Yesterday I stumbled across a camp and almost fell into it when I was looking for the vendor. It‘s located right under a bridge near RobCo headquarters. And you only see four turrets protecting the place but you don‘t see the camp until you‘re almost falling through a hole in the road. And it looks really nice lived in and fallout style.
Some very nice spots for a CAMP. I generally choose mine at a rare flat space to build on with easy access to resources. Current/past CAMP spots: - Cranberry Bog: lead extractor + brain fungus spawn + dirty water - NW part of map: adjacent farm that grows cranberries, pumpkins, and spawns bugs (makes “kill bugs” challenges easy) - Near Morgantown: fire caps, starlight berries, snaptail, water supply, adjacent to a workshop - adjacent to the Wayward, tons of water, heavy traffic for my vendor, traveling merchant visits often, settler/raider reputation farm at the Slocum’s Joe next door - Morgantown: large flat paved area, perfect for BoS Outpost themed CAMP. Ghoul spawn point within range of artillery and missile turrets. LOTS of explosions and dead ferals. Ad Victorium!
New spot in Skyline Valley, go to Camp Liberty. Go to the island at the center, swim over to the water fall, under the surface of the water youll find a underwater tunnel that leads to an open air space thats buildable if you got the patience to find how things can be placed.

2:17 Dude I think we just solved the mystery of Stonehenge, ….so Super Mutants erected the car monument (according to Oxhorn) so maybe there were giant humans living on earth back in the day that were strong enough to lift and erect Stonehenge????
They filled the whole area in with dirt or sand to put the last stones on top. Then they dig all the dirt back out. Same thing they did with the pyramids. The wind actually moves giant sand dunes for them over time.
So i have a Base a bot north west of there in the Mire and get constantly harassed by Super Mutants and Mothmen even though it was an empty spot when i first set down my camp there... Is that an issue with the Bunker location too? Or can i live there relatively in peace without spending a big chunk of my building limit on defense?
Every single time you load into game if you take CAMP #2 you will be fighting something, 75% the time is a Blue Devil, Ogua, Flatwoods Monster, etc... the rest of the time you will still be fighting something, but not as deadly, all sort of Deathclaw or YaoGuai. I could not stand it, moved my CAMP just NW of that spot, there is a really nice flat spot right on a trail, just up the hill. (but not up the cliff to that other prebuilt area) Then you can choose to walk down and fight whatever baddie spawns or not.
Camp location 5 has been my secret sauce since the beginning of the game! Managed to build a house above the bunker that’s built into the pylon
I still haven't tried it myself but I just love coming out here ever once in a while, its so nice!

What is the error? Is the camp not placeable? Maybe someone else was near by?
