Dave is the driving factor for why I wanted to learn guitar. I love how he is so freaking talented playing drums, guitar, singing and I'm sure much more. A lovely man who I truly admire so much.

I agree he's talented, but I saw Cobain perform a few months before he died. He was probably high on heroin, but he poured his soul into it, and near the beginning of the show, he saw a girl in the crowd that appeared to be under assault. He dove off the stage in the middle of a song, and went to help her. Then when he got back up there, he said that he'd stop the show if anything like that happened again. He was shaking with emotion. Kurt was legit, no matter his personal demons.

I wanted to start over I had to start over. I then got in the mail of a acceptance letter to a college I wanted to go. So I quit my dead end job. Packed up my stuff and moved. There's some funky stuff going on in the bridge...Asus2, E, F#m (w/ open B & high E), D ("free"), Dm ("again") However, the Chorus after the bridge uses a D rather than a Dm. It's a subtle detail, but makes it sound true.

I was at their concert last night and Dave Grohl had a cold. He said that he would *never* cancel a show for a cold. He was very hoarse at the end.

Dave's just so talented especially after being the best drummer to an iconic band to foo fighters who's gotten mad hits. He's really just an icon. I give him MAD props. He's came so far and every song he's put out is good. The lyrics, beats and the energy is just outta control.

This song helped me thru a lot of shit. After a breakup, after a long long relationship , after losing my dog, car, and place in life. I then said I had it after I had a small vacation to Seattle. I wanted to start over I had to start over. I then got in the mail of a acceptance letter to a college I wanted to go. So I quit my dead end job. Packed up my stuff and moved. Just like the song in life you gotta learn to walk again and find your place again and not give up no matter how hard the challenge is you get up never say die and run thru that fire.
For someone who has been on the wagon and battling alcoholism..this song means a lot to me. Those lyrics fit my mind set perfectly.

The basic verse/chorus chords are A, E, Bm, Dm. Dave's playing most of them at the 7th Fret, letting the open bass notes ring open. There's some funky stuff going on in the bridge...Asus2, E, F#m (w/ open B & high E), D ("free"), Dm ("again") However, the Chorus after the bridge uses a D rather than a Dm. It's a subtle detail, but makes it sound true.
