently. I kept walking around and would come across random things just laying around like its normal. There was this janitor vacuming in the backrooms in the middle of the room and he yeld at me to not walk where they just vacumed. then a monster got him... I remember the feeling of falling in my dream and woke up but felt like I was awake the whole time... was I in the backrooms back then???!!!
@@Aquamarine_skies The thing that makes it more scary is that I was sleeping in my moms office at the time. So I was either dreaming I was exploring the giant church cause I was too tired, or I was always awake the whole time during that time back then... idk what to believe. just the fact the Backrooms are getting more attention than ever before is making me think its not the latter.
@@pillbypac-xito2053 I think it was on the 2nd floor in the "outside" location. "The Backrooms: The Party Goers" ... I love to dance my nights away at the clubs, but now I can't seem to call myself a party goer without feeling this irresistible cringe, and a slight chill run down my spine after seeing and hearing many commentators describe their terrifying and deceptive nature. Great work Frag 2 😎✊🏾
Loving the suspenseful atmosphere. Not knowing whether or not a giant bug or creepy monster is around the corner really ramps up the fear. The arcade section was a surprise, keep it up!
Alright let me go over what you just saw. The red hallway was “Level !” aka “Level RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!” You just randomly get sent here and the level is a 12 mile long hallway but you’ll spawn in 6 miles in (halfway) as soon as you spawn in you need to start running. Don’t look back, don’t stop. You will hear a hoard of entities chasing you and none are friendly. Your goal is to make it all the way to the end of the hallway. If you get caught then prepare for the most painful and drawn out death possible. There will be things in the way like Hospital beds, desks, and even Clumps. Sometimes you can find an energy bar to help you keep going but they’re hard to come by and you have to eat them while running. After reaching the end you’ll be sent back to the level you were on before and you’ll never be sent back to this level again. “Level Fun =)” is the area he was after escaping “Level !” So we can assume that’s where this wanderer was before being sent to “Level !”. “Level Fun =)” represents a bunch of party rooms with decorations and cakes but don’t eat these because they are made of human people. This level is a trap and tries to lure you in with the comfort of a party. Do not trust anything that tells you to come to this level. “Level 40” is the last area shown in this video and it is the safest of the three levels shown. This level seems to be an infinite arcade with classic arcade games. There are games exclusive to this level and I will just get their descriptions from the wikidot. Yoinkers II - The main objective is to 'yoink!' the other opponent into the river on either side via a ball that you can throw at varying speeds. An anomalous property found is that, if the speed is high enough, the glass screen can crack and eventually break where one of the characters can consciously throw the ball towards the Wanderer in reality. However, the throw is very light, so it doesn't cause much damage. Googler Space - You play as a captain of a ship as you drive the ship to avoid asteroids and gunfire. The premise is fairly simple and seems to last infinitely. No known oddities have been found as of yet. Toppletop - A simple game where you have to catch different foods that fall from the sky and avoid the simple hazards via jumping. However, the different levels get increasingly more difficult and anomalous to the point of the character begging for help and seems to remember the user if they have played Toppletop before. When the character dies from one of the hazards, they don't seem to come back until you play it again next time you visit Level 40. The Grand Finale!!! - Seems to be an average top-down racing game for its time. However, the cars seem to just freeze in place after round 12 and the screen will start to corrupt until everything disappears. Soon after, the screen will display the word "Why?". General Starflare:Wild Space - The game tasks and mechanics resemble the popular real life game 'Pokémon' as you have to capture other lifeforms in a ring-like device that allows you to use them in battle against foes. Once far enough into the game, the surroundings don't seem to work, and eventually the user completely disappears instantly without a trace. It is advised to avoid this game at all costs. Well that’s all the levels shown off in this video. Overall I really liked the presentation I think you showed off these levels well!
I love how at the beginning it shows the aranea membri getting harmed, it hitting Its side on something and groaning in pain. Showing its not invincible. That might have been the only way the cameraman got away. Also, the monster we see later on seems to be a partygoer, but i have a little suspicion its a hallucination due to the amount of time this cameraman would have had to spend running to escape Level ! and the general nature of the backrooms.
(Some details of the thing later on) it seems you can see its rib cage through its skin either it just being how it looks or the creature is hungry the eyes are lines though going down the mouth doesn't have a inside there is only more of that creatures (maybe) flesh its arms and legs are very skinny this info may be used to determine what this entity is and it can be either 1. Frags interpretation of a skin stealer or 2. What you said a partygoer which from the looks is from frags interpretation
I love how the beginning starts with a crazy tense chase, a great and unique start from usual backroom vids. Gives a completely different energy to the piece in general, especially as it cuts so violently to a new eerie environment. Awesome work!
I love that Level "!" is getting so much recognition, as it is, maybe, the most adrenaline, nerve and stress-inducing of all of them (well, I guess that depends on the phobias of each person). I can't wait for videos on other levels, like the negative ones, or the liminal levels like THE SH4DY GR3Y or the White and Black levels.
I think that a way to increase your chances of survival in Level ! is by as you run by chairs and other objects that move on wheels, you can push them towards the entities to cause them to fall down
The way the stomping got closer as he got closer to the door gave me shivers. The sound design is well done as well as the animation and monsters. Both you and Kane are extremely good at making these kinds of stuff.

