- Hybrids are rightfully associated with great fuel efficiency and lower emissions but hybrids can also deliver performance. To put that claim to the test we asked 10-time national champion Arjun Balu to set a lap time with the 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid. We got a 1:28.43 lap time which is a new lap record for a hybrid car at the Kari Motor Speedway. We need a lap time for the now discontinued Accord hybrid. I believe it handles quite a bit better than the Camry.
The new camry is way better than the discontinued accord in every possible way, especially when it comes to handling new camry is a step up.

@@ShubhoBose this generation of camry is the best handler in the segment after the superb so i don't know how and what makes you say this that accord is a better handler and many other journalists have also claimed that the new generation camry is way better than the accord, but yeah it maybe your perception and i respect that.

A relative of mine has just bought a white 2022 Camry hybrid and TBH in person it looks even wider than a Innova and the rear seat comfort and suspension is just superb

we need lap times for superb, audi a3, audi a4, bmw 330i, mercs and more for comparison. No clue where 1:28:43 stands.
🧠 -> USE THIS. They have clearly said, that it's lap run for a Hybrid.
The audi RSQ8 did the lap in 1 min 13seconds so the camry doing the lap in 1 min 28seconds is quite respectable , camry has improved in a lot of aspects handling being on of them

Daddy's car of US becomes luxury car here in India?
Same as Toyota Land Cruiser used as recreational sand dune basher in UAE becomes expensive and luxurious Lexus in US.
Just like Skoda Superb which used in Europe as taxis becomes a luxury car in India.
Camry is not a luxury car. It's an executive sedan. In India it's priced as a luxury car due to Toyota's habit of overpricing all of its fleet!
Better then fortuner in every aspect feature rich Toyota missing only electric boot tail gate release that is given by its segment the only advantage of fortuner is 4×4 if it has awd then awesome sedan
4x4 is not the same as AWD pal, its not even gonna make the car better at track, okly AWD does so comparing a low slung sedan to a beefy SUV is impractical

Beautiful interior,hybrid,reliability very quiet cabin (yeah I took the test drive of it) and saying it’s not a luxury is well what can I say to you...the power it holds. Maybe you gonna say land cruiser is not a luxury SUV?

Well you got what does a luxury cars offer...or get a Avalon.
German cars bills are high and plastic, maintenance pretty much High. It gives good road presences and the lap of completes in that time is pretty good for a car like that.
For the price it counted as a luxury or you can get a Lexus ES 350 where “luxury gets complete”