"A powerful rat known as *charles entertainment cheese* ."
That’s actually a good point about the whole back rooms lore,
It’s suppose to bring you back to the good old days when you were a kid and loved going into chucky cheese, arcades and swimming pools.
If a kid was bought into this dimension just out of nowhere he’d think oh yay I get all this to my self and he’d be having fun for a while then all the fun disappears once he hears something breathing behind he’s back
that's the point
chunky cheese.
Seems legit
@@could_possiblybe_thane07echo mmmhhhh so chunky cheese mmmhhh chunky
0:12 The entity: AAAAAAAA
I love how you made your partygoer! The only criticism I have is that the arcade felt too alive, but I cannot complain too much, this is still really good regarless
Isn't that the point of an arcade?
the arcade feeling alive then suddenly experiencing a blackout was good though
I think the arcade seeming so alive yet completely empty is a good touch, it provides a somewhat calm feeling, but also really uneasy because you won’t know or hear anything around the corners.
thats the point of some liminal spaces they are places that would normally be alive and do look alive but without anybody except you in them they become unnerving
For the people who don't know the first level at the beginning
is level run for your life also know as level "!" in this levek is a 12 mile hallway and you spawn half way so you have to sprint 6 miles but as soon as you spawn a group of entitys or a huge entity (like this one) will chase you the closer you run to the exit obstacles will appear such as chairs, tables and hospital beds on some of them are these energy bars that instantly refill your energy tye only known way out is to reach the exit at the end of your 6 mile sprint
FUN fact: it's random when you appear here so traveling through more levels makes the chance higher also you will be here once and only once but once you escape you will be teleported to safe levels such as one with a house full of friendly outposts and infinite food and almond water
Frag pin this so everyone can see it!
Yeah but he was just unlucky to be teleported to the birthday party room
2:15 Someone did a loud fart at this part irl and it genuinely scared me
Running into objects looks fantastic.
So many great ideas for the backrooms could be taken from a quick read through of the house of leaves
A lot of the backrooms videos I see though that are VHS style with the date on the screen say 1990 something, could be a homage maybe?
@@glurp2661 just a coincidence I suppose it's not like it was a super popular book
The chaotic crawling/clattering of that first entity really provides an accurate sense of the utter chaos and disorientation of the backrooms wanderer.

That said I do preference the pure leminal space subtle "you're completely alone in an alternate dimension that looks similar to earth but isn't."
That type scares me far more than the wiki dot and most main canonical lore but that's probably because the pure leminal space version has real life nostalgia implications.

It′s more about what the hell can happen to you and the abstract rules needed to survive which give it′s horror.

im recently new into the backrooms lore and stuff, and one of the first channels i noticed were Kane, Queve and you. I have to say that since the first solo exploration you made (which is the first i saw from you) you are improving in the animations and movement a lot. It amazes me what you and many people are able to do by just using a 3d modelling program. Looking forward to see more, your work is fantastic!

I never actually noticed that the cameraman says "What the fuck?" When the balloon clips into the ceiling lol
I like the idea that the entities in the backrooms are "unused assets." Each one is unique, something that might have existed but was chucked into the backrooms just in case they wanted to implement them later.
Finally! A guy that doesn’t runs like sonic after drinking redbull

Hopefully not
@@Aquamarine_skies The thing that makes it more scary is that I was sleeping in my moms office at the time.
1:34 Dude was just happy about somebody attending his birthday party
He should have taken one of the trays in the hallway and wanged NoFace upside the head to buy himself more time

I like you leaning more into the wiki's lore. You could try to adapt one of the tales from the wiki into a video form, I used to do a few of those.
I'm still not terribly convinced a human could outrun that thing at the beginning, but still a pretty scary situation to be in.
